CHAPTER 1

YOONA’S POV

          I’m so hungry so I decided to stop over at my bestfriend and I’s favourite café. This is the café that only the two of us know, so this café is very precious to us. I park my car just in front of the shop because I will not take long here I will just buy our favourite food then maybe eat them at the dorm.

          I wear my shades and scarf then was going to go out of my car when my eyes spotted something familiar. Lee Jonghyun with some unknown girl happily eating with him. I don’t know but I got furious when I saw him bringing somebody in our secret place, I mean even Lee Seung Gi oppa don’t know this place and he just brought someone here without my permission.

          I immediately went out of the car then go to them. He was happily conversing with a woman that is quiet familiar to me, I think I saw already her somewhere.

          I went near them then stand beside their table. They were a bit startled when I stand beside their table. They look at me with confusion then ask “Excuse me, who are you?” asked Jonghyun

          I smirk at him then said “I can’t believe by just a piece of scarf and shades you can’t recognize me anymore, wow I can’t believe I have a bestfriend like you”

          The girl first recognize me “Yoona sunbaenim?” the girl asked

          “Omo Yoona-ah what brings you here?” Jonghyun asked me

          Wow I can’t believe his asking me that “Well maybe because this is OUR favourite secret meeting place and I like the foods here so I thought to just drop by to buy some when my eyes caught you” I said disappointed

          He smile turns in to a grin then said “Sorry Yoong hehe, by the way this is Hyeri from Girls’ Day. You know that girl group right?” he asked

          “Omo annyeonghasseyo Yoona sunbaenim Girls’ Day Hyeri imnida, I’m deeply sorry for the late greeting” she stand then bow at me

          “Annyeonghasseyo Hyeri-ssi, I should be the one to be sorry for my rude act. It’s because of someone here that made me into that” I said

          “Yoona-ah can we talk?” Jonghyun said

          “As you can see were already talking” I said

          “Privately” he said

          “Ok no problem, nice meeting you Hyeri-ssi” I said

          “Nice meeting you too Yoona sunbaenim” she said

          Jonghyun then drag me out of the café.

          “Yoona I’m so sorry for breaking our promise it just that I forgot about it and ---“ I cut him

          “What?!!! Forgot about it?!!! Wow daebak Lee Jonghyun, I can’t believe this” I said

          “It’s because I also thought that you already brought Seung Gi hyung here so I thought that it’s ok” he said

          “Wait are you perhaps dating that girl?” I asked

          “It’s our first date today actually” he said shyly

          “You’re dating without even telling me?! I thought were best of friends or maybe I was the only one who assume that?!!” I asked him madly

          “Yoong I’m very sorry I promise I will explain to you everything hmm? Don’t be angry I will get back to you to explain to you everything that happened. For now I will work on my love life annyeong!!” he said smiling then leave

          Ahh I can’t believe this!!! So irritating!!!! Very irritating!!! I glared at them then walked heavily to my car.

          Arghh so annoying! He ignore me for that girl? It’s not even his girlfriend yet, it’s just their first date! Don’t let me see you Lee Jonghyun or I swear I’m going to beat you.

          I glared at him last before I get away from there. I lost my appetite. When I arrive at our dorm my phone suddenly rings.

          ‘Seung Gi Oppa’ the name of the caller

          I lazily answered the phone “Yoboseyo?” I said

          “Yoong I miss you, are you free now? Can we meet?” he asked

          “I’m so tired oppa I just got home from a fan meeting and I really want to sleep oppa. I’m so sorry” I said apologetically

          “Oh is that so? Then just get rest to regain your energy arasso? Don’t be too stressed, bye-bye I love you” he said

          “Bye oppa” I said then cut the line

          My bestfriend really is so great in making me angry. Aisssh after talking to Seung Gi oppa I thought my mood will brighten. So annoying!!!

           I walk lazily to our dorm.

          When I entered our dorm there is Tiffany eunni and Yuri eunni on the couch watching some TV show. Oh great! So that’s how they got to know each other. They are the host for this music show. Annoying!!!

