Alpha & Omega

His Eviction

Luhan pushes Sooyoung as she hits the concrete and dirty floor. Sooyoung's hands turns into balls of fist as she bit her lips hard, holding

back her tears. She doesn't want Luhan to know how weak she is or how hurt she is. So, she stood up. But even before she did, she falls

down again. On her knees, this time. Her skin tore off a little near her knees area. It hurts but, Sooyoung had to hold it all.

Sooyoung and Luhan are friends. Well, best friends. They met in Hyde Park, Sydney. Luhan were happily cycling around the

park when he saw Sooyoung sitting down on the ground, blowing the dirt off her knees and hands. 'She's hurt' Luhan thought. So he

went over to Sooyoung, 'Are you okay, miss?' Sooyoung who were so into blowing those chunks of dirt looked up at the voice. Luhan

smiled and lends her his right hand. Sooyoung looked at his hand and holds it to stand up.

'Thank you.' Sooyoung said and brushes her skirt off. Sooyoung smiled at him as she sets herself on her bicycle. 'Are you heading somewhere?'

Sooyoung asked after a long pause. Luhan gave that wide smile and shakes his head. 'Do you want to bike around? W-With me?' Sooyoung

give it a small thought and nods. So there it started. Everyday after class, they will bike around the park. Laughing and enjoying the

nature. They would chase each other and tease just to make one of them mad. It's always cute when one of them gets mad. Always.

After a year of friendship, Sooyoung finally decided to tell him. The bottled up feeling she've been feeling all those moments of joy,

happiness with him, she decided to open up to him about her feelings. Yes, she've been telling him stories about herself, her family,

her pasts; but not her real feelings towards him. Plus, Luhan has a girlfriend. It didn't bother Sooyoung that much that he has a

girlfriend and that he's owned by someone. But her feelings? She just wanted him to know. To at least understand. It was nothing;

just three words and an explaination of why she likes him is all she wanted to tell.

Sooyoung had a boyfriend when they first met. But that fella didn't bother much about Sooyoung and so, they broke up. Thanks to Luhan,

they broke up. Luhan stood up for Sooyoung, protecting her. Rather than lingering around that useless little rascal. Luhan got so mad

when he found out that Sooyoung's boyfriend didn't treat her right. 'If I were your boyfriend, I would never do that to you.' That was

when Sooyoung started to develop those tiny little feelings for Luhan.

'I like you.' Sooyoung said. Luhan looked at her with his puzzled face. 'Wha- Why?' Sooyoung replied with a smile and shrugs. 'I don't

know. I just do.' Luhan opened his mouth to say something but Sooyoung cuts off, 'It's okay. I was only telling you how I feel.

But really, friends is enough for me. More than that, I don't think I can handle it.' she says while shaking her head. Luhan was still confused.

It was their usual weekend night out every Saturday. And Sooyoung came up with a confession? It wasn't what he expected but that was

what he heard.

If you're confused then let me tell you; when Sooyoung met Luhan, both of them was in a relationship. Yes, both of them. But of course,

they mantain that friendship. But because Sooyoung told Luhan about his boyfriend, Kris, he decided to make her break up with him. It

was for her good anyway. And soon after that, Luhan broke up with Jessica. Both of them were in that dramatic sad shoes where they're

depressed of love. But, still have that little hands they could hold onto - friends.

Exactly half a year of their friendship, Luhan decided to dissappear. Not knowing how and why, he just, left. He left Sooyoung alone.

Well, at least to Sooyoung she was alone. Though the fact she have Taeyeon and Hyoyeon around to comfort her but she felt much more

comfortable with Luhan. Because, Luhan was always there when Taeyeon or Hyoyeon weren't there for her. Luhan came at the right time

every single time. It just makes Sooyoung feel even closer and closer.

When Luhan left, he sent his 'messenger' to Sooyoung. Who? Well, no other than, Xiumin. Xiumin is this cute little - okay not little - friend

of Luhan. He's kind of bubbly and easy to get along with. And funny. Can't forget that one. Xiumin was the one who listened to her stories

about Luhan. Some made him laughed and some didn't. But, Xiumin was there when Luhan left.

When Sooyoung did her usual ride in Hyde Park, Xiumin approached her. Well, she almost bang into him but luckily she didn't.

'Sooyoung?' Xiumin said as he scoffs. 'Yes? And who are you?' Sooyoung asked in a slight frown as she puffed her cheeks. Xiumin smiled

with his childish and cheeky little smile. 'I'm Xiumin. Luhan's friend.' Sooyoung raised her eyebrows when he said that. Because to her

surprise, she thought, everything was ending once Luhan left. But, oh well, Xiumin is here!

Day after day, Sooyoung try to keep in touch with Xiumin. Not that she likes him or anything but because she was hoping for Luhan

to come back. That was what she wanted. Because she knows, that there is always something interesting in Luhan that she can

dig into. She wants to know what lies behind that brown eyes, she wants to know what is hidden between that smile, she wants

to know what is kept in those amazing laugh he had; she wanted him.

And one day, Xiumin called Sooyoung.

'Hello?'

