We're Not Okay
Seoul MadnessPeople think they're okay.
But the truth is,
They're far from okay.
A broken relationship,
And two broken hearts.
The first time they actually quarreled really badly,
Was the time he unfollowed her for the second time on Instagram,
On purpose.
Youngji had been all chill the first time he unfollowed her.
He had explained to her that the company had instructed all the GOY7 members to unfollow everyone else,
Except themselves, some staff and some family members, you get the idea.
Jackson had unfollowed Youngji, along with a bunch of other people (even Joon!).
But Youngji was totally okay with it.
He had called her to explain and apologise, reassuring that this simple unfollowing thing will not hurt their relationship.
She believed.
"How gullible." she would hiss under her breath everytime she thinks of it now.
The second time this whole unfollowing thing happened,
Youngji was not chill with it.
Far from being 'chill' in fact.
Like really really far.
She wasn't angry at first and had no intention to blow up at him either.
She's not a petty person,
Everyone knows that.
He had called her again to expain.
She appreciates the fact that he calls to explain,
But she's definitely not happy with his explaination.
"Hello mushroom~" he had greeted cheerfully the moment she picked up his call that morning.
"Hello Wang Kong, what's up?" she replied, putting him on speaker as she moved around her dorm to get ready for the day.
"I unfollowed you again... You saw?" he spoke carefully.
"Yeah. Hey you know I'm not a petty person, don't sweat it." Youngji laughed as she fiddled with her hair roller.
"Just thought I should explain." Jackson replied and Youngji swore she could see him shrug at the other end.
"Okay then, suit yourself, I'm listening." she had replied casually as she leans forward to check her makeup again.
"Well... I thought we should make our relationship as low key as possible." he said.
Youngji stopped and moved away from the mirror. She reached for her phone and brought it up closer to her.
"What?" she replied with a frown.
"What?" he responded.
Youngji's face turned darker.
"Am I an embarrassing friend? That you have to keep our relationship low key? Do you not treasure what we have between us?" Youngji had furiously accused.
Jackson kept silent and that irritated her further.
"Are you going to keep silent like you always do? I always publicly talk about you, support you, and this is what I get? I'm not going to even begin talking about how you rarely show support for me publicly, it's like you're ashamed of me or something. Yeah sure you're the one with the over one million followers and I haven't even hit half of your follower count. It's really hurting me how much our relationship is worth to you." she furiously ranted.
"I'm trying to protect you." Jackson had tried to reason, but Youngji would have none of it.
"How many times do I have to tell you that I'm not a baby and I can and I will protect myself?!" she raised her voice at him.
With a click,
The line went dead.
Jackson had hung up on her.
"You're a jerk." Youngji muttered, her face turning darker and darker.
She felt it was unfair that she's committing and putting so much effort to maintain their relationship,
But to her,
His efforts were not enough,
It was as if he didn't - or never - cared.
Somewhere else,
Somewhere away,
Jackson glared at his reflection in the mirror.
A few days passed and he
