RECAP: Key’s eyes widened. She knew that today was his birthday. He grinned, nodded, and said goodbye once again.

By the time Key reached the house, he was panting and exhausted. He looked at his watch and sighed in relief. 7:51 PM. He went inside and took a look around. The house was totally dark, except for the living room and the kitchen. He dropped off his snacks and walked towards the kitchen. As soon as he got there, everyone went towards him.

“Key!”

“Yah, Kibum!”

“Key-sshi! I thought that you weren’t gonna make it!”

Everyone was making a fuss and talking at the same time, so Key reassured them with a smile. Just as he was about to ask where the presents and food were all at, they heard the front door open.

Everyone gasped and hid quickly. It was a good thing that the kitchen was fairly big. Key decided to hide with Taemin and Eunhyuk under the table, which was fortunately covered.

Just as Key heard Siwon say, “Where is everybody? Did I get the wrong address?” everyone finally went out and yelled “Congratulations!”

Key was the last one to get out, smiling as he went over to Siwon. Siwon saw him and smiled.

“Congratulations, hyung. I wish you all the best.”

“Ahh, Key-sshi. Thank you.”

Everyone was laughing and talking until Siwon whined that he was hungry. Key volunteered to getthe cake from the living room. He decided that since he didn’t do anything to help with the decorations, he might as well do this one thing.

The living room was bigger than the kitchen, with three couches and two coffee tables at the center. Key saw one cake on each table, as well as spaghetti, bulgogi, and mushroom soup. There was also punch. As he saw how each food was positioned, he decided that he didn’t want to ruin the appearance. It looked good enough to be put in a magazine. Key decided to just call the others to the living room instead.
