There are many things that we can’t see with our eyes. The reality to us is that humans are the most powerful beings walking in the face of the earth. But from my experience, humans are the most vulnerable beings in this world. Don’t get me wrong, I am a human-just a little different from others.

 My name is Han Jisoo, 17 years old and a senior student of K Academy. I am an ordinary student with an ordinary life. Well…until I met him.

My life turned into a different direction when I was forced to accept his offer. And now, I’m bound to be his Watcher.

Prologue 

Sehun swung his sword as hard as he could as he jumped from the bridge. The gigantic slimy green ‘thingy’ split into two then vanished with the ray of light. He stood, slightly wincing from the pain of landing on the ship’s roof. The sword in his hand disappeared. The mark of black chains on his right arm returned.

“Why are Phantoms popping out like mushrooms lately? And they’re larger than usual this time” the guy beside Sehun asked. His sword also disappeared as the mark of chains re his shoulder. Sehun looked at him. He noticed violet colored spots on his friend’s hand. “You’ve been stung, are you okay?” he asked, still looking at his hand.

The brown haired, shorter guy lifted his hand then smiled. “This? This is just a scratch. This will heal immediately with the water from the Spring”

Sehun snorted then looked at the city. “What’s wrong?” the other guy asked, also looking at the city being drowned by darkness. Sehun shrugged. “Nothing. It’s just that…it’s going to be a long night”

“It seems like it”

Sehun sighed. “Luhan”

“Hmm?” the brown haired guy turned to him, lips pursed. Sehun smiled as he shook his head. “Nothing…let’s go” he said before jumping from the ship’s roof. In a blink of an eye, he was already at the bridge. Luhan followed him immediately.

“Ya, is your girlfriend okay?” Luhan asked with a tiny hint of playfulness in his tone. “She’s not my girlfriend” Sehun answered calmly much to Luhan’s disappointment.

“I haven’t seen her for years” Luhan sighed, still following Sehun.

Sehun snorted. “Years my . You did not see her for only a day and you’re saying that it’s for years?”

“It’s a form of expressing my self, you stupid. Besides, I can’t help but be curious of her everytime we meet. It’s the first time that I’ve encountered a Human like her. She’s special”

Sehun stopped, turning to the setting sun.

“Yeah, she is special”
