Her voice was gone, her body was tired and her ankle was sprained. It’d been braced and she’d been limping for three hours already. Now, she was waiting for him to come- there is a supposedly-date-night but it’d ruined and she was pouting. He came and was shocked by her sight. Calmly, he crouched down, giving her his back and startling her. “Come, get on my back,” he insisted and she carefully followed. She thanked him in her restrained voice while he hummed back a lullaby in response. “Get some sleep,” and he smiled as she nuzzled into his neck.
