Reasons to Say Farewell
Description
Jin is an average college student, not quite knowing what to do with his life and not that concerned with that problem either. It’s not until he meets a desperate young boy clinging to any sort of meaning when he starts to ponder the deeper things in life.
Foreword
“When darkness falls for good on this Earth,” he whispered, sounding rather dazed. The boy’s hair blew with the wind. “What do you think will be left?”
Jin flinched slightly in response to this question, not quite knowing what to say. The sky was red and creamy, clouds drifting as hues swirled and collided up above, and the young man glared at the scenery. Any other time, this would’ve been considered rather beautiful. Today however, it only came off as confusing. The red colors were off-putting and unnatural, and Jin felt a shiver run through him as he realized the time.
9:30 am. It should not be this dark already.
Jin glanced softly at the boy before sighing defeatedly. He wasn’t sure why he was here, in this strange place talking to a random little boy, but here he was as if in a dream. Jin figured it might be the excessive amount of caffeine he consumed before falling asleep. Maybe it had caused him to sleepwalk to this place. At this point, the young man felt much too tired to be concerned.
What he did know was that he didn't have the answers this boy was looking for. But somehow, he had to.
