"Where are you going Kyungsoo?" Junmyeon asked who just got out from shower when he saw her sister going to the front door.

Kyungsoo look at her brother and just shrugged. "I'll just walk on the shore."

Today is Kyungsoo's first day of summer and she's going to spend it by walking on the shore this morning until early noon and the rest of the day she doesn't know how to spend it.

"Summer." Kyungsoo mutters to herself as she walks on the shore feeling the summer breeze and serenity that the sound of waves brought. She closes her eyes to feel the serenity but disturbed by a loud shrieked.

"My hat it flew!!!! Go get it!"

Kyungsoo saw the hat flew near the water so she tried to get it because she is nearer. When she got a hold of the hat and about to stand up from squatting she loses her balance and about to fall when there are strong pair arms who hold her by shoulder.

"Gotcha!" Said the manly voice who is holding her.

When she got up straight and look at the boy who caught her.

"T-thank you!" Kyungsoo stutters.

"You're welcome!" The boy said and grins showing his perfect pearl white teeth.

"My hat!" the little girl shrieked with the little boy running behind her. "You got my hat, give it to me." The little girl said tugging her dress.

"Here." Kyungsoo gives the hat smiling to the little girl who runs happily with her hat and the little boy runs after her.

"Hey, Tao have some manners and say thank you!" The boy who caught her shout but Tao and the little boy is already busy playing together to care. "I'm sorry about that." The boy said and smiles shyly while rubbing his nape. Kyungsoo finds it boyish and cute.

"It's okay, I don't mind." Kyungsoo said smiling. "What?" She asked after seeing the boy's expression.

"Your lips."

"What's wrong with my lips?" Kyungsoo asked touching her lips trying to find what was the boy find in her lips strange.

"Your lips. . ." Kyungsoo looks at the man with anticipation. After an agonizing seconds past. ". . . it's heart shaped." the boy finally said and Kyungsoo wants to smack him in the head for stating the obvious.

"Yes, is something wrong with that?" Kyungsoo asked defensively because no matter how hot. . . wait, what? No matter who the guy is, she can't help but feel offended.

"Oh wait, I'm sorry to offend you but I didn't mean this si the first I saw a heart-shaped lip in person and it's pretty." Kyungsoo blushed at the compliment. "By the way, I'm Kim Jongin and those two brats are Tao and Sehun. And you are?"

"I'm Kyungsoo." Kyungsoo answers timidly.

"Nice to meet you." Jongin said smiling brightly that made his eyes into cressent shape and Kyungsoo finds it adorable an adjective not suitable for a man.

 

"Are they your siblings?" Kyungsoo asked, the two of them sitting far away from shore but not too far from the children playing to watch them.

Jongin looks at her amusing playing in his eyes. "Nope, they are my. . . uhh playmates."

"Playmates?" Kyungsoo asked eyes widening like a saucer.

Jongin chuckles "Cute."

"Huh?"

"Nothing, yes they are my playmates." Jongin said looking at the children with a serene smile and Kyungsoo can't help but stare. "The little girl is Tao and the little boy is Sehun they are the true siblings, I met them 2 summers ago. I visited my grandmother and I bumped into them and they asked me to play with them but before I leave they asked me to come again next summer and before I knew it I'm always coming here every summer just like now." Jongin said smile playing in his lips.

"They must really like you." Kyungsoo said, who can't help but smile.

"You think so?" Jongin asked a sincere smile pasted on his face.

Kyungsoo answer him with bright smile.

 

 

 

Kyungsoo, Jongin, Tao and Sehun are now resting in the siblings house, they were alone because their parents are out to the city for their respective jobs leaving the siblings alone to play with each other. No wonder they asked Jongin to come and play every summer. 

"Hey, hey look at my work of art, it's beautiful right?" Tao said eyes sparkling showing her work of art.

I'ts good." Kyungsoo said with polite smile, though she can't understand what Tao drew.

"Don't joke around Kyungie, I can't even understand what she drew." Jongin said laughing. "Aww." Kyungsoo smacked him in the shoulders. "What? I'm just telling the truth." Jongin smiled sheepishly.

"That's right Tao, look at what I draw, this is work of art." Sehun said showing his own work of art.

"Stop kidding Sehun, that's just sticks." Jongin said laughing, Kyungsoo frowned. "Why does these kids wants to play with this guy again?"

"Shut up, Jongin hyung. And give me that red pencil color." Sehun said.

Jongin stop laughing and his face turns red and Kyungsoo eyed him. "Go get it yourself." Jongin said.

"But it's nearer to you." Sehun countered.

Jongin can't do anything but do it. "Red, red, red, oh it's blue right? Red, red, red, oh it's red."  Kyungsoo looks at Jongin suspiciously.

"There's something missing."

 

 

"You look so happy these days." Junmyeon said as a matter of fact. He sat on his little sister's bed.

