V stared at the sleeping figure resting her head on his shoulder. His lips curled up into a small smile as he 
remembered their first meeting. Their first meeting. The way his heart skipped a beat for the first time he landed 
his eyes on her. Was something wrong going on with him? Why is he feeling this way? 

Does she feel this way too?

“Ugh, this is stressful!” He whispered and playfully pushed Soyeon’s head away from his shoulder. The sleepy 
girl blinked her eyes open and looked around with a dumbfounded expression. It hit her when she turned to face
 V who was dying out of laughter beside her. 

Soyeon clenched her jaws and roughly hit him on the chest. “Oof!” He groaned and clenched onto his injured
 chest. “Serve you right, alien.” She mumbled and bowed slightly at the disturbed fellow bus passengers. He 
giggled before popping a cheese ball into his mouth. “Wasn’t my fault that your head was so heavy on my 
shoulder. Wow, your head must’ve done weight lifting too!” He said as the brunette beside him turned into a f
lush red before she knocked his head. 

“Wh-Whatever...” She muttered and shoved a cheese ball into her mouth. They continued the ride silently with a few 
more munches of the cheese ball before they got to their requested stop. The two hopped off the public bus. They
 continued their journey back to their house in another silence because, they are hella tired of that day. Went to
 Mrs. Cha’s house for the wedding plan, visited VIXX’s practice room -not forgetting to accidentally watch the 
Neo moment- and bumped onto the Kai guy.

Oh wait, that guy.

He seemed kind off suspicious and the reason made V more curious of that guy was the fear written on 
Soyeon’s face. Fear and anger mixed in one. Other than that, V wasn’t some kind of a stupid guy to not 
notice the glare Kai secretly gave him. He was curious. Very curious. And the way to kill it was to ask her about it.

“Uhm, can I ask you something?” V started slowly and she hummed as a response. He hesitated for awhile.
 V was contempletating wether to ask her or just to shrug it off. But as a loyal and responsible husband-to-be he must take things like this the serious way and must not shr--

“C’mon, what are you going to ask me? This is making me the one being curious..” Soyeon said with furrowed
 eyebrows and he smiled apologatically.

“aha...sorry...Uhm, uh..the question is... You..um...”

“Urgh! Can you not drag the time? This is making freaki--” 

“What is your relationship with Kai?” He asked with closed eyes.

Silence.

Welp, told you to not ask her that. Ok, Taehyung, in the count of three, take a sprint. One...Two...Thr--

“Kai’s... a guy from back in middle school.... A classmate....” Soyeon answered in a mutter. He could 
sense the slightly shaken of her breath in her sentence. V thought it would be just enough to stop there 
but the curiousity grew even bigger. Ignore it and change the topic, Kim Taehyung.

“Just a classmate? Are you sure?” V continued to question the girl beside him who had her eyes stuck
 on the ground. Silence greeted them again as he waited for her response.

Great, you’re making it more awkward. Bravo, Kim Taehyung.

“Y-yeah, just a fellow classmate...” She answered and being the quick-witted guy he was, V couldn’t just rest 
assure with that kind of answer.

“Are you really sure about it? I’m not convinced though with that kind of answe--”

“J-Just shut up, can’t you?!” She snapped and halted on her track which he did the same too. His eyes
 widened slightly as he was shocked by her sudden outburst. Soyeon was in front of him with her back
 facing him. Her head was hung low.

“Wh-Why do you even want to know about my life? It’s nothing related to you at all! We are nothing, 
okay?! Why can’t you just leave me alone?!” Soyeon exclaimed. He was frozen behind her. 
He didn’t knew what to do. 

“Why are you making me suffocate more and more?!” She continued. He was a bit confused with 
that question. What does she meant by suffocating?

For a few seconds later, he heard her sobs. V panicked and rushed to envelope the girl into his
 embrace. She became weak and hung onto V. He could feel the wetness of her tears soaked i
nto his tee. He  her hair gently and hushed a few of sweet nothings for her. This. This was
 what made him skipped a beat.

“...Why...Why, Baekhyun....” She muttered and he frozed at the words she spoke. “Why must y-you
 go a-away s-so early....” Soyeon muttered again. V continued to comfort her.

Hallucinating again...

“I-I miss you....so so much...” Soyeon said and her breathing was slowly coming even. He rubbed 
her back soothingly and slightly rocked her from side to side.

“I...Love you...Baekhyun....” She whispered and there she went to dreamland. V’s heart was 
shattered into a million of pieces when he heard those words that came out of her mouth. They 
stood there for a very long time. But V was more than willing to stand there, in the cold, even for 
days, if she would be content in his embrace. 

That was it. 

He knew what was that something.

He fell for her. Hard.

And he was going to make her forget about Baekhyun and only look at him.
