Kyungsoo didn’t like the way he looked growing up. 

He always felt his shoulders were too narrow, his eyes were too wide, and overall that he was way too short.

Meeting Jongin didn’t really help with that feeling, not a first. 

No at first, it made Kyungsoo’s complex even worse because, if Kyungsoo was everything that could go wrong on a human being, Jongin was everything that could go right.

Tall, with striking features, and shoulders that were just perfect, not too broad or too narrow.  Just perfect. 

It was unfair really, how perfect he looked, and Kyungsoo finally, one day, told him so.

Jongin had just stared at first, and then he laughed, tilted his head back and really laguhed before leveling his gaze on Kyungsoo and shaking his head while saying that his legs were too long, and his skin was too dark, and his feet were ugly from dance, and that if anyone was perfect, it was Kyungsoo.

Kyungsoo whose skin was light and flawless, and whose voice could charm wood, and whose hand fit so perfectly in his that Jongin often forgot it was even there, and as Jongin took Kyungsoo’s hand and squeezed it to prove his point, Kyungsoo learned something new.

Nobody ever thinks they’re perfect.

But, somewhere in the world, there is someone that thinks you are.

And between the two of you, they’re probably the one that’s right.
