Description

This is a story about a woman, a man and how their presence in each other’s lives became the best surprise that destiny had to give.

Foreword

Emotions ran high as two souls sat by the edge, hands laced as they stared far into the sunset.

"There's hope for you. She still loves you."

He raised an eyebrow when she broke their uncomfortable silence, turning his head slightly before replying, "He loves you too."

"He doesn't want me anymore." She simply chuckled before she tore her eyes away from the majestic sun that slowly said goodbye, tears forming in the corners of her eyes once more, "He doesn't want me."

Without another second wasted, he engulfed her in a tight hug, pulling her close to chest with hopes that his warmth and closeness conveyed to her that he was there with her and that she wasn't alone. It wasn't long before soft sobs could be heard, his shirt slowly turning damp.

"She still loves you and she wants you." She muttered in between sobs, keeping her eyes closed as tears streamed freely down her cheeks, "He doesn't want me anymore. Even after I fought to tell him to make it up to me because I love him, he pushed me aside and told me that he didn't want me-"

"But I want you. I love her, yes, but I want you right now. No one else because you're the only person whom I have right now."

He cut her off, reassuring her that he would be there till death does them part; like how 'twins' would be.

"We're too broken."

"I know. I wish it was you instead."

"I wish the same."

"Let me learn to love you. Do you mind if I do?"

"I don't mind it one bit. Let's learn together."

"I love you."

"And I love you.

Happy birthday! I love you. Don't forget that. Ever. Wait for me, okay?"

"And I love you.

I miss you.

Where are you?

You promised.

I miss you so much.

Please come back.

I need you.

I hate you.

You're heartless.

I love you. Don't forget that.

Just come back and tell me you love me. Just once more. I promise I won't ask for anything anymore.

I hate you for leaving without a goodbye.

I love you. I love you, forever."

And just like that, he didn't want her anymore.

In the loving memory of the man that had taught me how to live, love and cherish.
I love you, Lucas. Always had and always will.
