The practice room was filled with 10 new Trainees and there was YG, Tablo, Taeyang, GD, Lee Hi, and Hanbin evaluating all of us.. out of all of the people, why him? why Hanbin. I can’t put in words of how nervous I am, i keep sweating and hyperventilating, I was waiting for my turn as i watched the other performances. 

 

‘Can you even dance? what was that performance? I should reconsider you being in this business, honestly. I’m so disappointed’ said YG to one of the trainees

 

‘Do you have anything to say?’ YG asked GD and Taeyang 

 

‘You should work harder’ said Taeyang, I think he was going easy on us, i thought to myself

 

GD is taking a while to answer, he rested his forehead in his hands, ‘no comment’ he replied 

 

Wow, what’s with all the harsh comments, i mean the performance wasn’t that bad, it’s just her nervousness acting up. 

 

‘Next’ said YG 

 

Oh crap, it’s my turn. 

 

I made my way to the middle of the room, i was enclosed in a circle full of trainees and the judges.

 

‘Hello, my name is Sky, i am going to perform a hip - hop choreography’ i said giving a brief introduction to the judges, and bowed

 

‘Ok, you may start now’ said YG 

 

‘Ok’ i replied. I took a deep breath and block out my other thoughts, just focusing on the choreography, i looked over to Hanbin, he smiled at me and mouthed ‘you can do it’

 

Then the music starts

After performing my dance, everyone was clapping so loud 

 

‘Wow, that was really good Sky, i’m impressed. When you perform, the dance and the flow is charismatic, and you presence in stage is very natural, i got to say when you dance, your face lit up, it seems you really enjoy what you’re doing, which is the main point of all of this. Take note everyone, she is the best in here’ said YG 

 

‘Waah, Sky, that was so good! When you performed, i can feel the upbeat vibe you gave to the audience, and that’s really important when you perform on stage, even though you’re dancing by yourself, you still want to interact with the audience, nice work’ said Tablo

 

‘I was really impressed, keep up the good work’ said Taeyang

 

‘I really liked the choreography, i love the energy you gave, i could say i almost love it’ said GD 

 

I stood in the middle of the room in awed, i can’t believe what’s happening right now, they’re showering me with compliments, i feel so relieved and appreciated, finally i can show off my talents.

 

After receiving the comments, i bowed, and sat back down. 

 

*End of the evaluation, everyone was dismissed

 

I stand up and pick up my bag, until i felt a tap in my shoulder behind me

 

‘Yah, who do you think you are ?’ the girl snapped at me 

 

‘E-excuse me?’ i said taken aback 

 

‘You think you’re good huh? well, you’re not. Stop acting like you’re the best here, it’s annoying’ she said 

 

‘Do i even know you? and since when did i act like that?’ I said, obviously annoyed

 

‘I’m Jennie Kim, and just so you know, i’m going to make it here before you do, so don’t have any high hopes’ she said with her y attitude 

 

‘Oh, I do remember you, you’re the one who performed before me, the one who did the worst performance, you sure you’re gonna make it here before me? even GD can’t say anything about it’ I said 

 

‘Urgh, whatever, just back off ugly ’ she said and left

 

What’s her problem seriously. i thought to myself 

 

 

Sky’s performance was so amazing, finally everyone can see her true talent

 

After everyone was dismissed, I saw Sky in the corner, and i decided to congratulate her, until.. one of the girl trainee approached her and speaking roughly to her

 

‘Urgh, whatever, just back off ugly ’ she said and left Sky 

 

Who is she? What’s wrong with her? i thought to myself madly.. i felt my fist curl into a ball. Hanbin, why are you like this? I thought to myself again, it seems like i can’t control myself around her. No, i don’t like her, no I don’t like her, no i don’t like her i said repeatedly.

 

‘Oh Hanbin you’re still here’ she said as she spotted me, everyone else went away, so it’s only Sky and I in the room 

 

‘Y-yeah, i’m in charge of cleaning the chairs’ I lied 

 

‘Hmm there’s a lot here, let me help you’ she said smiling 

 

’N-no don—‘ I said 

 

‘Too lateee' *merong* she said already picking up the chair moving it into the corner of the room stacking them 

 

‘Ya, i’ll do it’ I said back while picking up the chairs

 

‘Nope, i want to’ she said 

 

 

‘Ah i’m so tireeeeed’ she said while stretching 

 

‘Ya, you look pale, are you ok?’ I asked worriedly 

 

‘Uh, i do?’ she said while looking herself at the mirror

 

‘Have you been eating properly?’ I asked again

 

‘No, i’ve been to busy with the routine.. i don’t have time to—‘

 

‘I’m going to take you out for lunch right now, and i’m not gonna take no for an answer’ I said sternly

 

She looked at me and i stared at her eyes

 

‘Why do you care?’ she said confusedly, not angrily

 

‘W-well, we trainees, have to look out for each other right?’ I said quickly

 

‘Well, okay, let’s eat lunch then’ She replied 

 

 

‘Well, okay, let’s eat lunch then’ I replied 

 

What’s up with Hanbin, he’s actually less annoying.. why is he so different now, i thought to myself

 

We left the practice room and headed to the elevator until.. 

