BitterSweet

Description

Jiyong is bitter, jaded and losing hope. Life and love have kicked him in the teeth again and again. He's learned to stop reaching out, to keep his hands and his heart to himself. The only passion he trusts is his music.

To Seunghyun, life is sweet because he's lucky to have it. The accident when he was ten should have killed him. Instead, it took away his sight, plunging him into a world of darkness with only the memory of light and color. He doesn't let that get him down, though. Life is meant to be lived, not lamented.

When these two different men stumble into each others lives, will they be able to coexist? Can bittersweet love last? Or is it doomed to painful failure? And, if it is doomed, is that love worth it?

Foreword

I smiled at te warmth of the sun on my face. The October breeze was chilled, threatening snow, but the sun still shone down. As always, I reminded myself softly, under my breath,

"The sky is blue, the sun is yellow."

I folded my white cane back open and rose from the park bench I had been reclining on. It was time to head home, so I began tapping the tip of the cane on the ground in front of me to make sure I didn't hit anything as I walked. Being blind lets you excuse running face-first into a lamp post, but it doesn't make it hurt any less.