"I am." Kyungsoo said smiling to his brother but then he remeber what she was thinking before her brother barge in her room. "But i am scared to be this happy." Kyungsoo said as the smile fades in her face.

"No don't be afraid being happy is never a fearful thing you should be grateful because not anyone can be happy even if they wanted to. Be happy as long as you can and when things got bad and you can't find something to be happy about just remeber those days you smile, laugh and feel totally happy." Junmyeon said ruffling Kyungsoo's hair.

Kyungsoo smiles at her brother's words. "You need to find a girlfriend." Kyungsoo said out of being speechless but she half meant that.

"I know, but I'm too busy to find one." Junmyeon said before going out of Kyungsoo's room pouting.

 

"Why?" Jongin asked suddenly. They are playing at the waters just like before, the only different is Kyungsoo is just watching the three play which is unusual.

"Huh?" Kyungsoo asked taken aback at Jongin's question.

"Why do you have a far away look on your face, is something wrong?" Jongin asked worriedly.

Kyungsoo looks at Jongin with a sad smile. "I'm leaving in two days."

"What? But summer won't end until 2 weeks from now." Jongin said panic building inside him.

"I'm on my first year of high school Jongin and I am transferring school and we need settle at our new house so we need to leave here 2 weeks ahead." Kyungsoo explained sadly.

Jongin just nod and the whole day Kyungsoo tried not to be awkward with Jongin especially when the two kids are around.

 

 

Kyungsoo went to their meeting place the day before they had to leave and decided to spend her remaining time with Jongin, Sehun and Tao. Just like her brother said Kyungsoo will try to be happy as long as she can.

Kyungsoo found Jongin sitting on the porch of the siblings house.

"Hey!" Jongin said when he saw Kyungsoo standing beside him.

"Hi!" Kyungsoo greets back.

Jongin starts to stand and brush his pants straight. "Tao and Sehun won't be here, they chose to play with their friends in the city." Jongin said and started walking so Kyungsoo have no choice but follow.

They are walking aimelessly on the shore and Kyungsoo can't help but feel awkward because she is not used to be alone with Jongin, they always with Tao and Sehun. Kyungsoo blushed when she thought that it will be a romatic scene if they are lovers. Kyungsoo shakes her head to let go the thoughts.

Jongin who stops walking looks at Kyungsoo who is shaking her head vehemently. "Is something wrong?" Jongin asked worriedly.

"N-nothing!" Kyungsoo said not looking at Jongin.

Jongin sighed and look at the horizon. "You know, I'm always wondering how the sky and the waters looks like. How the world would look like in colors."

Kyungsoo looks up at Jongin remembering that time that Kyungsoo thought something is missing. And here it is Jongin is. . .

Jongin smiled sadly at Kyungsoo. "Yes, I am color blind, to me everything is black and white. And my family and friends always tried to describe to me how the sky and water looks like but I still can't imagine it. Well not until I met you." Jongin said smiling brightly and Kyungsoo wants to cry. "Remeber how did you describe the sky and the waters to me?" 

And yes Kyungsoo remebers it.

 

"Kyungie, how does sky and waters looks like?" Jongin asked suddenly not looking at Kyungsoo.

"Huh? Why do you ask?" Kyungsoo asked frowning.

"Nothing just curious." Jongin shrugged still looking at horizon.

Kyungsoo sighed and looks at the sky. "The sky and waters, they are sparkling." Kyungsoo said smiling.

Jongin looks at Kyungsoo who is looking at the sky smiling and Jongin is stunned by the sight. "Sparkling."

"It is." Kyungsoo said eyes sparkling.

 

"When I met you I knew how the sky and waters looks like because just like you it's sparkling." jongin said and pulled Kyungsoo into hug. "Thank you." Jongin whispers.

 

 

"Noona, do you love summer?" Sehun asked.

Kyungsoo, Jongin, Sehun and Tao are now sitting in the front porch waiting for Kyungsoo's departure.

"Of course I love summer."

"What about you Jongin hyung?"

"Me? I love summer and I fell in love with waters." Jongin said smiling up at Kyungsoo. Kyungsoo who realized what Jongin meant smiles so bright at Jongin with a tear of happiness.

 

 

Kyungsoo is walking upstairs to go to her assigned room to her new high school. It is nerve wracking. "They're not going to bully me right?"

 

Meanwhile Jongin is still in dazed.

"May still can't get over summer." One of Jongin's friend said.

It's been two weeks since Jongin and Kyungsoo saw each other they communicate through phone but it is not enough for Jongin. "Oh, I forgot to asked where her new school is."

 

"Okay go back to your seats and be quiet, we have transfer student and be nice to her. This is Do Kyungsoo."

"Do Kyungsoo?" That's familiar.

"Do Kyungsoo?" I haven't heard it in a while.

Kyungsoo enters the room.

Jongin looks up.

"Kyungie!?"