          “Oh Yoona what’s with the face?” Tiffany eunni asked me

          “Nothing it’s just that my bestfriend is so disappointing!” I said

          “You mean bestfriend, Lee Jonghyun?” Yuri eunni asked

          I just nod.

          “Wae? What happened?” They asked me in chorus

          “He brought some girl at our secret meeting place that even Seung Gi oppa don’t know about” I said annoyed

          “Ok what’s bad about that?” Tiffany eunni asked

          “He brought some girl at OUR meeting place and dated without even telling me! I mean I always share to him about me and Seung Gi oppa and now that his the one dating he won’t even share to me anything!!!” I said

          “Maybe they just started dating so that’s why----“ I cut Yuri eunni

          “Even though, he should inform me first who is he dating so I can see if she will pass my standards” I said

          “Aren’t you kind of strict? I mean what if no one will pass your standards? Lee Jonghyun will be forever single? Or maybe instead of others it’s just you who’s going to be with him?” Tiffany eunni asked

          “Huh? I already got Seung Gi oppa so why would I be with him? His just my bestfriend” I said

          “If you’re just his bestfriend why are you acting like a possessive girlfriend?” Yuri eunni asked me

          “What? I’m not acting like a possessive girlfriend. I’m just concern about him like what bestfriends do” I said

          “Really?!!!” they teased me

          “Of course I’m just concern about him, that’s all. No feelings attached” I said

          “Did we mention about feelings?” Tiffany eunni asked me

          “Huh? I just want to clarify things so that’s why I said that” I said

          “Ok, anyways Jonghyunie is improving his hosting skills eh. Look how well he is conversing with Hyeri-ssi” Tiffany eunni said

          “Yeah his improving, wow and they look good together huh” Yuri eunni said

          I look at the TV, look good together? I don’t think so.

          “Yoona what about you? What you think about them?” they asked me

          “Should I give a comment too?” I asked

          “Of course he is your bestfriend” Yuri eunni said

          “He is improving” I said

          “What about Hyeri-ssi?” Tiffany eunni asked

          “I don’t know were not friends” I said then leave them

          “Hey Yoona were not done yet” Tiffany eunni shout at me while I’m going to my room

          “I’m tired eunni bye” I said to them

          When I get inside my room I took a bath then change into comfortable clothes. Then I lay down on my bed.

          While I was lying on the bed I got into a deep thought until I went to sleep.

 

CHAPTER 2

YOONA’S POV

          When I was lying on the bed I think of the things that happened today. I can’t explain what I felt when I saw Jonghyun talking happily with a girl. And when he left me to go back to that girl and he didn’t even explain. And when Seung Gi oppa called me, I don’t feel like talking to him and when he said that he missed me and loves me I find it so hard to reply.

          I also thought about the old times when Jonghyunie always around me when I and Seung Gi oppa are still not dating. And when he was making ways so that I can meet with oppa and when oppa and I are fighting he was the one who make us come back together again. He was always the one who make ways to make me happy. His always there whenever I need someone beside me aside my boyfriend.

          So maybe that’s why I felt that way because I’m used that his attention is always at me. It’s the first time that he ignore me for other girl. And I’m not used to it, maybe I should not meet him always anymore and just focus on Seung Gi oppa. Right! I should focus on Seung Gi oppa. But why does my heart don’t want to?

          I thought about that thing until I fell to sleep.

(THE NEXT DAY: MORNING)

          I woke up because of my phone. I answered it without looking at the caller

          “Yoboseyo?” I said

          “Did I woke you up? Hehehe peace” the caller said. Wait this sounds like---

          “What do you want Lee Jonghyun-ssi?” I asked bitterly

          “Oh? What’s with the formalities Im Yoona-ssi?” he teased me

          “Ok Lee Jonghyun-ssi if you don’t have anything to say I still want to sleep” I said

          “Ouch is that how you treat your bestfriend?” he asked like his hurt

          “Shouldn’t I be the one to say that?” I said angrily

          “Ok, ok, I’m sorry ok? This chingu of yours is very sorry for ignoring his princess. This Knight in shining armour is very sorry for taking for granted his princess.” He said sweetly

