The Reason

Description

Prologue

Being an angel is not easy. But being a fallen angel with ripped off wings is utter agony.

Now, I need my wings back, heaven is my home and I can't fathom how humans live in this filthy world.
I have always hated humans. The fact that they lavishly ignore God's signs, the way they push other people around, everything they do, I just can't stand them.
This growing hatred was probably one of the reasons I got kicked out of heaven, why I lost my flowering white wings.
Now, I'm wandering around this vast green, oh, blackish land, with the creatures I hate the most, humans.
Hard as I can say, only a human can help me, moreover, a part human.
I am an angel, well, not really anymore. But I am going to get my wings back, I will.
And I need to find that necklace, no matter what hands stop me from getting it. That necklace is my only chance.
That heart, it will help me turn back time, back to the moment they savagely ripped my wings off.
I will become an angel again. I won't be thrown away to this piece of rubbish.
I won't let anyone rip my precious wings again. But first I need to practice being a recluse.
I am not used to being alone, but I need to try.
Until I find that benevolent heart necklace, I'm stuck here on Earth.

"But there's another way," one of my fellow angels said before I went to trial.
I didn't pay attention, all throughout my stay here in heaven, I never caught a glimpse of whatever that alternative was.
"Have you heard of the sacred book of Adriel?" I sprung my head towards him, taking interest on whatever he said.
"That's forbidden," I responded through my gritted teeth.
"Well, if you want to avoid that trial, you should check it out. You know where to find it," he left me in awe.

That's where it all started.
A sin, a forbidden book, and the ripping trial.

I am the angel of mysteries, silence and death.

And I lost my wings, it left a massive mark on my back.
It brushes me with prickling pain as Cheshvan approaches.
And I've been here for 120 years, still looking for the heart necklace.
Wishing for time to turn back.

But for now, let me find that Nephilim.
She will help me, and if she refuses, I will make her.

+ +

All I can here are my screams. I can feel sweat trickling from my forehead, dropping slowly on the thin blanket. I can't fathom my breathing, it goes on quickly whilst my hands are gravely shaking. I dreamed of the same thing again. Someone's wings being ripped off. Flashes of pain surging towards my brain, passages of unknown languages being spoken inside my head. What the hell is a Nephilim? I keep on hearing that word as I journey through that eerie nightmare. A flash of light caused me to immediately shield my eyes with my shivering hands. I thought I became blind, after that scourging light. But then I heard a deep voice coming from the corner of my room.

"Hello there, Nephilim."

Then, my life never became the same again.

Foreword

Hello there everyone! Another try for a fanfic maybe? Everything that will happen here is purely fictional, I only based some information from somewhere but yeah, you get my point lol. Some words like nephilim, you can find the definition online, I gathered some information regarding fallen angels, angels and etc online but I modified some of it, let's still use our imagination here. The forbidden book of Adriel is fictional, of course. Anyway, please subscribe. I hope you'll be patient with the updates since, sighs, I will pretty much be busy starting Monday and I still don't have a plot outline for this. Screw me. You'll know who Adriel is soon.
