You laughed.

Hongbin smacked the table laughing harder then you.

Jaehwan just sat next to you with an annoyed look.

You three were on your friendly 'date'. Jaehwan never really wanted to go, but you'd always drag him along.

As the laughing died down, Jaehwan quickly changed the subject.

"Your school prom is in a couple months, right?" He asked you.

You nodded.

You were still a junior in high school.

Hongbin was in his second year of college while Jaehwan was in his third.

"Who are you going to take?" Hongbin questioned.

You shrugged, "I'm thinking about just going alone. I don't like anyone at my school. You guys are invited though."

Hongbin chuckled, "How about I take you then?"

You smiled and laughed.

The thought of him being serious never crossed your mind.

You two were friends and nothing more.

"Sure."

You stared at the text with shaky hands.

'What color dress are you going to wear? I want to match my outfit to yours.'

You blinked rapidly.

"Is he..."

You placed your phone on the bed and sat there.

You were in shock.

"Is this platonic or does he actually want to be my date to prom?"

The thought of not knowing really ed with you.

Your fingers gripped your hair out of frustration.
