Chapter 1 - Winter Awakening
Monochrome(Tae Hyun's POV)
The remnants of his slumber were visibly crusted at the corner of his eyes as they fluttered open, attempting to combat the unwelcome sunlight peeping through the blinds. Hands raised in defense, he rubbed wearily at his eyes, trying to force them open in his half awake, half asleep daze. It was yet another day, or has it been another week? Or was it just the same day being eternally long? He no longer knew. He gave up battling heavy eyelids as his arm swung to one side, turning his body away from the painful glare. Crash! '', he groaned internally as he sent one of the many empty beer bottles to the tiled floor. That meant more cleanup added to the never-ending list of mess he had created in his little cave. But what did it matter, when everything else was falling apart in his life?

Finally managing to disentangle himself from his sheets and putting together a decent wash-up, he half-heartedly swept up the disarray of beer bottles and cigarette buds into the dustpan. Mildly satisfied with his efforts, he went to the balcony, hit by a wave of unfamiliar fresh air. 'So it's been that long,' he thought, amused at his disconnection with the outside world. Whipping out a fresh pack, he lit the end of his cigarette, taking in a deep drag, as if he'd rather fill his lungs with smoke than the bitter winter wind that bit at his face.
