thou shalt not take the Lord's name in vain
the apostle markprologue
It was a perfectly normal Saturday morning when it happened.
The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and Jackson Wang woke up-- alone? His brain, sluggy and slower than usual, struggled to process this, his hands groping along the sheets looking for Mark's warmth, and finding absolutely nothing.
Nothing.
Nothing?
No, this wasn't right.
Woah, backtrack
Jackson never woke up alone on a Saturday, never
Blinking rapidly, he sat up and looked around the room, his gaze stopping on the unruly mop of red hair in the corner that could only belong to Mark Tuan.
Ah, there he is
Jackson peered through sleep-encrusted eyes at him, trying to decipher what he was seeing.
What's he doing on the floor?
He was... kneeling?
What the hell is going on?
Mark sighed in content, unfolded his hands (why was he holding hands with himself?) and lifted his head, catching Jackson's eye. His expression was the cutest blend of happiness, anxiety and guilt, and Jackson couldn't help but coo inside.
Wait, why would he be guilty?
"Jackson, we need to talk." Mark's voice was grave, yet excited.
Oh, , what did I do?
Unable to speak, he could only nod numbly at Mark as he sat down on the very egde of the bed. He gently grabbed Jackson's left hand.
"I've been thinking a lot lately about what I want to do with my life, and..."
"Jackson, I want to be a priest."
Blink. Blink. Blink.
"Jesus Christ."
Maybe he should've seen it coming.
