“For God’s sake, Lee Byunghun! He is my best friend! And that’s it. How many times do I need to tell you about this?” You were already panting hard with your boyfriend towering over you, getting tired for arguing with him.

“Oh yeah? I never see a boy kissed his “best friend” before…” L.Joe made a quotation in the air.

“Come on, Byunghun… Don’t be like this. Stop being childish, can you?” You let out a deep sigh and held his both hands. “He did it because he care for me and that’s all! We are best friends since our childhood and that kiss didn’t mean anything!”

“Stop with that ‘best friends’ words, I’m so sick of it!” L.Joe stomped his feet like a kid and frowned at you. “All I know is my girlfriend had just kissed on the cheek by a man that I hate the most in this entire universe! That’s it! And what? You call me childish?! Do you think there’s a boyfriend in this world who would not grow angry when other man kissed his girlfriend?!”

You closed your eyes and lowered your head. You didn’t know what to say no more. There’s no point on talking back to him; you knew Lee Byunghun would never listen when it comes to Kai. So you decided just to stay silent and let him said everything he wanted until he calmed down.

How can I ever explain this to a jealous-freak-boyfriend like Byunghun… When will he ever understand…?

Complete silence was the next one engulfed your surrounding. L.Joe had dragged you to his apartment and here you are now, fighting over useless thing with your boyfriend at his living room.

“Say something…” L.Joe finally broke the silence after a couple of minutes.

Still, you kept your lips sealed tightly. You just stared down at the carpeted floor, avoiding your boyfriend’s eyes; or most likely, his glare.

“___…”

The way your name being said softly by his lips making you shuddered. It was like a mantra; a spell that kept drawing you into him and fall in love with him even more no matter what happened. But still, you refused to say a word.

“Please say something…” He said it again, but this time in a more pleading tone.

“…What should I say? I already said everything what I wanted to say to you…”

“Then look at me…”

You could felt L.Joe getting closer to you as the warmth from his body radiated to yours, making you almost melted because of that simple move. And you were right; L.Joe’s feet came to your vision as you kept staring down. Leaning on the wall, you were just thinking what should you do to make L.Joe believe that there was nothing more between you and Kai. Sometimes you would grow mad at him if he accused you were dating Kai on his back. You’ve been explaining it to him for the whole yet, but that thick skull of his just not letting the words you said penetrated his head.

“Baby…”

Your heart made a flip-flop when you heard him calling you with that name again. It’s a sign that he already calmed down a bit, a signal that he was about to forgive you again.

“Baby, please look at me…” He sighed and grew worried when you didn’t answer him. Seeing you cry was the last thing he wanted to see, so took one step closer to bring you into his embrace.

“I guess… I would never can stay mad with you for long…”

You could felt his chest vibrated because he was laughing and a smile slowly crept on your face. You took in his manly scent as you mumbled on his chest. “I should be the one who get mad, though… You were late and you didn’t tell me why…”

L.Joe pushed your body a little to look at your face, but again he failed, since you kept your head lowered, covering your face with your bangs. “I told you that I was with Chunji, right? Trust me…”

“I can see it from your eyes that you are lying, Lee Byunghun… Don’t you try to fool me because I’m not stupid…” You said, still with your eyes fixed on your feet.

“How can you tell by my eyes if your eyes always looking down like that?” L.Joe gently cupped your face and lifted it up for him to see.

“My face is right here and not down there, babe…”

It was actually a wrong move. The moment your eyes met his, you knew you would give in to him. His soft gaze was something that would always made you grew insane, and how his hands now tracing your cheeks and jaws were not helping at all.

“Then don’t lie… If you tell me the truth, I will never take my eyes off from you…”

Little did you know, L.Joe was no different from you. His heart always acting weirdly whenever he was with you, it would always thumping crazily inside his lungs. You would never know how it would make him not gain a good sleep if he couldn’t see you for a day, and how he kept missing your soft voice and touches.

L.Joe smiled softly before he brought your head to rest on his chest again. He wrapped his arms around your body, keeping you warm and rested his chin on top of your head. “I give up… It’s true that I can’t lie to you… Mianhae…”

You instantly pushed him, making L.Joe looked at you with eyes as big as golf balls. “Then you are really lying to me!? Ya Lee Byunghun! How could you—!”

