Hyun Yao was discovered when she did a cover for Thinking of You by Katy Perry on youtube, Cube Ent. called her up to audition live. Cube staff were impressed by Yao's stage presence and awesome rapping skills. Shortly after that, Yao signed a contract with Cube. At first, Yao had a hard time getting used to the schedule leading to missing practices or being late for them. This behavior cause a little problem for Yao with her company, Cube Ent. But because of her perseverence, she tried her best to force herself to get used to the busy schedule of practices. Yao trained for a good 3 years
