Girl

Hope

Ugly.
Loner.
Loser.
No one wants you here.
No cares about you.
No one loves you.
Go die.
The words they kept coming, but her face styed blank. No emotion. Acting like she didn't care, but she was slowly dyeing on the inside.
She didn't want them to see the pain.
She didn't want them to know that their words affect her.
She promised herself no one will see her cry. No one will know they hurt her. She will be invisible to them. Invisible to everyone.

New day.
New people.
Yet she was alone. No matter how many were around, she would always feel alone.
She sighed, watching people walking in and out of the café.
Everyday the same thing happened.
People would stare.
People would talk.
She would be invisible to everyone.
No one knows she is there.
She is no one, to anyone.
To everyone, she is the person who everyday sits in the same spot alone in silence.

Days passed.
Then weeks.
Until finally, one day she felt as if something was going to happen.
The day started off strange, yet peaceful.
It was if someone was telling her that today was different. It was going to be a good day. A day different from others.
She got up in a good mood. Showered. Dressed. Fixed her hair.
She actually felt pretty.
It was a first for her to feel that way.
She walked out of her apartment in confidence (Or with confidence) in herself.
She kept her head up instead of looking down.
She went into the café and ordered a different drink. A drink she wanted to try. Along with getting a drink she got a muffin.
She even smiled at the cashier.
The cashier smiled back. The cashier was glad that Hana was smiling and looking happy.
Was she happy?
Was this happiness?
She couldn't say. At least not yet.
She just felt like smiling.
She sat in the same spot near the window. Smiling as she sipped on her drink.
She wasn't the only usual in there, which they took notice of her smile and change in appearance.
Of course the smile, the confidence, everything that was going good didn't last long.
A drink was poured over her head. Humiliating her in front of everyone in the cafe.
She didn't know what to do, but what she did know was that she was not going to let them see her tears.
She sat there. Breathing in and out slowly as she stared straight ahead.
She knew everyone was staring at her. Some gasping as the act was being done, the others snickering.
This act was the reason why she stayed invisible to people.
After a fee minutes, Hana got up and walked out of the cafe.
She didn't know where she was going.
All she knew was she had to leave the cafe.
Leave the people who just watched and stared as a drink was being poured on her. Not caring who she was or why it happened.
Not trying to stop it.
To her, in truth, no one cared.
No one ever truly cared about her.
No one cared about anyone but themselves.
Once she found a secluded area, she sat down.
Tears finally fell from her eyes.
Where did humanity go?
Where did caring and being nice to people go?
It went down a dark abyss never to return.
There was no hope.
Hana had no hope left in her that people would actually care.
No hope at all.
