Jessica is at the canteen eating her food when Luhan approached her.

"Want some?"

Luhan asked while handing her a plate of cake.

"Sure! Thanks Luhan!"Jessica replied.

Luhan noticed that something's wrong with Jessica,so he asked her.

"Jessica,is there something bothering you?"

"*sigh* I'm fine!"Jessica replied.

"Uhmm,ok then."Luhan said.

After a few moments of silence,Jessica suddenly spoke.

"Wait,I think I'm not the one who has a problem.It's you Luhan,am I right?"

"Me?No,I think it's you."Luhan replied.

"Troy,I know you very well because we're bestfriends; I know that there's something bothering you.Now tell me,what is it?"Jessica said

Luhan paused and mumbled to himself.''Can I tell you that I like you?"

"Of coarse,there's none.Why did you think so?"Luhan answerd after a few moments.

"Because you only eat cake when something is bothering you."Jessica replied

"No, it's not really like that. I'm eating a piece of cake right now because I'm craving for one." Luhan expalined

"Oh,come on,we both know you're lying!"Jessica stated while pouting.

"I am not!Okay?"Luhan said while pinching Kyla's cheeks.

From a distance,Donghae approached.Donghae is longtime lover and Luhan's best buddy.

"Hi babe,what's up bro?"Donghae greeted. :Yow!" Luhan greeted back.

"Are we going now?"Jessica asked her boyfriend.

"Going where?"Donghae asked confused.

"But...you promised..."

"That?"Donghae asked.

"*sigh* Never mind"she replied and flashed a forced smile.

"Okay,anyways,I have a practice game in the gym and I have to go." Donghae informed them and kissed Jessica's forehead.

"But.."Jessica said and frowned."

" I'll see you once we finish our practice."Donghae cut her off.

"Okay,take care...I love you..."Jessica said but Donghae didn't reply. Instead he just bid goodbye to the two.

Jessica felt a great ache from the inside and it's killing her.She's so disappointed on how Donghae actes coldly towards her.Donghae never acted like that before,he was actually a sweet loving boyfriend,and he will do anything to make his girlfriend happy; it's one of the reasons why Jessica fell in love with him. But the way he acted earlier made Jessica feel great pain. She remembered the day when Donghae promised her that he will never break her heart and wondered if he's still willing to keep that promise.

"I know Jessica that it's your birthday today and he promised to take you out." Luhan said in the moment Donghae was out of sight.

Jessica's tear fell down her cheek.

"Don't cry.You know how much I hate to see you cry.Maybe,he's just busy with important things. You know your boyfriend,don't you?" Luhan said and tried to comfort jessica."In fact there is no reason to be sad. I'm here,Jessica.I will make you happy if you will allow me to be with you on your special day." Luhan added while wiping Jessica's tears.

"Thank you for being always here for me,Luhan."Jessica said and took Luhan's hand.

"Stop crying okay? Always remember that  I love you so much" Yes,I really do.

"I know that you treasure me as your bestfriend and I'm thankful for that." Jessica replied and gave Luhan a sincere smile. Suddenly,Luhan grabbed Jessica's hand.

"What?" Jessica asked

"See that sign? It says that I shouldn't leave my valuables unattended ." He said,pointing to the sign posted on the wall.

Jessica was tounge-tied because of the sudden sweetness he showed and her heart beat so fast like there's no tomorrow.She looked down because she does not want to show him that she's blushing.Jessica forgot her problem with Donghae because she enjoyed Luhan's company so much.They watched a movie,ate at a fine restaurant,shared stories and may more.

'' Oh! It's 8:00 p.m I think we'd better go home ,your parents might already be looking for you." Luhan said.

"Okay." Jessica replied.They walked towards the exit of the mall when Jessica suddenly stopped.

" Jessica,is there something wrong?" Luhan asked. He noticed Jessica suddenly change. She looked pale and shocked. Luhan turned his head to the direction where Jessica was staring and saw his best buddy  busy kissing another girl.

Jessica began running away and her tears started to fall. She ran and ran ,minding neither the people she bumped into  nor Luahn's call. The only thing that kept on playing in her mind was the scene she saw at the parking lot.

 

*beeeeeeeeep*

 

She stopped and saw a car running towards her.

"Jessica!" Luhan shouted.Before the car had hit her,she felt a great weight toss her by the side.

"L- Luhan?" she said and started walking towards the bosy lying on the street.

"Please help us!! Call an ambulance,p-please!"

"J-Jessica...please stop crying...I-I said I don't want to see you c-crying!" Luahn uttered.

"*sob* P-please  stop talking,you're making your condition worse." she begged.

"J-Jessica listen .I...I want to tell you t-taht I-I love you,not only as your best friend but more than taht... J-Jessica,the first time I saw you,you managed  to make my heart beat fast... I fell so much happiness when I am with you,It's like I am nothing without you...J-Jessica,you complete me... I love you! Please always remember that." Luhan confessed.

At that very moment,she didn't know what to say. She  was shocked and didn't know how to react, and the only thing taht came to her lips was his name.

"*sob* Luhan...." she whispered

"I... I want you to do me a favor.. P-please be happy!" he said as he wiped the tears from Jessica's cheek.

"L-Luhan hold on...please," she begged him while crying.

"J-Jessica, I-I love you." he said as he slowly closed his eyes.

"No! Luhan,don't leave me! Luhan!" Jessica cried while hugging Luhan's now lifeless body.

 

Her tears rapidly made their way down her cheeks as she realized that he's now gone and everything is too late.∟∟∟