          “You mean you’re my Knight in shining armour? Eww my Knight in shining armour is Lee Seung Gi oppa and not Lee Jonghyun” I said

          “His your Prince Charming and I’m your Knight in shining armour.” He said

          I grin “Is that so?” I asked him

          “Yes so to get back to the princess the Knight would like to asked if his princess is free tonight?” he said

          “Hmmm let’s see uhmm is he going to tell everything to the princess tonight what happened yesterday?” I asked

          “Hmm his going to think about it” he said

          “If that’s the case she can’t come” I said then grins evilly

          “Ok the Knight will say everything about yesterday, so are you free tonight?” he asked

          “Pick me up at seven at my shooting place. Don’t be late or the princess will let you do something you will regret” I said then giggle

          “Yes my lady, as you wished” he said

          “I thought I’m your princess why did you call me lady?” I asked

          “Oh I forgot, right, you’re not a lady hahahaha” he said

          “Aisshh Lee Jonghyun!! The princess can’t come” I said

          “Keure, Keure!! Just kidding hehehe peace” he said

          “Whatever!!! Bye!!” I said annoyed

          “Wait, wait” he said

          “What?” I asked

          “Don’t forget to smile always, remember that your Knight in shining armour don’t like to see his princess to frown even if whatever her face is, she’s still pretty” he said

          “I know right” I said

          “Hehehe of course you knew hehehe bye-bye” he said

          “Bye see you tonight” I said

          “See you tonight” he said then he cut the line

          When he cut the line, I’m still grinning. I took a bath then change then get out of my room.

          “Oh Yoona, something good happened?” Sunny eunni asked me

          “Ne? Nothing eunni” I said

          Then suddenly Yuri eunni went out of our room. “She’s happy because her Knight in shining armour invite her for dinner” Yuri eunni said

          “Oh so Seung Gi oppa invite you for dinner” Sunny eunni asked

          “Ei not really” I doubted if I should tell them

          “What do you mean?”

          “It’s not Seung Gi oppa” I said

          “You mean you’re dating other men than Seung Gi oppa?” asked her

          “Huh? No of course, I’m meeting Jonghyunie” I said

          “Lee Jonghyun? Then why are grinning like that?” she asked

          “Like what?” I asked

          “Like you’ve won in the Lotto” she said

          “Nothing eunni”

          “Wait! Lee Jonghyun is your Knight in shining armour?” she asked shocked

          “His the one who said that, and when I think about it. It fits him well” I said

          “What about Seung Gi oppa?”

          “He said that Seung Gi oppa is my prince charming and his my knight in shining armour” I said

          “Yoona-ah are you falling for Jonghyunie?!” she asked. Right now they are all facing me curiosity can be seen on their faces

          “What are you talking about? Jonghyun is just my bestfriend and I lov--- already have Seung Gi oppa as my boyfriend.” I said

          “Guys did you all forget that we still have a schedule? Come on were late already, let’s go” Taeyeon eunni said

          ‘Thanks eunni’ I mouthed the words to Taeyeon eunni

          After that, we all went to our individual schedules.

(FILMING SET: 6:47 PM)

          “Cut!” the director said

          “Very good Yoona! Ok that’s it for today. Let’s pack up” he said

          I bow at the staff while going to our van. It’s so tiring, I want to sleep already.

          I went in our van then my P.A gave me my cellphone. It has 1 message from Seung Gi oppa. So I open it.

From: Seung Gi Oppa

          Yoona what time is your shooting gonna end? Let’s have dinner, I’m going to pick you up there, ok J

To: Seung Gi Oppa

          Ok oppa, we just finish our filming today. I will wait here J

From: Seung Gi Oppa

          Really? Ok I’m on my way there now, I love you

          I read his last message. These days when he tell me things like I love or I miss you, I find it so hard to reply. While I was staring at the words ‘I love you’ I suddenly remember that I already agreed on meeting Jongie tonight. Aisshh I forgot about that, what to do?!!

          I should cancel meeting Seung Gi oppa, but his already going here and he might be disappointed. Aishh I should call Jongie to cancel our dinner tonight. He might still be in his agency right now.

          I get out of our van then called Jongie.

