Pool Boy

Pool Boy

The first time Minho saw him was at the pool. Typically, Minho hated swimming, but his friends had really wanted to go to commence their graduation and after pestering him about being a debby downer, Minho had reluctantly agreed to go. There was just no arguing with Taemin and Jonghyun, they always got their way. So there Minho was, trudging out of the locker rooms decked out in his swim trunks, towel over one shoulder, being towed along by Jonghyun and Taemin to the far end of the pool. Minho sometimes forgot that Jonghyun was a year older than the both of them. He'd taken extra courses to qualify for a scholarship after wasting his senior year goofing off with his boyfriend, Kibum (who coincidentally had just "forgotten he'd booked a dentist appointment and couldn't make it to the pool that day" - dentist appointment Minho's , he just knew Kibum hated chlorine in his hair). Jonghyun had been successful this year though, and as the only one out of the trio who could drive, he'd volunteered to drive them around during the summer and well, when Taemin suggested the pool no one could say no.

Minho set his towel down and plopped onto it, grabbing a book he'd brought along with him. He figured if he looked busy, the other two rascals wouldn't bother him much. Taemin was already running off towards the pool anyway, despite Jonghyun's protests for him to put on sunblock first. Minho chuckled to himself; Jonghyun really doted on Taemin. He babied him to no end, whatever Taemin wanted, he'd get it eventually if Jonghyun could help it. Minho was still lost in thought thinking about his friends when he saw him.

He was wearing red swim trunks, yellow stripes down the sides, a white water tube around his shoulder. He had a small whistle hanging on a black lanyard around his neck and his hair was slightly damp. Minho watched him walk from one end of the pool to the other, surveying everyone swimming and it donned on Minho that he was the lifeguard. He watched the man run a hand through his hair and smile and wave at some kids as he passed by them. Minho appraised the man once over again stopping short at his legs.

Now, if Minho was a man who had a type, it was the type with great legs.

The man had wonderously firm calves and tight, muscled thighs, and when he bent over to pick up and toss a pool noodle back to a group of elementary school kids, Minho caught a nice view of the man's round as well. He was perfect in the legs department as far as Minho could tell, as he watched the man circle the pool again before returning to his lifeguard chair. At that moment, he felt water splash him from the side, and he scowled as he looked up from his book's now damp pages to eye Taemin viciously. Taemin just laughed at his expression, his head nodding toward the lifeguard.

"I know him, you know." That took Minho by surprise. He was about to open his mouth when Taemin spoke again, "Oh, c'mon, hyung, I saw you watching him. You can't deny that you weren't totally checking him out." Taemin waggled his eyebrows at Minho suggestively, and let out a laugh when Minho's hard expression crumbled, a light blush forming on his cheeks.

"How the hell do you know someone like him..." Minho muttered. Taemin climbed out of the pool, walking over to grab his towel and sit next to Minho, tousling his hair with the towel.

"Well maybe if you weren't such a hermit and you came out with Jonghyun and I more often, you'd see that this isn't the first time we've come to the pool, and if you were friendly like us, maybe you'd have introduced yourself to him like we did and you could've known him too." Taemin smirked, slyly. Minho wasn't one to get irritated quickly so disregarding his apparent hermit-status, he turned his focus back to the man in the lifeguard chair who was now sipping on a drink.

"What's his name?"

"Jinki."

"How old is he?"

"I don't know...probably a few years older than we are."

"Does he like guys?"

"Jesus, Minho, I don't know! When you meet someone you become acquaintances, you don't exactly delve into the realms of personal questions only close friends ask." Minho pouted, eliciting a small laugh from Taemin. "Hyung, if you really want to know the answer, why don't you just go ask him yourself?" Minho blinked.

"But we're not friends." Taemin sighed, getting to his feet. He looked down at his hyung, an evil smile spreading across his face.

"Then you're gonna become friends." He said, and with that, he left. Minho watched him confusedly run to Jonghyun who was still in the deep end of the pool, whisper something to him, and then wait for him to jump out of the pool as well. The two gave Minho a wave to which Minho raised his hand in response, immediately freezing when he saw them make their way over to the lifeguard chair. Minho began to worry as he saw them gesture to the man, and then he began to panic as they began to talk, Taemin occassionally pointing to Minho, still sitting on his towel in the shade. Then Minho began to nearly hyperventilate as he saw them approaching. All he could focus on were those gorgeous thighs clenching together as the man walked over, and eventually those thighs were directly in front of his face.

"Hi there, I'm Jinki, um, your friends say you need help with swimming?" Minho suddenly understood, and he slowly looked past Jinki's heavenly legs to glare his burning charisma glare straight into Taemin and Jonghyun's souls. The two caught his glare and were suddenly making excuses about needing to be at the other side of the pool and they took off leaving a helpless Minho still seated in front of the owner of the most fabulous legs in existence.