Your hands were ready to hit his chest hardly, when L.Joe was quick enough to catch it before you would leave a red mark on it. “Sorry…”

Much to your dismay, your boyfriend apologized at you while chuckling, resulting you to be angrier with him. You were about to throw your tantrums, when suddenly he brought your both hands to his lips, trailing butterfly kisses on your slender fingers.

“I guess it’s hard to have a detective girlfriend like you who could tell if his boyfriend was lying just by looking at the eyes…”

He started to laugh but you didn’t find it funny at all. You tried to pull your hands from his, but the latter’s grip was too strong.

“And it’s hard for me to have a stubborn, childish, liar, possessive, jealous-freak and short-tempered boyfriend like you!” You grew annoyed even more when he just kept laughing at your words. “Ppali tell me the truth now!!”

“Relax, babe…” L.Joe then surprised you by pushing you to the wall and trapping your body with his legs. “I would take all of your words as a compliment and…” He put both of his hands right beside your both ears and leaned his face closer to yours, until your noses touched. “I will tell you everything… Even when you want to know about my sizes… I would definitely let you know~”

Your face reddened because of his words and couldn’t help but gasp when he suddenly kissed your earlobe. Your boyfriend then chuckled at your face, which already looked like a ripened tomato by now.

“Y-ya! Stop joking around!” You pouted at him and he just smirked dangerously at you.

“Okay, okay…” L.Joe then put his forehead on yours before closing his eyes, giving you the perfect view of his long eyelashes and pointy nose.

“The reason I late today was because…”

You gulped and grew rigid under his touch. The way his minty breaths lingered on your lips almost made you lost focus. His husky voice and how close his lower body part with yours made your legs went jelly and you were thankful enough that he trapped you with his legs, or else, you might already fell off to the floor.

“B-because of what…?”

You stuttered nervously and the next second, his warmth left your body. You were disappointed because of the sudden lost contact, but grew confused when L.Joe rummaged a hand into the pocket of his jacket.

He pulled out a thin-long rectangular object in pink color with a small silver ribbon wrapped around it.

“Because of this…” L.Joe grabbed your hand and opened your palm to put the object on it. “This is for you…”

You couldn’t take your eyes off from the box now. “W-what’s this?”

“A gift…?” L.Joe said in a straight tone and you swore you almost wanted to hit his head because of that.

“I know… But what’s this for? I-I mean… why are you giving me this? It’s not my birthday or even—”

“—Do I need any reason first to give my girlfriend something?” L.Joe rolled his eyes and pushed your hand to motion you to open the box. “Open it…”

You slowly ran your fingers to tear off the ribbon on the box while L.Joe continued. “I spent more than 4 hours today to search for it all over the town… And if you didn’t like it, I swear I would break Chunji’s bone because he is the one who suggested it…”

“So… you were late because you went to search for this…?” You looked at him in disbelief, as you felt guilty for accusing him randomly.

L.Joe just nodded eagerly at you with a smile and you had this urge to slap your own self for your stupidity. You shouldn’t judge him that bad and should just trust him like what he always told you.

How can you asked him to believe in you when yourself didn’t even trust him at the first place…?

“Byunghun-ah… You should just tell me the truth earlier so I didn’t get mad at you…”

L.Joe shook his head cutely. “It was supposed to be a surprise, that’s why I lied to you…” He then hugged your waist again, drawing you closer to him. “Besides… That doesn’t matter at all… what matter the most is that you didn’t mad at me anymore…”

“Mianhae—”

“Sssttt~! Just open it already…” L.Joe instructed you again and finally you opened the box.

You couldn’t hide your gasp when you saw what’s inside the box. Your eyes instantly sparkled in astonishment as the object inside made you unconsciously smiling.

“Byunghun-ah… It’s really beautiful…”

Inside, laying an elegant looking gold necklace. You never expected him to give you something pretty like this and you couldn’t help but keep staring at the object that was now hanging on your hand.

L.Joe smiled proudly before he bit his lower lips. “Do you like it…?”

You stared at him with wide eyes before you grinned. “Of course! How can I didn’t like it? This is really beautiful!”