'Hi, Xiumin. Why'd you called?'

'Do you want to talk to Luhan?'

Sooyoung made herself shut for 30 seconds long before..

'Hi, Sooyoung.'

And when that voice crawls into her ears, she cried. Silently she muted the call and wipe her tears. She let the silence flood in and

made him wait. Not long after that, she place the phone near her ears and unmute.

'Hi, Luhan.'

She heard his smile. That smile that she missed so much.

'Hi. How are you?'

'I'm okay.'

'Good.'

'You?'

'Like usual.'

She nodded and bit her lip, holding back her tears.

'Okay.'

'Yeah, okay.'

And that was all. That was all he could say after a period of time he'd left Sooyoung, that was all he could do to Sooyoung, that

was all he was able to face her.

'Yah, yah, yah! Uljima~'

'Why are you speaking in Korean, Xiumin?'

'Cause I'm Korean- DO NOT CRY CHOI SOOYOUNG.'

'What else can I do, Xiumin? What else?'

'Hello, I am your oppa. It's Xiumin oppa.'

'Did Luhan said anything?'

Xiumin shook his head.

'Thought so.'

Xiumin pouted and hugged Sooyoung, comforting and reassuring her each time this came up. Xiumin dislike how Sooyoung could

say so much about Luhan because she doesn't really know him. But, she has points. Either way, he didn't like it. But what can he do?

Both of them just- yeah. It's complicated when one specific individual starts acting like a complete opposite of what that is intended.

Because, that individual will make others life miserable. Maybe not physically but emotionally and mentally. That is real pain.

❄  ❄  ❄  ❄  ❄  ❄  ❄  ❄  ❄  ❄  ❄  ❄  ❄  ❄  ❄  ❄  ❄  THREE     YEARS     LATER  ❄  ❄  ❄  ❄  ❄  ❄  ❄  ❄  ❄  ❄  ❄  ❄  ❄  ❄  ❄  ❄  ❄

Luhan place his rich Americano beside him on the bench, making a round-like smoke with his mouth as he looks around. He missed

this place. The place where he visited a lot the past years before he graduated. Now, he's a teacher. Teaching wasn't something

he'd ever developed to but he had to pay the bills.

It was early December and winter greets him with snowflakes. Beautiful yet cold. He picked up his drink and took a few sips before

his eyes turn to the lamp post. The day where he pushed Sooyoung and she fell. He remembered it so clearly like it was yesterday.

He replayed everything in his mind all over again like a tape.

He pushes her as she falls down on the concrete floor. His cheeks were heating because he was too mad at her. In his mind,

he thinks that she had played with his heart. He didn't believe her words. His mind was in a state where he can throw a full

blast of flame. He didn't think his own best friend would do this to him.

He glared at her when she stood up and falls down again. He knows she was crying but he didn't care at that moment. All he

think about was his heart being crushed. His warm breath beneath his beige-colored shawl fastens as his chest move

upwards and inwards. He bit his lips and Sooyoung speak up.

'I had no intention to hurt your feelings. I was just trying to see how you think about me-'

'By acting as someone else? Please-'

'Because I know you hide so many things from me. Whereas I, openly tell you everything.'

'It's your own problem.'

'My own problem?!'

He looks at her, tears flowing down her cheeks like waterfall. He wanted to comfort her, he did. But he just felt like his

heart was more important at that moment. He gave her that evil smirk on his face.

'Psh. You're crying? Go ahead. You know what? You are so ugly, it annoys me. You think I like you? Well, think again.

Your face is just- get away from me.'

He turns his back on her and walks away. He didn't turn back to look, he didn't bother to hear if she wanted to say anything.

He left her hanging and, he left.

Luhan could only sigh when he played it all back. He stood up and walked to the lamp post, looking up to the lamp post carefully.

'Hi.'

He look up to the voice and, it was Choi Sooyoung. The girl he once left, the girl he once avoided, the girl that

he once insulted, the girl that he had so many thoughts on and the girl that he wanted to be with. It didn't come to a surprise to him

that she was there. He knew how much she loved this place. This place where it started everything that they are now.

'Hello.'

She smiled. He missed that. He loved her smile. It is indeed the prettiest thing she can do. Because, she is beautiful. She walked a

little closer and wave happily at him. He responded with a light smile. Guess, his coldness didn't turn off since summer.

'How I missed you, Luhan.'

'I missed you too.'

'You remembered this place?'

'It is your all-time favorite place, of course I remembered.'

'Guess you haven't forgotten me then.'

'Silly.'

She laughed. And there they are, standing opposite each other with a lamp post in between. It was quite a nice view to watch.

It's winter, everything is beautiful and white on winter.

He missed her.

She missed him.

But it wasn't for long. She made another mistake of trying to get the answer from the past and, it blew him off. He didn't like it.

He just hated for whatever reason he had done to say such mean things to her. She was wondering and she wanted an asnwer.

But, he didn't want to and they fell into this huge conflict where no questions are allowed between the two of them. It is, still

complicated. Too much of a fuss for so-called best friend.

And in Hyde Park is where it all begins like the Alpha and ends like the Omega.
