She held my wrist and pulled me outside of the car. We walked towards a door where two big men were standing in front of it. The two men were wearing black muscle shirt that their muscle used to shape the shirt. They crossed their arms upon seeing us walking in front of them. She is still holding my wrist, as she whispered to the one of the two muscle men in front of the door. Then, they step aside and let us in. We entered the room making me startled by the loud music that hit my ear drums. It's dark but small blinking lights making it bright. I can see at the center of the room a big round ball with glasses making small lights reflect on it. Different disco lights are also visible in it. This room isn't the typical four cornered room i always go to but, it is a room where a lot of people enjoying the pleasures of the world in one night. She continued to pull me slowly and she slowly excuses us from the people that block our way leading into the corner with a round-shaped couch. She led me there and I seated looking at her going to the counter across the island dance floor where I could see different people having their bodies rub to each other. I turned my gaze to the couples dancing, not just dancing but doing a dirty dance. Others are kissing, kissing like there's no tomorrow. I returned my gaze to her and found she was bringing two glasses of drinks. When she reached our table, she put the two glasses on it and she sat beside me. I still can't take off my gaze from her.

"This would make you better. Just enjoy this night, and forget about him. You didn't loose anything, instead he is the one who has lost you!" She chuckled offering me the other glass she brought.

My thoughts wanders inside this room where many are enjoying. Honestly, I am not used to this kind of place but somehow, I felt to be trying it once.

I tasted the drink she gave me. I winced from the taste of the drink. I heard her laugh.

"Not used to it huh? Isn't it your first time here?"

"Ye...Yeah... I am not used to this place Sunny, I didn't know, you've been here before I knew it." I rub my lips with back of my hand.

"That's why I brought you here Kim Taeyeon. I don't want my best friend would be the last to know that her best friend goes to club behind her back." She laughs covering a lady like making her eyes turned to moon like shape.

I was brokenhearted that is why she brought me here, she wants me to forget everything about him.

Hours have passed and we consumed glasses after glasses of tequila. We chatted about nonsense and laughed at corny jokes. That is because we feel that we are already drunk. I laughed at her best aegyo making me lean to her shoulder while I was tapping my thighs. I could not deny that I am her number one fan when she does her aegyo. She stopped, and stared at me making me stop also.

I wondered why she stopped but our eyes meet each other. I lifted my head out of her shoulder and I looked straight to her. Those brown eyes captured me, making me melt like an ice cream. I put my hands on her shoulder and her face was coming close to mine. Until the tips of our nose rubbed each other, she tilted her head to get a better angle. Then, I didn't expected it, our lips collide. That feeling of her lips gave me a relief that made me close my eyes. Then suddenly her hands reached my shoulder and she put a force on it making me pushed backwards. Our lips departed.

"This isn't right Taeyeon." While i caught her gaze like she was feeling guilty about the kiss.

"Uh...uhm.."I couldn't say anything, I noticed that she stands up and walked out. "Sunny... Wait! Where are you going?!" I followed her until we reached outside. 

"I think we better go home."

 We are seated at the back of Sunny's car. She told her driver to drive me back to my house. As we travelled, we were silent. I looked at her and she was just staring straight. As if she was not drunk. I felt dizzy, my eyes are almost closing and there, i lost my senses.

I slowly opened my eyes and covered my face with my hands. The light is striking my eyes. It's too bright. Then, I slowly slid my hands down from my face, then I noticed a blur image of a lady standing in front of my sight. She is standing in the balcony, then I realized, i was not sleeping in my own room. It is Sunny's.

"Hello there. You slept in the car last night and I don't have a choice but to let you sleep in my own room in my own bed." She said as she sat next beside me.

"Ya! Don't blame me for sleeping in your room. And it isn't my fault to get drunk you know."

She laughed at my words. "Just kidding Taeyeon, you are my best friend, and I am used to it. That you always having sleepover here."

"Yeah. I know Sunny." I looked at her and Smiled.

I lifted my body to be seated on the bed and folded my legs making my chin resting on my knees. She turned her eyes at the floor as if she wants to tell something.

"Uhm... Taeyeon, about last night...I..."

"It's okay Sunny. I know you didn't mean it. I am sorry." I interrupted.

She looked at me and smiled weakly and nodded. "Yeah, I am sorry."

"Taeyeon shi!" My friend's voice startled me as she called my name.

I turned my back to respond to her "Ne Sunny?" 

She was with a guy, i didn't know who it was until they walked towards me. "Taeyeon shi, this is Baekhyun."

The guy bows his head at me and rubs his head shyly. "Hello, I am Baekhyun. Sunny noona's friend."