"U-Um..."

"Hey, it's nothing to be ashamed about if you can't swim, I can totally help you out, so why don't we get into the pool together? It'll be fun, I promise." Jinki gave Minho a huge smile and he felt nothing but incredibly embarrassed because no this was not how he wanted to make friends with this guy.

"Listen, you don't have to-"

"It's cool, man, don't worry, I love to help out! We can just get in the pool and get started with the basics."

"No, you don't understand, it's not like that..."

"Oh, are you afraid of water or something? I know some exercises that can help you get accustomed to being underwater if you're uncomfortable with it."

"No, really, it's not any of those things! I can totally swim, I'm like, an expert swimmer, I swear, I was on the team in high school and everything!" Jinki cocked his head to the side, looking at Minho confusedly.

"So then...why did you friends ask me to come over here?"

"Because I think you're really hot." Minho blurted out. He mentally slapped himself for his lack of filter. He was always trying to tell himself that you can't just be so blunt with people all the time but he'd gone and done himself in for sure and he waited awkwardly for the other man's response.

"Oh...um...listen dude, I hate to break it to you, but-"

"No, I get it, sorry that was dumb, forget it man, I'm sorry I said that." Minho wasn't one who handled rejection well and he certainly wasn't about to start. He was ready to say goodbye as quickly as possible, go find Taemin and Jonghyun, beat the crap out of them for forcing him to come to the pool, and then go home and probably lay in bed thinking about this guy's perfect legs for the remainder of the night.

"...Actually I was going to say I'm sorry because my shift ends super late today since it's the first day of summer break, but if you want, you can give me your number and if you're free tomorrow, we can get together then?" Jinki smiled at him and Minho had to steady himself because only god knew how his knees turned to jello.

The next day, Minho paced anxiously awaiting 1 o'clock when Jinki said his shift would be over. He had saved the boy's number the day before, with Jinki inviting him to go to the beach for the day. He was going to pick him up and drive them both there to spend the day, maybe grab dinner, and then call it a night. Minho was anxious because he'd spent most of the night tossing and turning, unable to calm his nerves, and picturing Jinki's legs in positions too embarrassing for him to think about right before Jinki was supposed to pick him up. He looked at himself in the mirror, tousling his hair every which way, trying to groom it into a more presentable display when his phone chirped with a message from Jinki saying he was out front. Minho grabbed his bag, phone, and keys and all but ran out the door, jogging down the steps to the car parked at the side of the road.

"Hey," he mumbled awkwardly as he opened the passenger side of the car, sliding into the seat. Jinki smiled up at him and Minho had to swallow a few times, his mouth suddenly drying.

"Hey, again. So I was thinking we'd just go hang out at the beach, I actually get discounts for food and stuff there because I'm a lifeguard, they all know me and stuff, and then we could see what to do from there?" Jinki's eyes were focused on the road as he spoke and Minho found his calmness to be all the more nerve-wracking. He shook his head dumbly before they settled into a silence as they drove. Minho took the chance to glance down Jinki's body to appraise his attire and his breath hitced in his throat; Jinki was wearing shorts...much shorter than yesterday's.

It only took about 15 minutes of driving until Jinki was pulling up into the beach parking lot; his lifeguard privileges allowing him to occupy a reserved area in the shade so their seats wouldn't burn while they were away. Minho ambled out of the car to help Jinki unload some towels and his bag from the back seat, swallowing nervously as Jinki bent down into the back, high in the air causing his shorts to ride up his firm thighs. Minho felt terrible staring but he couldn't take his eyes off the clenched muscles in Jinki's legs, flexing everytime he leaned further into the car. Minho thought he'd have a heart attack staring until Jinki straightened, kicking the door shut with his leg and smiling at Minho with a 'let's go then.'

They set their towels down in a shady spot on the beach before running off towards the water, jumping in immediately and relishing in the cool water against the heat of the summer sun. They swam around, splashing water at each other and racing each other in swimming competitions (which much to Minho's dismay, Jinki usually won) before eventually just laying on their backs on foam floats, relaxing in the water. Minho was feeling so at ease, his nerves finally diminished, until Jinki spoke.

"So...you think I'm pretty hot, eh?" Minho was shocked for a moment before he remembered what he'd blurted out to Jinki yesterday and he wanted to punch himself.

"Well...yeah...I mean, I'm not creepy or anything!" Minho said, "I just know an attractive person when I see one," Minho felt his face and neck burning up; god he was so stupid, why couldn't he be smooth and say something less stupid?

