And Every After

This Morning

        BEEP. BEEP. BEEP. BEEP.

The alarm clock blared out its morning wake up call, dragging Kyungsoo from a deep sleep. Flopping his legs over the edge of the bed, he pushed himself into a sitting position and winced as a dull pain resounded through him. His legs felt kind of weak and he was sore in places he wasn't used to being sore in. Wobbling his way to the mirror in the bathroom, his appearance told him exactly what he had suspected. He'd had a rough- but not necessarily unpleasant- night.

His hair, sticking up in every angle imaginable, perfectly accentuated his swollen lip and the red mark just below his ear. A hickey?  Straining his memory, Kyungsoo tried to force the face back into the forefront of his mind, only coming up with whispered words and the ghost of fingers on his skin. He shivered. They'd obviously had a good night together, whoever it was, and in a way he wished he could remember. It wasn't like he was the type to have one night stands, and the idea kind of bothered him. He wasn't like Chen, by any means.

That was when it hit him. Chen, who told stories of sneaking out of rooms in the early hours of the morning without so much as a word, would never take a partner back to his home. But he was definitely in his own bathroom. Which meant that they'd spent the night at his house. Which meant...

The bed in the other room creaked and Kyungsoo's eyes grew wider that he thought they could go. There was somebody in his bed still.

How had he not noticed that?

Anxiously, he cracked the bathroom door, peeking through the small gap he'd created at the lump in his covers. An arm swung off the side of the bed and a dark brown haired head stood out starkly from the white pillowcase that it was pressed against. The figure under the blankets stretched, squirming around and wiggling his in the air before rolling over and blinking groggily.

Kyungsoo slammed the door shut, cringing at the loud noise he'd unintentionally made.

Memories from the night before came back to him in fragmented pieces just detailed enough to bring a blush to his face.  The face of the man in his room, filled with ecstacy. Rapid paces, bruising fingers of passion. Chocolate swirls and- Kyungsoo covered his mouth with both hands and suppressed a shocked laugh as one last memory popped up. He shook his head, covering his mouth with both hands to suppress a giggle. Had he really done that?

A knock sounded through the room, interrupting his musing.

"Kyungsoo-hyung? Are you in there?" The voice on the other side of the door was soft and calm. He had a sudden urge to open the door and look at its owner. It's slightly owner.

Ignoring the state of his hair, Kyungsoo turned the doorknob so that he was standing face to face with Jongin.

Yes, that was his name. Jongin. A much better name that the one his friends called him.

A smile tugged at the corner of his lips as he took in the sleepy-eyed face, ruffled hair, and checkered boxers. Not to mention the lack of shirt. That was nice.

"Good Morning," Jongin stated, an amused expression plastered onto his face that said he remembered more than Kyungsoo did. He took in the older's stiff posture and crazy hairstyle. "I don't know if you're up for it, but do you wanna go get breakfast?"

Kyungsoo took in the whole of the man. The smirk on his face failed completely to hide the tentative expression in his eyes or the slight tremble of nerves in his voice when he spoke. It had been a while since they'd met, after all.

"I'd love to," he replied warmly. The first genuine smile he'd seen yet broke out across Jongin's face like the sun breaking out from behind clouds on a rainy day.

"Of course..." Jongin raised an eyebrow. "I need a shower first," Kyungsoo said with a wink, hooking one finger in the hem of his boxers and drawing him forward.

The bathroom door clicked closed behind Jongin, and Kyungsoo led the way to the shower. He didn't say it aloud, but he looked forward to many more mornings like this one.