"Hi, I am Taeyeon. Nice to meet you." I offered my hand to him. Despite his shyness, I find him cute. I could never prevent myself from smiling.
Sunny nods at me and walks backwards.

"Ehem!" She said as she walks backwards, "I think I should go. Hehehe."

I felt my cellphone vibrated and found out that Sunny texted me.

"He told me that he likes you. I hope that you two would get to know each other more." ;-)

From that day, I never wasted Sunny's effort for me. I know and I believe with all my heart that she was trying to make me happy. So, as payment, I want her to know that I was happy with knowing Baekhyun. Three months since Sunny introduced Beakhyun to me. I enjoyed being with him, and I turned to be falling in love with him. After three months of getting to know each other. We dated and we are happy that we spend our free time with each other. We eat together during lunch and after class, we go to our favorite cafe to talk about our day at school. We enjoyed each other's company, and after six months we were getting more closer and in love with each other. We had spend money to buy for couple stuff as a sign of our love for each other. 

Within the six months spent with Baekhyun, I realized that I hadn't seen my best friend anymore. I started to wonder what keeps her busy.

"Baekhyun, I haven't seen Sunny since we dated. I messaged and informed her about us. She told me that shes happy for the both of us."

I noticed Baekhyun, was silent when I opened up about Sunny.

"Noona, i want you to tell something." He bows his head.

"What is it?"

"Sunny noona, isn't only my friend, but she's my half sister. We are blood related. We only have one father."

"What?! She hasn't told me anything about you. Why did she do it?"

"She wants to protect me. Because my classmates may bully me when they get to know that I am the second child of the CEO of the biggest company in the country. We lived in a different house but we see each other often. She didn't treated me as her half brother, but she gave her love for me as if we were full siblings. Please noona, don't tell others that I told you about my identity."

I sighed upon Baekhyun's revelation and smiled, holding his hand, "I will. You are blessed to have a noona like her. I am proud to say that she is my best friend. And as her best friend, I will also protect you as well as our relationship."

"Sunny, you changed a lot. What did you do? You are getting skinny. Are you not eating? You should eat more." I said as we are having lunch at our favorite cafe.

She smiled at me answering "Maybe because of the school projects that keeps me busy at school Taeyeon."

"But I haven't seen you. Please be more careful about your health Sunny." I said

"Yeah, because dad wants me to focus more on my studies so he wants me to go home immediately. He prohibited me to go in any place. Aside this time, because you invited me." She answered.

"But you didn't tell me about you and Baekhyun." I opened up.

She widened her eyes from my news "You knew already?"

"Yes Sunny, but don't worry, I'll keep it a secret."

"Okay then." She glances at her watch as if she was hurrying for an appointment.

"Taeyeon, maybe I should go. Thanks for inviting me, to hang out with you for a bit and I appreciate it." She said holding my hand. She stands up and getting her purse from the table.

I watched my best friend walk away and before she could pass through the cafe's exit, I saw her fall to the ground. I ran to her and came to her rescue.

A year and a half later after she was diagnosed with severe stage of lung cancer, here she is now, lying on her own bed. With some medical apparatus connected to her body. A small tube was connected to her nostrils. These tubes were the only thing that keeps her alive.

What about me? Here I am, watching over her. I was sitting in a chair beside her bed waiting for her to wake up. It's weekend, so I could watch over her the whole day. Sunny was not able to go to school now since her illness made her not to. After class, I immediately go home and change my clothes and bring some extra clothes to Sunny's house. Yes, I have been always having sleepovers at Sunny's house before but that's when I need her by my side. Right now, I sleep over her room because I know she needs me by her side.

She is deeply sleeping. I looked at her, from head to toe, there's a big change that happened to her body and to her face as well. She has lost her hair, caused by the chemo, her cheekbones are visible, her skin is pale, her body is thin. I couldn't prevent my tears from falling. I covered my mouth crying so that she wouldn't able to hear me. 

"Please don't..." A weak voice interrupted me. She lifted her body. I still couldn't prevent my tears.

I immediately wiped my eyes and nose when I heard her. "Good morning my Sunny." I smiled at her with tears still visible in my eyes.

"Please don't cry Taeyeon, I hate to see you cry. I don't want to see you sad." I looked at her and she smiled weakly at me. I nodded also.

"I am sorry Sunny, I didn't want you either, but I couldn't help it."

"Don't be sorry Taeyeon. I just want you to be happy always." She lifted her hand with all her might and wiped my tears.

"I lied Taeyeon, about you not seeing me, during the time you were dating Baekhyun." She stopped to catch her breath. "I always tell stories about you to him and because of that, he started to like you. That is why I introduced him to you." She again stopped.

