Jinki is never one to judge. He is the type to know the person first before judging what he or she is like. But he doesn't know why it all changed when he met a very weird than the word itself guy.

 

Jinki isn't his friend, the guy isn't even related to him. Hell! He doesn't even know the guy. But what catches his attention is the way how the weird guy dress himself. With his ripped jeans, too big shirt and a necklace that is too bright to look at. Pretty normal for others but that's not all. What bothers Jinki is the red and dragon printed bandana that he put on his head.

 

Jinki checked the fashion magazine later that night to see if the current trend changed already. No. Just to make sure, he asked his bestfriend Kim Kibum who is well-informed with the latest fashion trends.

 

"Bummie-yah." Jinki calls out.

 

Key look up from his phone to Jinki. "Yes?"

 

"Is ripped jeans, loose shirt that is too big and a bandana in, nowadays?" Jinki ask, frowning in inquiry.

 

"Ripped jeans, yes. Loose shirt that is too big, depends on the wearer. If they're cute then its good. but a bandana? In what age are we in? 70s? Who would wear a bandana?" Key litany. "Only those who cure supernatural diseases and gives out potions." 

 

Jinki nods in understanding. "I see. Thanks!" And off he went to do his business.

 

Jinki forgot that weird guy already and focused on important matters that needs to do. But, after a week, Jinki encounter some bad guy. Guys who wears leather jackets, tight jeans that hiugs their skinny legs. And hairs that is randomly arranged with a wax.

 

"Hey! What are you doing in my property?" The guy ask. 

 

Jinki frown. "Sorry?" 

 

He seriously can't catch whatever this guy is talking. Jinki decided to just take the shortcut to his apartment since he is too tired to walk home and the last bus left the minute he arrived at the station and the trains are fully packed. Talk about bad luck.

 

"Are you deaf or what?" The guy ask again, walking towards Jinki.

 

Jinki backs away in reflex. Who wouldn't? A scary stranger is walking to him.

 

"I-I'm sorry. I just - I just want to go home and this route is a shortcut to my house." Jinki stutter. 

 

The guy smirk. "Really? You want to get through this way?" He ask.

 

 

Jinki nods. "I-if I could just." He said.

 

The guy suddenly burst out laughing, making his friends do the same. Jinki gulp. He doesn't have any idea what to do now. He is scared as !

 

"I don't know. Maybe I'll do, if you do me a favor." The guy answer, inching towards Jinki.

 

Jinki gulp. "W-what kind of favor? If its money, I'm sorry but I'm just an average guy and I still live with my parents." He lied.

 

Jinki isn't just an average guy. He owns a company that earns half a million won every month and he certainly doesn't live with his parents but with his bestfriend Kibum. His parents are traveling abroad having the fun of their life. 

 

It is also true that Jinki could've buy his own car than wait for the bus or walk through shortcuts just to go home but, then Jinki realized that buying a car and drive it is a kind of hassle that he don't want to experience. Besides, Jinki hates learning to drive.

 

"Don't worry baby." The guy said making Jinki frown because of the endearment. He didn't know when did he became the guy's "baby". The guy stare at Jinki from head to toe. "Just let me experience pure pleasure." He said, his lips disgustedly.

 

And, that made Jinki's jaw drop. What is this guy thinking? Jinki isn't a hooker. Does he think Jinki just do with a stranger? Is this guy on drugs? The answer? Probably.

 

"I'm sorry but I really have to go." Jink said, walking past the guy. But unfortunately, the guy is persistent as he grab Jinki's arm, keeping him in place. "Please let go of me." He pleads.

 

"Uh... uh... baby. You need to do as I say before you can pass." The guy said smirking.

 

Cold sweats run down his back. He is scared. This guy is asking him for . Even if Jinki is gay he isn't going to be interested in him. Damn! Jinki is disgusted of him. The guy is reeks in alcohol and cigarettes.

 

"I'm sorry, but I really need to go!" He said, struggling.

 

The guy just tighten his hold anmd forced Jinki into kissing him. Of course, Jinki tried to fight back. Jinki is allergic to alcohol and cigarettes that he can't stand being near them. And this guy reeks with both!

 

"Yah! What do you think you're doing?" 

 

Jinki sigh in relief hearing that voice. He is glad someone came to help. 

 

"Go away dude! I'm just having fun with my lover, so if you don't mind?" The guy said, still holding Jinki by the shoulders.

 

Jinki immediately shook his head. 

 

The guy tilt his head contemplating on helping Jinki or leave. Fortunately, he did the first.

 

"I'm sorry but, I advice you to get your hands off of him." The guy who now Jinki refers to as savior said.

