Just like every other Sunday afternoon, Luhana gets ready for her regular walks in the park. Glancing out the window she smiled in delight when she sees snow falling softly onto the rocky road. She skips down the hallway and runs to the front door. She quickly slips on her right boot, but stops with her left when she sees a pair of feet in her eyesight. Her eyes slowly travel up the lean legs and she was welcomed by a familiar face.

“I’ll meet you outside baby” That warm-smooth voice flows into her ears and sends a shock through her heart. Piercing it almost painfully, as she watches those broad-shoulders walk out the door. She releases as shaky breath as she slips on her other boot and makes her way out the door.

Luhana likes the way the snow makes a crunching sound under her boots with each step she takes. She pulls her hat over her numb ears and huffs out onto her hands. She mentally scolds herself for forgetting mittens again. She always does.

“Seems colder than yesterday, right?” That same voice snaps her back to reality and causes her to jump.

“You scared me!” She pouts as she crosses her arms and looks straight ahead. Her attempt to be mad at him was blown away with the winds when she hears that same loud laugh that makes her heart ache with happiness but also saddness. Luhana releases her arms and stuffs her hands because her fingers were screaming for warmth.

They walk sliently down the small pathway, and eventually take a left into a secluded park. There wasn’t anyone there other than the same homeless lady they met a couple of months ago. Luhana thought she was going to be a bother, but it turned out to be the complete opposite. They offer to give her money countless of times, but she would always refuse with the brightest of smiles.

“Good afternoon young lady” The old lady said, as she tightened the scarf around her neck. Luhana smiled, “A little cold, isn’t it?”

The lady laughs and a puffs of hot air circle around her face face before disappearing. “Yes, thankfully I found this coat,” the lady looks behind Maria for a second before looking straight into her eyes, “Where is the young man that comes with you? I haven’t seen him in a long time..”

Luhana felt like someone stepped on her chest. She see’s her boyfriend looking at her with a confused look. Luhana couldn’t do anything else but weakly smile at the old lady, “He’s a bit sick nowadays. But he’ll come and visit you soon”

She sees the lady’s eyes light up, “Oh thank god, I thought something bad happen to him. Well, tell Sehun to feel better! Have a good day”

Luhana nodds her head and continues to walk deeper within the snow-covered park.

“Come on! Don’t be a sore loser!” He yells over to Luhana. But she just shakes her head and looks the other way.

Instead of yelling, he chooses a more gentle approach, “Baby have some fun.” She looks down at him and sees him smiling up at her.

“Fine, but if I get sick its going to be your fault” She mumbles as she slowly gets on the ground. With a huff, she finally lays down and stretches her limbs outwards. She turns her head to the left and looks at her boyfriend, who is smiling like a idiot at her. “Doesn’t it feel nice”

Luhana couldn’t help but agree. It does feel nice feeling the soft snow mold with your body. They both lay there as they move their arms back and forth and their legs in and out.

After a while Luhana feels tired and just simply lays there looking up in the sky and staring at the snowflakes falling down.

“You know this is where we first met…” Sehun speaks calmly as he lovingly stares at Luhana’s profile, “It was snowing just like this. You also had the same hat on, the hat that looks so adorable on you”

Luhana blushes and smiles as she remebers that day as if it was yesterday.

“Then I told you that you’re a creep for calling my nose cute.”

He laughs, “I think the exact words were: So cute that I want to kiss it. Am I right?”

She feels another heavy step on her chest.

As they walk closer to the end of the park, Luhana’s chest gets heavier and heavier with each step she takes.

“We should go out to eat, I’m kind of hungry” She hears Sehun talk. She just hums, knowing that she can’t say yes. Even though her heart is screaming to do so, her brain is reminding Luhana that she can never say yes. Not anymore.

Just a few more steps and they would be out the park. She stops and Sehun questions her, “Whats wrong?”

She turns around and faces him. Luhana looks into those warm-brown orbs she grew to fall in love with. “Before, we leave…” She feels her heart squeeze tight and constrict, “I just want to say that I love you”

“I love you too baby, but  why are you acting weird? Almost like I’m going to leave you”  He walks up closer and she can almost feel his warmth breath spreading across her face.

“I would never leave you” he whispers and breaks into that heartbreaking smile that she loves with all her might.

And just like at the end of every Sunday walk, a wind picks up and blurs that smile away. It blurs the most important thing in her life. It takes the love of her life away from her. And no matter how many time she sees this happen, she couldn’t help but let out a painful sob.

“I know you won’t.”