 

'Sky! Where are you going?’ shouted Bobby from the hallway, he was with the other IKON members

 

‘Hanbin-ah are you going out for lunch?’ asked Jinhwan 

 

‘Yea’ Hanbin replied shortly 

 

‘Can we tag along?’ said Bobby 

 

‘Of course’ i said happily, and yes i’m happy, ahh bobby oppa is so.., i turn towards Hanbin and he looks pissed all of the sudden

 

‘Sky? are you ok? you seem so tired’ said Jinhwan examining my face 

 

‘Yyeah, I’m just a bit tired that’s all’ i lied, actually i haven’t had sleep for 2 days, and i always practice for almost 24/7, but i don’t care because I love what i do 

 

‘Ya, don’t lie, you don’t look good, you should rest you know’ said Bobby worriedly 

 

‘Ah, i’m fine hehe’ i said then the elevator opened 

 

 

Ah, why is Bobby hyung and Jinhwan hyung coming? I’m the one who asked her first. 

 

We left the building and went to our (Ikon) favourite hangout spot. This place has so much memories, this place is where we got to know each other more, and when we want to release out stress and worries, it’s a small restaurant near the YG Building, it’s not spacious but it’s comfortable. 

 

 

‘Annyeong ahjumma!’ I said to the lady 

 

‘Aigoo, our Hanbin-ah is back, ah who is this?’ she ask pointing at Sky

 

‘Annyeonghaseo, i’m a new trainee in the YG industry, Sky-imnida' she said bowing 

 

‘Ommo, you’re so pretty’ said the lady

 

‘Ah, n-no’ Sky replied shyly

 

‘Ahjumma, you forgot mee?’ said Bobby approaching the lady with his age

 

‘Ommo, Jiwon-ah, you’re getting more handsome’ she said 

 

Then the lady led us to our table 

 

Sky sat next to me, while Bobby and Jinhwan sat across us

 

‘Who is the lady?’ asked Sky

 

‘She’s the lady that took care of us when we’re always feeling low, she’s basically our ‘omma’ here, since we can’t be with our moms 24/7’ said Jinhwan 

 

‘Oh’ she said while nodding 

 

‘So.. where’s your omma now?’ said Bobby asking Sky 

 

I shot a glare at Bobby, signalling him that it’s a bad question, then Bobby just looked at me confused. Jinhwan knew the look i gave him, so he kicked Bobby’s leg to stop him 

 

Sky looked down to her hands ‘My pare—‘ she said but I interrupter her knowing that she was uncomfortable 

 

‘Ya let’s order’ I said 

 

Sky looked at me, giving me a genuine smile 

 

‘Ahjumma, I want samgyupsal’ said Jinhwan 

 

‘Me too!’ said Bobby

 

‘What do you want to eat?’ i asked Sky

 

‘I’ll have ddukboki please’ she said cutely 

 

‘I’ll have that too’ i said to the lady 

 

‘Arraseo, i’ll be right back okay?’ she said giving us a smile 

 

 

‘Sky, do you want to watch us practice?’ said Bobby 

 

‘Yes!’ she said excitedly 

 

‘Maybe if you’re there, Hanbin will go easy on us’ said Jinhwan

 

‘Ha, never gonna happen hyung, sorry’ I said 

 

 

 

‘Ok, so this dance is gonna be our ‘debut dance’, we’re gonna perform this for the MelON awards’ explained Hanbin

 

i nooded 

 

‘Noona, sit here okay, watch how cool we are’ said Chanwoo as he sat me down infront of the mirror facing them

Th-this dance is too y to be legal, i thought to myself

 

When their dance is over, all i did was stare at them, stare at Hanbin. 

 

‘What did you think? is it that bad?’ said Hanbin

 

I shook my head, ‘Isn’t it uh, you know.. well.. uh..’ I said nervously while playing with my fingers 

 

‘Is it too y?’ said Bobby 

 

‘HAHAH, y-yes’ i said awkwardly

 

‘Good’ replied Hanbin giving me a smirk
