The Moving Castle

Description

Hello, newcomer here~
First of all, this story is NOT mine, it's written by the wonderful Diana Wynne Jones.
I'm not altering the story whatsoever, i do not want to ruin it by doing so, the only changes you'll see are the characters names.
This story is pretty much the Bangtan version of Howl's Moving Castle, if you haven't notice yet.

It's my favorite book ever, so i wanted to share it and of course change some characters.
Some of you might not like it as much as me, but please give it a try, i'm sure it won't disappoint.
I hope you enjoy this as much as i did the many times i saw the movie and read the book.
[if you did watch the movie & didn't read the book keep in mind that the movie was
loosey based off of the novel.]

Foreword

Sophie has the great misfortune of being the eldest of three daughters, destined to fail miserably should she ever leave home to seek her fate.
But when she unwittingly attracts the rage of the Witch of the Waste, Sophie finds herself under a horrid spell that transforms her into an old lady.
Her only chance at breaking it lies in the ever moving castle in the hills: The Wizard Yoongi's castle.
To untangle the enchantment, Sophie must handle the heartless Yoongi, strike a bargain with a fire demon, and meet the Witch of the Waste head-on.
Along the way, she discovers that there's far more to Yoongi and herself than first meets the eyes.

Chapter 5: Hmm, interesting... I wonder what Yoongi is hiding? And Hoseok being so annoyed LOL. I wonder if Sophie will find anything out about the supposed girls and their hearts, or about Calcifer's contract...

It becomes more evident with every chapter that comes out, I think, that this is a rewriting of the book with very little change to the characters other than their names. Maybe that's just me though- because I feel that when I read this story I'm not reading about Yoongi and Hoseok at all. Their personalities (at least, the way I imagine them to be) are very different from the roles that they've been casted in, but their actions and speech in this story don't reflect that. While I don't know what the original book says, I imagine that much of the dialogue and the actions of the characters are the same as the book, when I believe that Yoongi and Hoseok would react differently to the same situation.

That being said, this is still a story that I enjoy reading and I will continue to read. I'm just putting that out there.

Thank you for the updates! You honestly do write so quickly :D don't worry about taking your time, as long as you're happy with the chapter!

Great job, keep writing~

Chapter 2: IM SCREAMING

I've followed you on tumblr for a while but I didn't know you wrote! ...wait or do you have a drabble blog somewhere that I somehow didn't link with you-

ANYWAYS. This is a lovely story! I really like how people are aware of the fairy tale patterns and how Sophie in particular feels trapped by them, and I'll be honest- I hadn't watched Howl's Moving Castle in a really long time so it's like reading an entirely new story all over again- although I did think when she was speaking to hats she was putting a spell on them.

I'm still wondering why the Witch of the Waste took revenge on her for making hats? I guess I'm in the same boat as Sophie because I can't think of a thing that Sophie did to infringe on the Witch of the Waste's territory- unless she's just jealous of Sophie's power? I honestly don't remember how it worked in the original either omg-

AND THE MENTIONS OF JIN AND NAMJOON AND WHAT AND I JUST- IS JIN ACTUALLY DEAD- WHAT- /freaks out for no real reason/

I'm excited to see Yoongi hehehehe :D

And don't think that you're slow, I think you're updating relatively quickly. Once a week is still fast by my standards, especially considering the quality of writing and the length of the chapters. Take your time! Don't feel like you have to rush updates.

I'm really loving this story, I can't wait to see what happens next!

Great job, keep writing~