“Here… Let me help you put it on…” He took the necklace from your hand and clasped it around your neck.

It matched perfectly with you and you kept tracing the necklace with a smile. L.Joe smiled in satisfaction as well when he found out that you were happy with the gift he had chosen. “It suits you perfectly… I gave you the key of my heart, because my heart is your and always be yours forever…”

He cupped your face again and smiled lovingly at you. You were touched by his words and wrapped your arms on his waist. “Thank you, Byunghun-ah… I’m really happy…”

L.Joe shook his head then smirked at you, “Just say ‘I love you’ and don’t go outside with Kai anymore… It’s more than enough for me…”

You chuckled while making invisible circles on his back. “I love you…”

L.Joe’s face instantly turned happy because of the three words you just said, making him almost crashed his lips on yours. But before he could do what on his imaginations, he was taken aback by your action instead.

You tiptoed and hugged his neck, before planting a soft kiss on his cheek. “I love you, Lee Byunghun…” You confessed again but started laughing, “But I can’t promise you the second request, though… Like what I said, Kai is my best friend…”

L.Joe’s eyes grew big and touched his cheek. “Wow babe… It’s been a long time since the last time you kissed me first…” His smirk turned naughty as he s around his arms on your waist again, “And I will forgive you about that jerk named Kai only for today…”

“Silly…” You pinched his nose and felt he started to rub the side of your waist. “You can just ask me if you really want me to kiss your cheek though…”

“Jinjja?!” He suddenly shouted and you flinched because of the volume.

“Oh my God! My ears hurt!” You pretended to touch your ears and whined cutely at him.

L.Joe giggled before he pursed his lips eagerly towards you. “Then I want you to kiss me now! But this time, on the lips!”

“Y-ya!” Your face blushed in red again and hit his shoulder lightly. “I said ‘kiss your cheek’ and not your lips!”

L.Joe puffed his cheek and gave you his puppy eyes, perfectly reminded you of a little kid asking for his mom to buy him an ice cream.

“No, Lee Byunghun—that trick won’t work on m—mmf!!”

Without waiting for you to finish your words, L.Joe already crashed his lips to yours. His soft-plump lips matched perfectly with yours just like a puzzle and you could taste the sweetness you would always crave for. His lips moved in sync with yours as he pulled you closer to his body, rubbing the side of your waist and your back sensually.

L.Joe titled his head and deepened the kiss even more. He started to your bottom lips, asking for an entrance and you were obliged to part it open, letting his wet muscles in to battle with yours.

The kiss lasted for several minutes and you felt the temperature inside the room had increased drastically; making your whole body grew hotter second by second. It was started from a sweet tender kiss into a rough making out session and you unwillingly push him a little because of the lack of air.

L.Joe pulled away his lips from yours, leaving a trail of saliva between your lips before he put his forehead on yours and tried to regain his breaths. “Damn girl… You are really making me crazy…”

“And damn boy, you are making me insane…” You replied to him between your breaths and noticed a little smirk on his face.

“___…” L.Joe kissed your forehead.

“You are mine…” He then went downward to kiss your nose.

“Only mine…” He finished it with a peck on your cheek before stared deeply into your eyes.

“And I’m yours…” He then sealed his lips with yours again, but the kiss was different from the last one.

It was soft, no rushing, gentle and filled with affection. His lips moved slowly yet sensually against yours, melted you more with his love.

L.Joe broke the kiss after a minute before stared at your eyes again. “No one can take you away from me, baby… No, I would never let that happen…”

A wide smile formed on your face before you nodded at him. No words could even describe how this guy in front of you keep making you fall even deeper to him. He traced his finger to your face before narrowing his eyes on your lips again.

“I hate it when you are with other man and I don’t like the thought for not be able to see you… Don’t ever go away from me… I love you more than you could think of… So, don’t you ever stop me from loving you… okay?”

L.Joe’s endless confession definitely formed butterflies on your stomach. You felt thankful and beyond happy to have a boyfriend like him.

Who cares if he is childish, stubborn and possessive?

All you care about that he is yours and you are his. One thing that you really needed the most from him is that he loves you more than anything and you feel the same towards him.

“I love you too…”
