Impress Me

Description

Park Lae Li A.K.A Lily was quiet girl who had to be the most anti-social girl out there. She didn’t like interacting with others because it was simply easier that way. Many tried to change her, and many left without doing so. That was how she believed it would be; no one would be able to change her, therefore meaning that no one would be able to hurt her.

Now enters Kim Myung Soo. He wasn’t someone out to change her, but only trying to figure out what made her tick, simply because he was bored and wanted something better to do than get good marks and have girls fawning over him like they fawned over his friends. This changed, however, as he got to know her better.

All that’s left now is to fall in love, and finally break through the walls surrounding Lily's’s heart.

Foreword

“Please?” he begged, voice sounding desperate.

She barely spared him a glance. “I already said that I won’t go out with you twice already – understand this and leave my desk at once,” she coolly told me, her eyes not even once straying from the worn book she was currently reading.

She listened as he sighed heavily at her rude reply, and almost smirked as he walked away from her desk as she had advised him to.

Though not many people really confessed to her and asked her to be their girlfriend, it still was very annoying to have guys coming up to her. Even worse when girls came up to her and tried to befriend her.

Most people – thank goodness for that! – had understood by then that she was a girl who disliked interaction and left her alone, but there were still students out there who thought that they could change her.

For the life of her, she couldn’t understand the reason they would want to. She was just a girl trying to get through life. The sooner they realized this the better.

Lily sighed in irritation as her seongsaengnim finally showed up for his class, apologizing once for his delay before asking them to stand up, bow, and sit back down again.

I can’t believe that Lee Byung Hun confessed when I had been reading my favorite book. Now look what he did! I can’t read it anymore.

Shaking her head from these thoughts, Lily took out her science notebook and waited for the seongsaengnim’s instructions as to what they were going to learn today.

Kim Myung Soo walked towards his friends after history class, one hand holding his books.

He raised an eyebrow at Woohyun and Sungyeol, who were whispering furiously with one another. Sure, they were great friends, but didn’t really look like gossiping school girls. Ever.

The others were, thankfully, the same as they always were: Woohyun and Sungyeol looked exasperated (This almost never was any different, unfortunately), Hoya was chomping away at what seemed to be chips, and Dongwoo was telling Hoya to cut back on fast food.

“What’s going on with them?”  Myungsoo asked Hoya, stopping next to him.

Dongwoo heard this and turned over to them, looking very scandalized. “Did you hear yet, Myungsoo hyung? L.Joe confessed to a girl but got rejected!”

Myungsoo raised an eyebrow at that, mildly surprised. Lots of girls liked L.Joe, and so it was obvious to say that when L.Joe confessed to someone – which was a rarity in itself – he always ended up getting the girl as his girlfriend.

“I’m not surprised,” cut in Hoya. “After all, the girl in question was Park Lily.”

“Park Lily?” questioned Myungsoo. “Who’s that?”

“She’s this girl in my English class; very quiet, doesn’t like to talk much,” Dongwoo filled in, but was cut off by Hoya, who snorted at this.

“So she’s not all that different from you then.” Instantly, Woohyun and Sungyeol began laughing. Dongwoo flushed at this, but simply glared at them and swung his eyes back over to Myungsoo, who was smirking at Hoya's joke. Dongwoo flushed further, glaring at his hyung.

Anyway,” he said. “She’s very antisocial, and gets confessed to every now and then. She always says no, and is pretty peeved by the confessions, it seems. I was there when a student named Lee Joon confessed to her three years ago.”

“Lee Joon?” Hoya asked through a mouthful of chips. “I’ve heard of that guy. He used to be pretty popular.”

Sunggyu rolled his eyes. “Hoya, I’m sure everyone here has heard of Lee Joon. We were invited to his party two years ago, remember?” Hoya scoffed, but said nothing else in response.

Myungsoo was a bit surprised by the rumor and this Lily girl, but easily cast this aside. He didn’t care, because it had nothing much to do directly with him.

Girls like her – ones who rejected even the handsomest of boys – didn’t come around often, though.

Gahhh, this is sort of cliche and your typical high school love story. lmfao, but I like the previews you put in the forewords. I also like the way you write and god how I love Dongwoo here. XD <br />
How is it that you have subbies for the fic, but not one single comment? That's bull right there. lol Anyways, I hope to see the first chapter soon. ;3
