No Matter the Universe
Description
Mark and Jackson have a tendency to meet each other, no matter what the universe is. From catastrophes to catboys to coffee shops, there is a version of the two that will find each other.
Foreword
A universe is a fragile, precious thing. Each one believes itself to be the first, the realest, the truest universe in its own way. And each one of them are correct to think so.
There are too many universes to count. They are vast, infinite, and unknowable. They are logical, systematic, and predictable.
Sometimes, they are just plan old silly.
No two universes are perfectly alike. There are always small differences, something off about each one that is unique to itself. But sometimes there are constants.
Maybe that oak tree will always be planted in the same place. Maybe this child will always die young, with changing circumstances.
Maybe these two people will always meet. Maybe they never will.
No matter the universe, no matter the circumstances, no matter the timeline, these constants will remain.
This is the story ( or perhaps stories?) of one such pair of constants. No matter how far apart they start, or how different they may be, the universe will have them meet.
Sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse.