"After that I discovered that I have been suffering from asthma. It is in our line. My mother died, because of it. But I never thought, that it would come to this that it will lead to a severe illness. So I started the medication." She coughs, then i rubbed her back. "I am happy knowing that you are happy with Baekhyun, the message you sent me, was a relief. It was like I need not to worry about you, because, Baekhyun is there to be with you, while I am having my medication, I am confident that he can take care of you." She catches her breath.

Hearing Sunny's faithful words,I realized that she wants Baekhyun to take over her as not only as my boyfriend, but as my best friend as well. Again, my tears are streaming down my cheeks. She slowly lies down and I assisted her still, tears falling from my eyes. Sunny is so strong, even despite her condition, she never cried. I never really saw her cry.

"Do you remember that stupid Sungmin dumped you?! I really wanted to kill him because he hurt you. But instead, you didn't let me. You were strong Sunny, and until now, I could still see that in you." I told her.

She just smiled. I hugged her leaning my chin to her shoulder making my torso at her top. I looked up and I realized that she was staring at me.

"Taeyeon?" She said.

"Yes Sunny." I answered.

"Can you please elevate my headrest?"

I responded and turn the gear where her head elevates. After that I have set her headrest elevated, I returned to my sitting position.

"Thank you Taeyeon." She forced a smile at me.

"You're welcome my best friend." I smiled also at her holding back my tears. "You better eat your breakfast now, okay?" 

She nodded slowly. I went down and headed to the kitchen to prepare her food. I couldn't not hold it back anymore, I cried. I was crying while slicing some vegetables for her soup. I imagine that if someone sees me, that someone would surely laugh at me. I finished preparing and I went back to her room.

"Here Sunny." She took a sip on the soup I made for her.

She puts down the remote after scanning the channels in the television. She placed it at her side and sighed. I noticed it.

"Is there anything you need Sunny?" I asked.
 
She just shook her head. She was silent. No words would ever come out from . She looked at me, that look, I remember a year ago, the look that almost makes me melt. But it was different, I can see in her weak eyes the sincerity of her emotion. The love she had for me, for her family. 

I was startled when I saw her eyes. Her eyes producing water droplets. Finally, I saw her cry. I saw her cry for the first time. Should I congratulate myself for seeing my best friend crying for the first time? No!

Oh! My eyes are also wet. I am crying too. I seated beside her on the bed, then I moved closer to her. Our foreheads leaned to each other. The tips of our nose clash.

We giggled at our position. "Isn't it funny? Were crying, yet we're laughing." I said.
We stayed on that position until words came out from .

"I love you Taeyeon." She closed her eyes and smiled. 

I rested my head to her shoulder and hugged her tightly while crying. "I love you too Sunny."

Her arms, slowly covered me, realizing, that she was hugging me also, then she whispered to my ear, "Please take care of Baekhyun. Okay? I told him also to do the same with you.........I told him to protect you....... for me." she stops to catch a breath. "I love you my best friend...... Taeyeon." She said softly at my ear. 

"Thank you, Sunny." I answered at her ear. "You know what? If you were just a man, I would probably fall in love with you. And when that happens, I would be the luckiest girl in the world. Loved by the most handsome and sweetest person ever. But even if that didn't happened and will not happen, I am still deeply in love with you, as my best friend." I chuckled.

She just chuckled weakly and started to whisper at my ear, "Can you sing for me?" She asked still leaning her chin at my shoulder.

I simply nodded, "I know this song, is familiar to you, but I find the lyrics to be best suited for our friendship, though, it's a love song. Okay, here I go......."

I feel her arms are loosing now from their tight hug in me. Her hands are sliding at my back.

"Sunny ah, did you like it?" I asked.

I slowly faced her because I received no response. I found out that she was closing her eyes. I thought she just fell asleep. But I felt something, I felt that shes not breathing.

"Sunny?"I whispered tapping her cheeks softly. But she didn't wake up.

"Sunny, its not funny... Please don't make jokes at me." As my tears were starting to stream down.

"Sunny please..." 

Then I burst out crying, knowing that she would never ever wake up again.

I and Baekhyun were standing in front of Sunny's grave. I lean on his shoulder and he wrap his arm around my shoulder.

"I promised noona that I will protect you, no matter what happens. She even told me not to hurt you as how Sungmin hyung hurt her." 

"Look at her eye smile, it always reminds me of her efforts to make me happy. She really never forgets about me even she knows she's leaving." I added.

"Her death is the saddest part of my life, yet, the reason why I should go on with this life. She taught me to appreciate life, to treasure my friends and loved ones and most of all, to love unconditionally." I sighed but smile a formed on my face.

We turned our direction and walked away from my best friend's grave. But we do not want her memory to be erased,but instead we brought it with us. Memories of her, my true best friend, Sunny, that will stay in our hearts forever.