 

Truth is, Jinki couldn't really make out the guy's features. The referred savior is staying on the dark side. Jinki can just see the guy's actions.

 

"And why is that? I told you, he's my lover right? So get lost." The guy insist. 

 

"I doubt it." Jinki's savior said, stepping out the dark and coming into the light.

 

Jinki's eyes bulge out of its socket, as if he just saw an alien that landed its ship in front of him. What causes Jinki's reaction is his savior. The guy is the very same guy that Jinki calls weird. The man with a bandana.

 

The guy who is still holding Jinki's shoulder burst out laughing like a clown just did a trick. "Yo dude! What's with the get up? Are we in retro?" He said.

 

"Not even retro fashion can equal that Taec." One of the guy's friend said.

 

Jinki bit his bottom lip. In all honesty, Jinki does think the guy's clothes are ridiculous. Like the word fashion and coordination isn't even included in his vocabulary. The guy is wearing baggy pants, still those too loose shirt, a necklace that those weird rappers wear and his signature bandana. The guy is a sight you can't bear to see if you're like Key. A fashion critique.

 

"Don't mind me outfit you little cowards. That little group of yours is nothing compared to mine. So, don't tell me to get lost. Why don't you guys scram." The bandana guy said.

 

"Scram? Are you kidding me? Which group are in?" The guy ask.

 

"That's none of your business. So let him go before my friend Kyuhyun gets here." He said.

 

Jinki exchange his looks between the bandana guy and the wax guy. He decided to call the guy wax guy because his hair is styled with wax and Jinki forgot his name.

 

"Kyuhyun?" Jinki is startled to hear horror in the guy's voice. He is sure he didn't imagine the shake in it.

 

"Yeah, so get lost!" Bandana guy hiss. 

 

That effectively scare the guy. 

 

Once the coast is clear, bandana guy walks towards Jinki who didn't move an inch. Still in his daze thoughts. Because of that, he failed to catch what the guy said.

 

"Sorry?" Jinki said, snapping out of his thoughts. 

 

Bandana guy sigh. "I said, are you alright? Did that guy hurt you?" He ask.

 

Jinki blinks. Now that he can finally focus to it. Bandana guy's voice is quite soft. And Jinki didn't realize he doze off again.

 

"Hey, are you okay?" Bandana guy ask.

 

Jinki blink again. "Oh! Y-yeah. I am. Thanks for helping me." He said.

 

Bandana guy just stare at him. Jinki feels uncomfortable to be stared at like that. He doesn't want to be stared like he is some sort of specimen. 

 

"I can somehow understand why those guys tried to molest you." Bandana guy said.

 

Jinki frown. "Huh?" 

 

"You look like a girl and is quite a turn on." Bandana guy continue.

 

Jinki is dumbfounded. Please don't tell him that he is about to be molested once again. More importantly, by the guy who saved him. That's just plain creepy.

 

Jinki walks back when bandana guy came closer to him.

 

Bandana guy chuckles. "Hey, don't be scared. I'm not going to hurt you. I'm not going to molest someone who doesn't like me. I'm not a okay." He said. "I'm just going to look at your arm since I saw how that guy grabbed you. He's kind a rough." Bandana guy said worriedly.

 

Jinki almost smile hearing that. Maybe the guy isn't as bad as he appears to be. Maybe its just the fashion who is bad but not the guy.

 

"No, I'm okay. Thanks." Jinki answer.

 

Bandana guy nods. "I also know that you're not that kind of guy who would go out with suspicious looking guys. Atleast until you're wooed." He said. 

 

Jinki look at bandana guy with startled expression. He don't know what the guy means.

 

"I always notice you on the train station you know. I always notice you until I got intrigued. Let's just say I did a bit of a research about you." Bandana guy said. 

 

So Jinki isn't the only one who have that kind of feelings. The only difference is that Jinki didn't research about the guy. 

 

"I see." Jinki said. "I am really thankful that you saved me but I think I should go ahead." 

 

Bandana guy nods. "Okay. See you next time... Jinki." Then he left.

 

Jinki is startle to hear that. How come bandana guy know-- oh right, the guy said that he researched about Jinki a bit because he is intrigued.But how bit is bit? 

 

Jinki sigh in the end.

"Well, whatever that guy said, its true anyway." Key said, as soon as Jinki finished narrating the whole story to him. 

 

"But Key, do I really look like a girl?" Jinki ask, examining his face in the mirror.

 

"Yeah. And so does Taemin. It's in your blood I guess." Key answer. 

 

"Is that suppose to be a compliment?" Jinki ask. 

