Chapter 9

There was a jolt that quickly ran through SeulGi’s body. When she somehow recovers from the shock, she asks Irene, “S-So you do have?”

Irene narrows her eyes at SeulGi who can’t hold her stares, Irene asks, “Why does it matter if I answer you are not?”

“I don’t care if you don’t answer.”

Irene unintentionally twitches an eye, “Then I won’t.”

“Okay.” SeulGi only nods.

SeulGi knows that her answer rubbed Irene the wrong way again. For SeulGi can feel the same cold aura Irene have been emitting ever since. The same aura which SeulGi thought Irene lost from the few days they were together.

“Well, I heard you are no saint, either.” Irene flips her hair, “I heard from somewhere that you dated someone from your younger years? Middle school, perhaps?”

SeulGi could only burrow her eyebrows together in confusion, “What? Now who are you talking to lately? That’s completely insane.”

Irene coldly shrugs, “Oh, what’s his name again?” Irene acts like she’s trying to remember. She eyes SeulGi once more before saying, “BaekHyun, was it?”

SeulGi’s eyes widen for a split second just by the mere mention of the name.

This made Irene – to what SeulGi thinks it is – smirk, “Hit the nail on the head, I see?”

“W-Where did you get that?” SeulGi tries not to quiver.

“Somewhere.”

“Well, it’s not true.”

“Is it?”

“Yes. That’s complete crap.” SeulGi assures Irene.

“Okay, whatever you say, Kang.” Irene walks by SeulGi, “It’s not my business to pry on your love life.”

SeulGi then feels Irene stop behind her, she hears Irene say,

“So it’s none of your business to pry on mine.”

SeulGi also knows that they are back to normal after that conversation; and with normal, SeulGi meant the cold, y persona of Princess Irene again.

She doesn’t know what exactly went through her head or Irene’s when they talked about their private lives.

She just knows now that she should not cross that line.
