Amor Fati / Memento Mori
Description
As perfect as it may all seem on the surface, there're layers of secrets buried beneath the grand debut of YG's latest boy group, iKon. What may appear to be flawless and admirable on your computer screen has an older history to it. And what the boys thought have been hidden in the past, will continue to haunt them.
Foreword
[Amor fati] is a Latin phrase which loosely translates to "love of fate" or "love of one's fate", used to describe having an attitude of accepting all events, this acceptance seen to be along the lines of what Nietzsche meant by the concept of 'eternal recurrence' — a sense of contentment with one's life and an acceptance of it, such that one could live exactly the same life, in all its minute details, over and over for all eternity. It's sister phrase, [Memento mori], translates to something along the lines of "remember death" or "remember that you have to die", used to remind people of their mortality and the shortness and fragility of human life.

The foundation of a house requires concrete, but no amount of it can build a home. And so he wandered without destination for years, his presence fading by the second as he continued unnoticed. But when home came to him in the most unexpected form, he didn't know the way to embrace it without staining its walls with his depressing past.

Don't project perfection on one thinking it is a compliment, as it is more stress than joy for a perfectionist to be recognized as one. Similarly, love came to him in the form of a burden, which he took in as a chore as he found the need to live up to the expectations of those who loved him.

The origin of monstrosity was never the man, but the mind itself which twisted reality and forced men into believing that deceiving was the right way of living. He hated how he excelled in feigning and he hated how he could never seem to let the right words flow out of his lips. But he had his role to play, his share of lying to do in order to stand tall as iKon's leader.