 

"I guess. Depends on how you take it." Key said, flipping the pages of his magazine.

 

Then, Jinki took a seat beside Key. "But you know what's weird? Even if he dress ridiculously he still look attractive." He said.

 

Key turn to him. "How ridiculous is ridiculously?" 

 

"So ridiculous." Jinki said. "He wear this bandana that is so weird with its red ragon printed on it. It might look cool to others but it doesn't really suit him." 

 

Then, Key remembered the talk he had with Jinki before. "A fashion suicide?" 

 

"Really!" Jinki answer. "If you think my fashion is hopeless then you'll think that his doesn't stand a chance." 

 

"So?" Key ask.

 

Jinki frown at him.

 

"C'mon hyung. What is the purpose of this talk?" Key ask. "You just suddenly bage in here and talk about this weird friend of yours about what exactly?"

 

"He isn't my friend. i don't even know him." Jinki answer.

 

"Gives you more reason to answer my question." Key said. "On normal occassions, you'll just throw the topic of some strangers in your head because you say they're not important. So, why are we talking about this guy again?"

 

Jinki blink. "I don't know. I'm just curious I guess." 

 

Key just look at him in disbelief.

The next day, Jinki is in the last train, on his way home after work. He is reading a book about a guy who fell in love with a girl who is in the verge of dying. He likes to read about tragic ending stories. He is so engrossed in his book that he didn't manage to feel the presence next to him.

 

"Jinki." 

 

He almost jump out of his seat hearing that voice. He turn to it and see the bandana guy looking at him with an amused look. 

 

"Oh! Its you." Jinki said.

 

The guy smile. "I told you we will meet again." He said. "So, what are you reading Jinki?"

 

Jinki frown. "Isn't it unfair that you now my name but I don't have any idea on who you are?" 

 

Bandana guy smile. "I'm Jonghyun. Fair enough?" He said. 

 

Jinki nods.

 

"So, care to answer my question?" Jonghyun ask, when Jinki brought his attention back to his book.

 

"Its a novel about a guy who fell in love with a girl who is about to die." Jinki answer, smiling towards his book.

 

Jonghyun nods and reain silent.

 

Jinki side galnced Jonghyun. The guy is now wearing a tight jeans, the familiar loose shirt, the bling bling and importantly, the dragon printed red bandana.

 

"Jonghyun, can I ask you something?" Jinki ask, putting aside his book.

 

"What is it?" Jonghyun responds.

 

"You see, the other night." Jinki swallow. "I've been curious about as to why the wax guy got scared when you mentioned Kyuhyun?" 

 

Jonghyun his lower lip. "Kyuhyun is a member of the Suju Gang." 

 

Jinki frown. "Suju Gang? I've never heard of it. Are they a boy group?" 

 

Jonghyun chuckle. "No, they're not Jinki. Suju Gang is one of the most influencial mafia organization in the whole Korea. The word Suju Gang is short for Super Junior Gang." He informs.

 

Jinki's eyes widen after hearing that. "So you mean... You're part of that gang? You're a gangster too?!" He exclaim.

 

"Sssshhh!" Jonghyun gesture Jinki to tone down his voice.

 

Jinki place his palm on his mouth to control his voice. "Oops! Sorry." 

 

Jonghyun smile and lean on his seat. "I don't think that gangster is the right word to describe me. And no, I'm not part of the Suju Gang. I'm just acquainted with them." He said, then turn to Jinki. "I have my own organiation. It's called Shinee organization." 

 

Jinki's eyes widen once again. "You... You..."

 

"Yeah. And I'm the leader of the Shinee org." Jonghyun said proudly.

 

Jinki is speechless. Well, who wouldn't be? Mafia Groups are very much hidden in the society's eyes. They are people who everyone considered as dangerous. and there he is talking with a mafia guy. Not to metion a leader.

 

Jonghyun noticed the look on Jinki's face. He look scared. "What's wrong 

Jinki? Are you scared of me now?" He ask.

 

Jinki snap of his reverie. "A-ah... not really. I'm just surprised because mafias aren't really trustworthy nowadays." He said, nodding.

 

Jonghyun smile. "Don't worry Jinki, I can assure you that I'm very much harmless to those who are nice to me." 

 

Jinki nods. He certainly think that he can trust Jonghyun. After all, the guy did saved him last night.

 

Then, Jinki inhales deeply. Gathering enough courage to ask whatever is bothering him to Jonghyun.

 

"Uhm... J-jonghyun...?" Jinki started.

 

Jonghyun turn to him. "Hmm?" He hums.

 

"Uhm... There is one more thing I really wanted to ask you ever since." Jinki said. Jonghyun nods slowly. "But! But... I think this will certainly offend you."

