Hi, my name is Jung sooyeon - or in english, Jessica Jung. I pretty much live an ordinary life as a korean teenage girl living in the states. 

This is me:

My dream is to become a kpop star as I excel in singing. My dancing skills aren't too bad, but people say my singing is perfection. I don't know if thats true, but i hope so... 

Compared to singing and dancing, I probably lack at the looks department. I want to be pretty, but I'm definitely not getting plastic surgery. I have confidence in myself... ish. 

Anyway, today is the day that I'm going to be auditioning to get in SM entertaiment. I thought long and hard, and i loved YG. But Sm... I just felt that it was where I belonged. 

"Miss Jung Jessica, please go inside," said a female employee, pointing to the door.

This was it. This was my chance. Enhale, exhale! I can do this, fighting!

As I walked into the room, the judges greeted me with their friendly and not so friendly smiles. 

"Annyong. Please introduce yourself," said one of the judges.

I nodded. "Annyonghaseyo, Jung Sooyeon imnida. I am 16 years old and my specialty is English. I will be singing for today."

"OK. You may start."

I took a deep breath and began. 

"My reflection was in the window of the train I boarded in the new town.

My eyes seemed uneasy.

You taught me not to forget my true self
I wonder if you’re even shining now

The flowing scenery made me take a deep breath.

And looking up the sky’s horizon

I hear your voice."

"Kamsahamnida," I said, bowing.

*clap clap*

"Thank you for auditioning for SM entertaiment. We will call you in atleast a month for the results." the male judge said.

I walked out of the SM building with such confidence.. such confidence that I had never ever felt before. I just couldn't believe that I had auditioned for S.Korea's biggest music company! 

- A month later - 

"Oh wow. The scenery is perfect," I said to my best friend, Kim Sae Hyun.

Kim Sae Hyun:

"Yeah, I know right. Let me take a pic of that." 

*phone rings*

"Yoboseyo?" i answered

"Hello. This is SM Entertaiment,"

OMO!!!!!!!! AH! I felt a rush of excitement come upon me. "Y-yes. Okay."

"Just to let you know that sorry, we have not accepted you to be part of SM entertaiment. Thank you for auditioning and have a good day." they coughed and ended the call.

I dropped the phone and stared into space. Have I been expecting too much? Probably...