CALLING BURNING JONGHYUNIE……..

          “Yoboseyo? Yoona-yah?”

          “Jongie-ah I can’t come tonight, I forgot that we agreed to have dinner tonight then Seung Gi oppa invited me for dinner and I already said yes. Is it ok for you if we move our dinner tomorrow?” I said

          There is a long silence before he answered.

          “Is that so? Its ok for me I actually still here in our agency and then there’s a sudden schedule came up so I also thought of calling you to reschedule our dinner. It’s a good thing you also has an appointment tonight or I don’t know what will happen to me hhahahah” he said but I can sense something in the way he said that

          “Oh really? Thank Goodness!! So tomorrow then?” I asked

          “Tomorrow? Ah I don’t think I can come tomorrow. You see I invited Hyeri for dinner tomorrow and I can’t just cancel it” he said

          Hyeri again?!!! “Ok how about the day after that?” I said annoyed

          “How about this Saturday? You see we will go to Japan the day after tomorrow for our concert” he said

          It’s so long, I said to myself….. “Ok then, this time no backing outs” I said

          “Yes ma’am!” he said

          I chuckled then said goodbye. Then he hung up. I was going to enter our van again when I notice a very familiar back of a person not too far from me. The person was like rubbing his eyes like he is crying. Then he entered his car then leave the area. I was in deep thought when Seung Gi oppa called me.

          “Yoona-yah!” he shout

          I look at the other direction then see him waving at me. I forced a smile then also wave at him.

          “Oppa!” I said

          Then he walked near me and kiss my cheeks. When he did that I was kind of startled.

          “Are you still tired? You want to cancel our dinner tonight? It’s ok for me” he said smiling

          “Anniyo oppa, I already agreed on our dinner tonight. How can I cancel it and I rejected you yesterday, I’m so sorry oppa” I said then smiled

          “Aigoo it’s ok, as long as my girlfriend does not look like a zombie. So kaja?” he said

          “Let’s go” I said

          But before we leave I took a last glance at the area where I saw that very familiar back like I always see it every day.

JONGHYUN’S POV

          I was already in Yoona’s filming set when she called me. I’m so excited, it’s like were dating hehehe even though she’s already dating Seung Gi hyung.

          I answered my phone and act like I did not expect her call

          “Yoboseyo? Yoona-yah?” I said

          “Jongie-ah I can’t come tonight, I forgot that we agreed to have dinner tonight then Seung Gi oppa invited me for dinner and I already said yes. Is it ok for you if we move our dinner tomorrow?” she said

          When she said that I don’t know how to react. It’s like she really showed me how unimportant I am for her. I was hurt even though I don’t have the right. I’m just her friend anyway.

          There is a long silence before I answered.

          “Is that so? Its ok for me I actually still here in our agency and then there’s a sudden schedule came up so I also thought of calling you to reschedule our dinner. It’s a good thing you also has an appointment tonight or I don’t know what will happen to me hhahahah” I said a little bit bitter

          “Oh really? Thank Goodness!! So tomorrow then?” she asked

          I don’t think I can face her tomorrow even though I’m free tomorrow. I think I should be a little bit distant to her so I lied.

          “Tomorrow? Ah I don’t think I can come tomorrow. You see I invited Hyeri for dinner tomorrow and I can’t just cancel it” I said

          “Ok how about the day after that?” she said after a short silence

          “How about this Saturday? You see we will go to Japan the day after tomorrow for our concert” I said, well in that part that was the truth. I’m free tomorrow but not the day after tomorrow and the next day after that.

          She paused then said “Ok then, this time no backing outs”

          “Yes ma’am!” I said trying to act like it’s no big deal

          After that she said goodbye then I hung up. I took a last glance at her then went to my car while rubbing my eyes preventing the tears that can fall anytime soon. After that I leave the set.

 

CHAPTER 3

YOONA’S POV

          Seung Gi oppa take me home until our dorm door. Then suddenly the door swung open revealing Tiffany unnie and Seohyun.