 

Jonghyun chuckles. "Just tell me Jinki. How will I know if its offending when you're beating around the bush." 

 

Jinki bit his lower lip and look up to Jonghyun's head where a red dragon printed bandana can seen. He points to it. "That..." He started. "That red bandana. What does it mean?"

 

Jonghyun touch his bandana. "Oh this?" He said. "This actually means nothing." He answer.

 

"Then why are you wearing that?" Jinki ask. 

 

"Because I want to look like a mafia to everyone." He reason. "Does it work?" He add smiling.

 

Jinki shake his head slowly. He doesn't know how to tell Jonghyun that the bandana made him look like a retro guy who knows nothing about fashion because seriously the bandana is useless.

 

"Actually Jonghyun... That bandana..." He bit his bottom lip. Can he even say it?

 

"Is making me ridiculous?" Jonghyun continue for Jinki. 

 

Jinki look down. Yeah, that's what he is going to say.

 

Jonghyun burst out laughing that startled Jinki. "J-jonghyun?"

 

"Don't worry Jinki, I know what people thinks about me." He said. "To be honest, this baggy pants, loose shirts, hideously big blingbling and dragon printed bandana aren't my thing." 

 

Jinki frown. He is confused. If Jonghyun don't even like that style, why is he even wearing it? Isn't that a waste of time?

 

Jonghyun sigh in Jinki's confusion. "Actually Jinki, I started wearing this because I wanted you to notice me." He suddenly said staring out the train.

 

Jinki blink at him. What did Jonghyun said? He just started wearing that because of what? Him? Why?

 

"I told you that I always notice you but don't notice me. And I really wanted your attention. I don't know, I just find you very interesting and eye catching." He said, still not looking at Jinki. "I guess it worked..."

 

Jinki is speechless. Jonghyun just confessed to him right? Those count as a confession right? 

 

Jonghyun notice that Jinki's been quiet for a while. he doesn't really plan on confessing this early. He actually plans on befriending him first before spilling the beans to him. But Jinki asked him that and he just blurted out everything. He hope he didn't ruin eveything.

 

"Jinki-"

 

Jonghyun stopped in his words when the train came into a halt making Jinki stand up. Its his stop.

 

"I'm going ahead." Jinki said, making his way out along with the crowd, eager to go home. 

 

Jonghyun sigh. He did ruin everything.

"You're pathetic." 

 

That's thre first thing that Jinki heard from Key after he narrates everything to the latter. 

 

"Why so?" He ask.

 

"The guy just confessed to you and yet you just walked away. That's very much equal to being pathetic and a coward." Key said rolling his eyes. 

 

"But I don't know what to say to him! Things happened so fast. Besides, I barely know him!" Jinki reason. 

 

That's right. He just met Jonghyun last night and the next thing he knew, the guy confessed to him. Yeah, that's real fast.

 

"You barely know him but he knows a lot of things about you." Key said. 

"And still, if you don't like him, you should've rejected him."

 

"But I can't and I don't know why." Jinki said.

 

"Accept him then." 

 

Key roll his eyes when Jinki look at him in disbelief.

 

"You know what Jinki, your answer is down ontu two decisions. Its either you like him or not. There is no more in between. I believe you're not dumb so better find it out and answer that mafia guy who have a very ridiulous and weird way of getting your attention." Key said, going back to his magazine.

 

Jinki remain silent.

For the whole week, Jinki avoids riding the train or walking. He started riding the taxi which he don't normally do, just to avaoid Jonghyun. But tonight, something inside him said that avoiding Jonghyun made no good. He just became even more frustrated.

 

Earlier that week, Jinki finally realized his feelings for the guy. He like Jonghyun by now that's why he didn't reject him no matter how fast the situation is. He just doesn't know how to face the guy. But now, he wants to see Jonghyun.

 

That's why Jinki finds himself walking dow the road. He isn't aware of his surroundings that he only got back when he felt someone bump into him. Or its the other way around.

 

"Sorry..." He absentmindedly said before started walking ahead.

 

Before he can even move an inch, a guy grabbed his arm.

 

"Not so fast there sweetie." The guy grabbing him said.

 

Jinki forced himself not to groan. He is wearing a goddamn tie so why in the world is this guy calling him sweetie? Aish! He shouldn't be looking like a girl with a pair of slacks because that would be plain creepy.

 

Jinki turn to the guy and bow politely. "I'm really sorry for bumping into you. I really am, but I also need to go home." He said, he purposely made his voice to sound deep.

