A/N: I was pretty tipsy anf angsty when I wrote this.
Chapter 1: I didn't realize how much I wanted a TaengSic fic like this until I read this. I'm so weak for character-centric fics, especially when it comes to Taeyeon, because she has so much going on under that "kid leader" exterior. And you captured that so well. Our head canons of Taeyeon/TaengSic are so similar. I'm usually not a fan of first person, but you make it work really well here.
Your writing style is beautiful :) There are so many lines that I like, but this paragraph in particular is exquisite: "Happiness. It was the place where passion, with all its dazzle and drumbeat, met something softer, homecoming and safety and pure sunbeam comfort. It was all those things, intertwined with the heat and the thrill, and it was as bright within her as a swallowed star." Love love love!
I think them using alcohol as an escape is very fitting, I can see that happening (sadly). And like stationrm said, I'm happy they have--not necessarily a happy ending, but that they end up with each other. Addictions aren't healthy, but at least they have each other to turn to rather than a bottle. If you write beautiful things like this when you're tipsy, then I hope you drink more :P As long as not to TaengSic's extent here.
Also, is it weird that I find it almost cute when Jessica calls Taeyeon "dumb "? God, I'm so whipped for these two, haha.
Chapter 1: TaengSic! Although this angst storyline is one of typical TaengSic but I still love it. "For Jessica, she heads to the bottle and I, to Jessica.", "That’s the thing about an addiction or habits, you either quit them or they kill you first. And I’ll be damned if I’ve got the self control to quit a girl like her." It's kinda dark story but they still have their happy ending or maybe not yet ending but they have each other, that's what counts. Taeyeon and Jessica. Your one shots never failed to amuse me. One might request for sequel but I think one shots have its own charm. Yours are one of them! I might come back reading this whenever I think of TaengSic lol. Thank you Vacants!
