"Don't get it wrong, sugar"

 

 

Her hands ran up to his hair and then right after she lifted his chin and moved closer to his face. The guy was as if he was frozen by the way she looked at him. Just then, she smirked.

"I like you, but it’s not like the ‘I like you that I can give my whole life for you’"

She pushed the guy away as she chuckled.

"What did you just told me a while ago? You love me?" She laughed. "I love you, Courtney? What the hell"

"Courtney" the guy whispered "I thought you love m—"

She walked towards him and said "It was just a... game. I had fun, thanks to you. I know you're courting me with all of those flowers and chocolates and vodka and whatever but.."

"But I'm sorry… I just don't like you that much"

“But— ”

“Charlie, I’m sure you’ll find a girl better than me. I think we should stop seeing each other. I’m so glad that I met you, anyway. Goodbye” she kissed his cheeks and walked away.

The guy was left dumbfounded.

While in one corner of the restaurant, there is someone waiting for Courtney. She sighed as she witnessed the whole scene. 

"What the hell, Courtney. You dumped another guy"

Courtney didn't mind the comment of her friend named Tanya. They walked out of the restaurant and headed towards their car. Courtney gets her keys and started driving. Just five minutes after, she parked the car. And now they're walking in the corridor heading inside the bar and lounge.

"Courtney, you know, Charlie is a good guy, he’s an Architecture student, running for honors and he loves you so m—”

“He’s too good for a ‘Courtney Villegas’” Courtney cut of her words.

“And then when a jerk comes in, you’ll say, ‘A jerk won’t work with Courtney Villegas’” Tanya retorted.

"You know Courtney, you are my friend but.." Tanya paused "That was just too much!"

"I know" Courtney said "But I knew them, guys... they'll court you. They'll say they love you, they'll say they will never hurt you, but they never will"

"How would you know if you've never given them a chance?" Tanya spoke.

"Chance?" Courtney looked at her "I was never even given that kind of . Why would I give one back?"

Tanya sighed "I know someday, one guy will snap the out of you. One guy will show you how it is to love and to be really loved"

"That's enough of your love fantasies and drama. If there would be one guy that will be loving me blah blah blah insert whatever you have said... then so be it"

Tanya eyed her "Wow, I am happy you're opening up to possibilities"

"Again. For the nth time, don’t get it wrong" Courtney smirked "But I know, I just know, if ever that thing will happen, everything will be hard for him. It won't be easy"

"I know" Tanya laughed "If that day comes that you'll fall for a guy really really hard, I swear, I swear into this vodka that I will bake your wedding cake!"

"Shut up, !" Courtney said as she laughed so hard with Tanya. She took her last shot of drink, looked at Tanya and said

 

"Courting Courtney will be a goddamn struggle for that guy"