 

The guy chuckle. "I'm sorry babe but I can't." Then, the guy caress Jinki's cheeks that made the latter flinch.

 

"I really need to go." Jinki struggle.

 

"No rush babe. Let's have a bit of fun first." The guy said, leaning down, blowing hot air on Jinki's ear.

 

Jinki tried to push the guy away but his big muscles aren't for show. Also, 

Jinki is too exhausted to give all his strength.

 

"...Let him go..."

 

That one familiar voice made Jinki stop struggling, and so did the guy.

 

"You're...?" the guy mutter.

 

Jinki just blatantly stare at Jonghyun who is now wearing a tight pants, 

fitted shirt topped with an expensive black leather jacket. Also, Jonghyun isn't wearing his bandana. Jinki can now see how handsome Jonghyun really is. 

 

"I'm the leader of Shinee Organization." Jonghyun declares. "So if you don't let him go now, I'm not sure of what I can do to your little gang." 

 

The guy frown. "Why are you even intruding in my business? Is he yours?" The guy ask, pointing to Jinki.

 

Jinki is about to say no because he isn't Jonghyun's. Or not yet. Jinki is just being hopeful. But Jonghyun beat him to it.

 

"Yeah." Jonghyun said. "Hands off or it will be falling out of you. Pick one. But I advice you to do the first." 

 

The guy huff in annoyance. "Fine! Whatever!" And he walks away bringing his friends alone.

 

Silence spreads between them and Jinki thinks its very uncomfortable so he decided to break it.

 

"...Jonghyun." He calls out.

 

"No need to worry about what I said to those guy. I only said this to stop them harassing you. You don't have to think much about it." Jonghyun said, turning away from Jinki and started wallking away.

 

Jonghyun didn't manage to go that far when Jinki once again called out to him.

 

"Wait Jonghyun!" Jinki said. Jonghyun stop walking but didn't bother to look at him. "Can we have a talk?"

 

"About what?" Jonghyun ask.

 

"I want to say sorry for leaving that day. I know I offended you but, its just I didn't know what to say." Jinki said. "I..."

 

"Don't worry about it. Its all over now. I got your answer anyway." Jonghyun said, still not turning to Jinki. "You've been avoiding me for a while and I'm not stupid to know what it means. You don't like me." 

 

Jinki shake his head. Jonghyun totally got it wrong. 

 

"I'm going now." Jonghyun said, as he once again started walking without even sparing Jinki a glance.

 

"No! Wait!" Jinki yell. "You don't get it!"

 

"I don't get what exactly?!" Jonghyun snap. He turns to Jinki with a scary expression. "I get it all Jinki. I'm sorry for saying those things. All I really wanted was to be your friend anyway." 

 

"Just hear me out will you?!-" Jinki snap either.

 

"Hear what?! Hear you reject me again?!" Now, its Jonghyun's turn to snap.

 

"I'm just avoiding you because I can't understand what I'm feeling!" Jinki blurts out, with eyes closed. He don't want to see the startled expression on 

Jonghyun's face. "I actually like you too." 

 

Jonghyun's eyes widen. He can't believe what he just heard. Did Jinki really...?

 

"I'm actually liking you. I missed you when I'm not seeing you despite knowing you for a very short time. Like literally. I really like you." Jinki said, opening his eyes with an obvious blush on his cheeks.

 

Jonghyun remain rooted on the spot so, Jinki decided that maybe its his tie to reach out. He walks toward Jonghyun, placed his hands on his shoulders up to the back of his neck and he leaned for a kiss. A soft, gentle and innocent kiss.

 

Jonghyun is lost for words and in the feeling of Jinki's lips. He is caught on how soft it actually is though a bit chapped but still soft. Just perfect. 

 

"I love you, Jonghyun." Jinki breathes, his lips just a few centimeters away from Jonghyun's 

 

"Really?" Jonghyun ask, just to confirm that its really real.

 

"Yeah." Jinki honestly answer. "How about you?" 

 

"So much." 

 

And they shared a kiss once more.

They did met for a short time and know less things about each other but those doesn't matter in the hearts of two people loving each other. And they still have so much time to get to know one another.

Guys! This thing has been written ages ago, but I'm too tired to post it. This is inspired by the appearance of an actor in my country who wore a bandana around his head and made him look so funny. It made me laugh so I decided to write a fic about it and then I watched SHINee's downtown baby music video and saw Jonghyun. I did laugh as I recall that actor! xD Anyway, this is one of my favorite fic that I wrote. Hope you will like this too.

 

Soon, I'll post a fic of Heechul and Sato Takeru. If anyone here watched Rourouni Kenshin then you'll very much catch up to that fic.
