Love Arrived.
Description
Love arrives exactly when Love is supposed to and Love leaves exactly when Love must.
- Sarah Kay and Phil Kaye, "When Love Arrives."
Having fought tooth and nail to get to where they are now, Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye are finally enjoying the fruits of their hard work. But fame is not without its pitfalls as they now live their lives in a fishbowl. And with the prevalence of social media, it would seem that privacy becomes non-existent. What they eat, what they wear, where they go just spreads like wildfire on the internet.
It would seem that with such busy lives, they couldn't possibly fall in love.
Or could they?
Because he did. Hard.
She did too--but was too guarded, cautious, and jaded to even consider it at first.
This is a story of how he got her to say yes and the life that came after that.
Foreword
Don’t rush things. Anything worth waiting for is worth having.
I can’t do this anymore.
HIS HAND WAS TREMBLING AS HE HELD FAST TO THE MICROPHONE. He took a deep breath to try to calm himself down while the lights were just starting to fade in to gradually illuminate the stage. The all-too familiar sound of the piano marked the beginning of the song that he dreaded so much.
He was fine most of the fan meet--the upbeat numbers certainly helped boost his attitude considerably as all that choreography and movement gave him much-needed rush of endorphins. But as the concert mellowed down to give way to the more softer, more melodramatic side of things, the hollow ache in the middle of his chest returned and his mood took a turn for the worst.
Get a grip, he muttered to himself. It’s not like you haven’t sung this damn song before. He closed his eyes.
It’s just a song. One lousy song.
As soon as those thoughts took form in his head, he knew it was a lie. Because it wasn’t just a song, let alone a lousy one. It was never just a song to him.
And even more so now.
Now. When every word, hit so close to home. After what happened.
With her.
Still, he had a job to do. These people, these fans... he owes them everything. Without them, he would be nothing.
All he has to do is to sing this song. This one song.
Once again, he took a deep breath, and opened his eyes.
He raised the microphone to his lips, stared into the darkness towards the direction of the audience, and sang.
Hello readers! I originally had written something else here but my internet died on me and I have to start over. I have been a MinShin fan since the Heirs and have been an avid reader of fanfics for just as long. This was inspired by Lee Min Ho getting emotional during a recent fan meet. I wondered what the backstory could be. But of course, as a reminder-- this is a work of fiction. Names, characters, businesses, places, events and incidents are either the products of the author’s imagination or used in a fictitious manner. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental.
