RECAP: They... They forgot about my birthday. I can’t believe I even expected anything. I can’t really blame them for trying to plan a surprise party for Siwon hyung, but... Not one of them even remembered...

Key closed his eyes. But he wasn’t able to prevent it... A teardrop slid down his cheek. After a short while, he finally fell asleep, with tears still in his eyes.

Key woke up and rubbed his eyes, which were now a bit sore. He ignored it and looked at the clock. 3:24 PM. His eyes widened. He slept for at least 6 hours. Was he that depressed when everyone forgot his birthday? Even the other groups hadn’t greeted him.

He decided to stop sulking and face the reality that everyone forgot his birthday, except his parents who called last night. He was thankful for his mom and dad... but it wasn’t enough. It might sound selfish, but it’s the truth. But when it was the others who had their birthdays, he was even the first one to call and greet them. But when it was his birthday, everyone forgets? How... How mean.

Key took a quick shower and dressed in a plain shirt and black skinny jeans. He decided to go outside and get some fresh air and just come back when Siwon hyung was about to arrive. He went downstairs and was awed by the decorations. They were... perfect. Every part of their dorm was decorated.

Key walked around and finally saw the SNSD and Super Junior members, who were all helping. He saw Onew and approached him. Onew saw him and smiled widely.

“Kibum-ah! Finally, you are awake! So, what do you think of the place? It’s nice, huh? Wait, are you okay now?”

Key smiled, more naturally this time, and patted one arm on Onew’s shoulder.

“I’m fine, hyung. Thanks for worrying about me. The place looks awesome. You guys did a good job. I’m sorry if I was no help to you guys at all.”

“It’s okay, Kibum. You were feeling sick, we understand. We will never force you into something that would be dangerous to your health in any way.”

Key, completely forgetting his anger and disappointment, smiled wider and hugged Onew... his hyung that always took care of him. So what if he forgot about his birthday? From all the things that Onew did for him in the past up to now was enough as a present. The same goes to Minho, Jonghyun, and Taemin.

“Thank you, hyung. You’re always taking care of me. For that, I am very lucky and fortunate to have you as an older brother.”