"Haha, thanks...because I think you're really cute, too." Minho's eyes shot open, squinting through the light of the now setting sun. He glanced over at Jinki's face who seemed to blushing...but Minho figured it could just be the red sun reflecting on his skin. Minho sat up on his foam float, looking down at Jinki laying on his stomach on his.

"Oh, yeah?" Jinki was definitely blushing now, Minho was sure, and he found it incredibly endearing.

"Y-Yeah...so um, anyway, do you want to go grab some food or something?" Jinki said, scrambling up on his float before jumping back into the water and wading back to shore. Minho watched his retreating back, the defined muscles clenching and he thought it wasn't just Jinki's legs; his whole body was beautiful.

They made their way back to their spot in the shade, Jinki inviting Minho to sit while he grabbed them some snacks from the sandbar. Minho settled comfortably on his towel and it wasn't long before Jinki was back, hovering over him, two drinks in his hands and some packets of snacks dangling from between his teeth.

"I hope these are alright," he said as he plopped down next to Minho. Minho appraised the snacks, nodding in approval. Then Jinki reached out to give him his drink, but as Minho stuck his hand out to accept it, Jinki stilled.

"Something wrong?" Minho said, arching his eyebrow.

"I uh.." Jinki stammered, "I realize I did not think this through...this is fruit juice with vodka...it's....it's alcoholic..., I don't even know how old you are, I'm sorry..." Minho couldn't help but laugh as Jinki grew more flustered and kept rambling apologies, he simply accepted the drink out of Jinki's hand, the boy looking up at him in surprise.

"I'm 18 but I mean, it's not like I can't take a drink. It's fine, Jinki." He said, nonchalantly before hesitating under Jinki's gaze, "...hyung? Jinki hyung?" Jinki laughed at him and Minho figured nothing sounded as lovely as Jinki's laugh.

"I totally feel like a cradle robber now," he murmured, but his smile told otherwise, "I'm almost 23 already." Minho's eyebrows shot up in surprise, and unable to stop himself he was blabbing.

"But you barely look 20, I mean really you look so young for a second I thought I might be the hyung you know and I mean your skin's so nice and you're really fit and it's not like 23 is even old or anythi-" Jinki put a hand up to Minho's lips and Minho's brain functions halted and all he could think was 'Jinki's hand is on my mouth, his hand is touching my lips, I am KISSING his palm right now-'

"Minho, I get it, you think I'm a handsome hyung," he chuckled, causing Minho to grow more embarrassed, "now let's eat and call it a day, it's getting late."

They finished their food, Minho only feeling slightly woozy under the effects of a drink he quickly learned was definitely more alcohol than fruit, and made their way back to the car. Minho stumbled a few times so he opted to walk slightly behind Jinki because he didn't want him to think he was a wuss who couldn't handle his alcohol. Jinki on the other hand barely looked affected by alcohol and Minho was irked knowing that it came from the 4 years of practise drinking Jinki had on him.

After fumbling with the door handle for a bit, Minho managed to sit in the car. He leaned over at Jinki, his eyes only a little blurred, allowing his gaze to roam his perfec hyung's face.

"You- *hic* -sure you can drive, hyung?" Jinki giggled at Minho's red cheeks and started the engine, pulling out with ease and ambling off down the road.

"Relax, I can drive. I have a high tolerance," Minho sank down into his seat, closing his eyes, not quite feeling sick but sure if he watched the cars whiz by, he might start feeling it.

They got home quicker than Minho anticipated but maybe it was the alcohol skewing his sense of time. He unbuckled his seatbelt with a little difficulty, Jinki silently turning the car off and helping him out of the car into the house. Minho felt embarrassed, trying to shake him off, because really Minho wasn't drunk, he was just on the fence between alertness and impairedness but Jinki didn't budge and Minho tried to ignore the flowering feeling in his stomach when Jinki grabbed his hand to steady him and pull him through the door.

"Your place is nice," Minho said as he walked through the door. There was something about the scenery that looked familiar...like maybe he'd seen Jinki's house before...

"Really? Because this is your house," Jinki chuckled, easing Minho up the stairs and to his bedroom, plopping him down on the bed. Minho slowly opened his eyes as Jinki said something about going to get him some water, and his eyes landed on those thick thighs as he watched Jinki exit the room. He kept his eyes trained on the door until Jinki came back, his little shorts exposing more than half his thighs and leaving Minho with a drier mouth than he thinks the alcohol gave him. Jinki offered him the water and he awkwardly sat up, trying to cover the beginnings of a very unfortunate and accepted the glass. He drank until a thin stream of water escaped his lips, running down the side of his mouth and when he felt Jinki's finger brush it away he turned his eyes to stare directly at the man.

