Seven Days in Heaven

Description

Deja Vu:
"Tedious Familiarity.
Already Seen.
The strong sensation that an event or experience currently being experienced has been experienced in the past, whether it has actually happened or not."

When I first turned 18 years of age, I had researched this topic immensely. I always had the feeling that I was reliving something from my past but not a single professor, doctor, therapist, friend, or family member could puzzle it out. By the time I had graduated university, my only assets were the 4 year degree in religion in my hand and my ability to see apparitions. Well, one apparition.

I would often see him slip past the waving white curtains of my bedroom and watch as his colors spilled and fused with the pale light of the moon. I would feel the bed shift beneath me as his ethereal figure climbed onto the surface and I would hear the soft creak of the mattress pressing against the bed frame as he neared closer. Probably more haunting is the voice I would hear right next to my ear. His voice was soft and delicate, almost too smooth to listen to, and he would always whisper the same things right before I'd fall asleep.

Seven different names and then his own.

Do you remember me now?

Frozen. Paralyzed. I'd stay in my half-awake state, my eyeballs frantically searching the room for a sign of life that would never show. I would open my mouth to answer, but it always felt too dry. The names he'd murmur made me dizzy with confusion until all I could feel was a hollow pit in my stomach, ready to collapse inside me.

Every night it would be like this. Every night he whispered the same thing and my answer would never change.

I go by Myungsoo now. Kim Myungsoo.

Kim Myungsoo. Now where have I heard that name before?

Author note: If you are looking for light and fluffy, you've come to the wrong place. As mentioned in the tags, it is a supernatural themed story but the only beings I use are ghosts and humans. Themes such as religion, , history, and mental illness will be touched upon. If you are sensitive to any of these triggers, I apologize in advance (but don't say I didn't warn you).

This story itself will be focusing on different periods of history with an influx of face-claims. I don't expect this to become popular at all, but if I do manage to get a subscriber or two, I'd like them to have a say in the face-claims that will inevitably arrive later on. I'm hoping this experience will allow you to escape to another world as well as different historical time periods.

Finally... There will be romance, and there will be but neither are the main focus of the story.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. If you have any suggestions, feel free to let me know.