          “Omo Yoona/unnie, omo annyeonghasseyo Seung Gi oppa” they said

          “Annyeonghasseyo, I’m very sorry for going to your dorm at this hour” he said

          “Anniyo oppa, actually were just going somewhere.” They said

          “Oh ok I’m going now, annyeong!” he said smiling then leave

          When I look back at them they are staring at me like I should explain something.

          “What?” I asked

          “Didn’t you said that you have a dinner with Jonghyunie and not with Seung Gi oppa so what happened?” they asked

          “Jonghyunie said that there’s a schedule that came up so he said to reschedule our dinner” I said

          “Mwohh? But Yonghwa oppa just called me and said that they are just in their dorm, he even said that Jonghyun leave early from their practice and then came back not long after that”

          “What? But ---- I should call him” I leave them then went to my room.

NO ONE’S POV

          “Is Yoona unnie mad?” Seuhyun asked Tiffany

          “I don’t know, but I hope whatever it is, it will become clear to her” Tiffany replied

          “Deh, I hope too” Seohyun said

YOONA’S POV

          Why is he not picking up, I’ve been calling him for almost an hour already. Aishhh.

TO: BURNING JONGHYUNIE

          Why aren’t you picking up? Pick up your phone or I will go to your dorm right now.

          I sent him that message. Then 3 minutes later he replied.

FROM: BURNING JONGHYUNIE

          Wae? What’s the problem?

          I immediately call him again, when he replied.

          “Yobosseyo? Yoona, problem?” he asked

          “Why did you lie?” I asked him

          “What lie? I can’t understand y—“ I cut him

          “Why did you said that you have a schedule when in fact you’re so free before?” I said

          There was a long silence before he answer.

          “I was hurt” when he said that I was very shocked

          “Wha—wh---what?” I asked

          “Right, ofcourse that would be your answer” he said

          “Jongie I can’t understand you!” I yelled at him

          “hahahahahaha I got you hahahahh sorry Yoona I was just practicing my line for my appearance in a drama hhahahahhah” he said

          “What? You’re just fooling me? Aishh LEE JONGHYUN I HATE YOU!!!” I was totally nervous when he said that

          “hahaha oh right mianhe hehehehe, about lying to you hehehe how can I disturb your date. Ofcourse you would want to be with your boyfriend than your bestfriend even though they’re both BF hahaha” he said

          “Aishh! You are really annoying! Right, I remember you said that you have a date tomorrow, right?” I asked

          “Hmm about that hahaha, I just don’t want to see you tomorrow hehehe” he said

          “What?!!! You don’t want to see me?!!! Huh?” I said angrily

          “Hey I don’t mean it that way, I mean I’m afraid what will you asked me hehehhe” he said

          “Is that so? So meet me tomorrow then, pick me up at my dorm at 8 pm. That’s an order!” I said

          “What? Shirooo! I don’t want to” he said

          “Pick me up or I will never talk to you!” I threatened him

          “Bwohhh? Ok, ok I will be there at 8. Remember if you will cancel this dinner again, I will be the one that will not talk to you” he said

          “Ok, ok tomorrow then, don’t be late. Bye!!” after that I immediately hung up

          I’m glad his not mad. I will never forgive myself if I lose Jongie.

JONGHYUN’S POV

          After she hung up. A tear fell from my eyes.

          Yeah that’s right I will remain bestfriend to her and nothing else.      

          Suddenly my phone beep.

FROM: HYERI

          Jonghyun-ssi are you free tomorrow afternoon?

TO: HYERI

          Deh, I’m free in the afternoon but not until evening

          Can we meet?

TO: HYERI

          Sure, what time?

FROM: HYERI

          Perhaps 4 pm?

TO: HYERI

          Sure, where will I pick you up?

FROM: HYERI

          Dorm, is that ok?

TO: HYERI

          Sure, no problem J

FROM: HYERI

          See you tomorrow then.

TO: HYERI

          See you J

          Right, I also need to find my match. After that I smiled.

YOONA’S POV

          ‘What’s taking him so long’ I thought while waiting for him at the dorm.

          Aissh, I will surely beat him if he will be late for another 10 min----. I was cut at my thought when suddenly my phone beeps.

          I’m already at the parking area, same place. Should I pick you there or I will wait here?