Jinki innocently swiped the water with his thumb before raising his hand to his mouth to the drop off but it was a lot for Minho to take in and he watched Jinki's pink tongue dart out to catch the droplet and Minho had to cross his legs but he probably shouldnt've because then Jinki crossed his legs too and his thighs flexed and his calves looked amazing and-

"Minho?"

"Y-Yeah?"

"Are you hard?" Minho's eyes shot down to his lap and his face burned. The noticeable lump in his lap throbbed and his legs shifted uncomfortably.

"No?"

"You sure? Looks like it to me," Jinki murmured, his hand reaching over to Minho's legs. Instinctively, Minho pulled back, but Jinki reached farther anyway, landing a hand on his thigh, slowly working his way up Minho's leg. Minho began to feel sweat gather on his brow and he thought about blaming it on the alcohol but when he felt his face flush deeply as Jinki landed a hand on Minho's waist, he decided not to kid himself.

"Isn't...this a little fast?" Minho wheezed out. He was most certainly not keeping his cool right now.

"Relax, I'm not that kind of guy, Minho," Jinki said, "I just want to kiss you a little, is that alright?" Jinki was inching closer and closer and Minho knew he was about to plant one on him so he focused on tilting his head and angling his lips while closing his eyes...and then Jinki slung a toned leg over Minho's own leg and Minho jerked forward instantaneously, effectively bonking Jinki in the face with his own face.

"O-Oh god, Jinki hyung, I'm so sorry it's just your legs-" Minho babbled on and Jinki had to shush him for the second time in that night.

"What about my legs?" Jinki said, instinctively crossing them.

"N-nothing they're just..." Minho stammered out, "really, really hot...I guess..." Jinki's eyebrows shot up.

"Oh?" His smirk turned sly and Minho figured he should've written his will before this date because he feels like he's about to die right now.

"Uh...yeah..." He stammered out, unattractively, "I mean they're muscled and totally fit and the perfect shape and I mean you have great curves and-" Minho shut up when Jinki leaned forward and pressed his lips to Minho's, harshly. Minho was surprised; Jinki kissed a lot more forcefully than he looked like he could, not that Minho was complaining. The leg draped over his was shifting so Jinki was settled comfortably in his lap, a leg on each side of Minho's waist, and Minho took the opportunity to grip the older man's thighs, squeezing tightly enough to elicit a throaty sigh from his hyung through their connected mouths.

"Hyung," Minho started as they broke apart, "you're a great kisser."

"You learn quickly, dongsaeng," Jinki chuckled and Minho felt his nerves thrown out the window. He unabashedly allowed his hands to roam Jinki's firm thighs, squeezing the soft flesh of his every now and then before trailing his hands down the man's legs to grip his calves, relishing in the little moans. Jinki's tongue was much more skilled than Minho and the younger boy found himself almost growing jealous of anyone who's been in his position before him and just the thought of anyone else's hands running along Jinki's legs like this...

Jinki yelped when Minho abruptly flipped them over, Minho grabbing Jinki's legs and hoisting one over his shoulder and the other around his waist. He peppered kisses down Jinki's neck, stopping to firmly on his jutting collarbone, drinking in Jinki's little mewls of pleasure. Jinki gripped at Minho's and went as far as to smack it, much to Minho's surprise, who stared up at him questioningly.

"U-um..." Jinki mumbled, clearly out of breath from all the kissing, "you know how you said you really like my legs?"

"Yeah, and?" Minho resumed pressing soft kisses to Jinki's chest, eyes nearly rolling back as Jinki wrapped his leg even tighter around Minho's waist.

"Well, I'm a total man and your -" Jinki gripped at the firm globes through Minho's shorts hard enough to cause Minho to groan, "-is out of this ing world." Minho couldn't help the laughter that bubbled up from his chest and Jinki giggled below him before they both sat up, occasionally sharing a sweet kiss.

"I guess we're a perfect match then, aren't we, pool boy?" Minho smirked and Jinki just rolled his eyes before tackling Minho back down, kissing him again.

Hey guys, LifeisSHINee here! Alright, alright, so I know this is a pretty lame ending, but I've had this idea on the back burner for so long that I just wanted to write it and get it off my plate because I probably have like a good 8 or 9 other fic ideas that I really want to get to! Originally I intended for this to be a little drabble but I was so tickled by the idea of Minho totally glorifying Jinki's legs that I figured it could use a little elaboration, but I really tried to keep this short and sweet. I hope you guys enjoyed this, and I have some more ideas I'll hopefully get to in the new year, so I'm wishing you all a merry christmas or happy hanukkah if you celebrate that, or just a happy holidays if you don't celebrate either, and I hope you all have a wonderful new year, and take care!
