"What are you doing?" Chaeyoung asked as she spotted the numerous dvds scattered near the tv and a big bowl of chocolate ice cream on the coffee table. She looked around the living room and clicked her tongue at the girl sitting on the floor, looking through the scattered dvds.

"What does it look like i'm doing? I'm looking for a good movie to watch." Seolhwa answered as she threw another dvd to the pile of rejected dvds.

"Don't you have anything better to do? It's friday night." Chaeyoung pointed out to Seolhwa, which Seolhwa ignored and only continued to look through her set of dvds. "We're going to the karaoke later. Didn't Ami invite you?" she asked, seeing that the other girl had no plans of leaving their tiny living room.

"She did." Seolhwa simply answered. Chaeyoung raised an eyebrow at Seolhwa, waiting for Seolhwa to continue talking. After a few seconds, Seolhwa kept quiet and Chaeyoung decided to ask more questions.

"So... aren't you coming?" she asked. Seolhwa looked up at Chaeyoung and gave her a serious look.

"Going to the karaoke isn't really a problem for me, but going to the karaoke with you and your boyfriends is." Seolhwa confessed, "I'll feel lonely!" she complained. Chaeyoung was about to speak and say that she wouldn't feel lonely until the front door opened. Both, Seolhwa and Chaeyoung, looked at the person at the door and saw a well dressed Ami. Seolhwa looked at her from head to toe. She was wearing a white tank top with a black loose top that above it that went up to her belly button and a pair of dark shorts. She was wearing light make up and she had her long black hair down. To Seolhwa, Ami really changed. After she started dating Barom, Ami really changed. Sure she was the usual hard-headed-hyper girl she knew, but she could clearly see that something was different about her. Chaeyoung also changed; She went out more and talked to people more. Both of her friends changed when they started to have a boyfriend.

"What are you doing sitting there?" Ami asked her, "We're gonna be late. Come on!" Ami said as she went inside Seolhwa's room aㅐnd opened Seolhwa's closet. Seolhwa groaned before standing up from her seat and following the younger girl to her room.

"I'm not going." she said but stopped when she saw her younger friend going through her closet, "What are you doing?" Seolhwa asked as she stared at Ami like she was a crazy person. Ami on the other hand kept on looking through Seolhwa's closet for something Seolhwa could wear. When she couldn't find anything she liked, she messed her hair up and sighed. Chaeyoung, who saw this, went beside Ami and helped her search.

"You're going with us." Ami said as Chaeyoung looked for clothes for Seolhwa. Seolhwa sighed at her stubborn friends and tried to talk her way out of it.

"But you're gonna be with Barom and Ray. I'm gonna look like a loner or a third party there!" she complained. Ami smirked at her and slowly shook her head. Somehow, Seolhwa didn't have a good feeling about it.

"You're not the only 'single' person going there." Ami pointed out, "Maru and TK will also be there". At the sound of the name 'TK', Seolhwa's head suddenly perked up, and Ami didn't fail to see it making her laugh a little. Seolhwa had a small crush on TK. She couldn't help but fall for his gentle charms and love for music. But she lost hope when she found out that TK liked another girl.

"So are you coming?" Ami asked in a way as if she was daring for Seolhwa to say 'no'.

Seolhwa thought for a while. Of course she wanted to see TK. Even if he did like another girl, it wouldn't ruin the fact that she still likes him and that he's a really nice guy that's fun to be with. And since Ami already pointed out that she wasn't the only 'lover-less' person going, she had no other excuse to not go.

"Fine." Seolhwa sighed. She could hear Chaeyoung say 'Yes!' and Ami laughing which only made her roll her eyes.

"I'll be your stylist!" Chaeyoung declared and resumed in looking through Seolhwa's closet. Seolhwa could only sigh and sit on her bed while waiting for Chaeyoung to find an outfit for her. Ami walked out of Seolhwa's room, to the living room, probably not wanting to be involved in what Chaeyoung was doing. But still, Ami found herself peeking through the room from time to time to see what was happening.

After a while, Seolhwa found herself inside a karaoke room, wearing a dark blue colored dress that went up above her knees with a dark cardigan and black stilettos. She was sitting on a couch away from another couch where Ami, who had her phone by her ear, probably talking to Rome, raging about how they arrived earlier than them, and Chaeyoung who was typing on her phone, probably chatting with Ray, was. She figured that she couldn't sit near them, nor next to them, because Rome and Ray were probably sitting next to them and she didn't want to feel alone in between the two pairs.

Seolhwa sighed, not knowing what to do since both of her friends seem to be busy talking, or raging, to their significant other, asking them where they were. She grabbed the song book and started searching through the list of songs in the song book and quickly took the microphone when she finally saw a song she wanted to song. She pressed the digits of the song and pressed play, starting her song. As if on cue, Ami threw her phone away from her, sighing and probably irritated, and Chaeyoung placed her phone on the table and started listening to the beat.

"This is for all the independent ladies." Seolhwa started singing, and Ami, as well as Chaeyoung, couldn't help but stand up and dance to the music. The three of them used to love singing to this song in the past when it was Valentines Day or if it was the 14th day of every month. Now, Chaeyoung and Ami both have their significant others to spend those couple holidays with.

They kept on singing songs and just bonding as friends for a while, waiting for the boys to arrive. For a bit, they forgot that the boys existed and that they were waiting for them.

After the nth song, the door of the karaoke room opened, making the three of them look at the person near at the door. Rome went in and quickly walked to Ami's side and hugged her, before greeting Seolhwa and Chaeyoung. Ray followed him and went to Chaeyoung's side. Next to him was Maru who greeted the three of them diligently, while the last guy made Seolhwa's heart beat and her cheeks pink. Thank god the karaoke rrom was dark.

TK went in and greeted all of them with a smile that Seolhwa couldn't help but smile back at. All of them decided to sit down for a while, the two pair of couples sitting next to each other while Seolhwa, TK and Maru sat at the couch next to them. Seolhwa was sitting at the side with Maru beside her and TK next to him, making Maru in the middle of Seolhwa and TK.

"Oh. Seolhwa is here!" Rome chimed, "I wonder what these two say to make you come with us." he said, earning a chuckle from Ami. "You even dressed up today. I wonder what's up." he teased. Seolhwa was tempted to look at TK, wondering what his reaction would be seeing that she was all dressed up, but shrugged it off remembering that he likes another girl.

"I love going to karaokes!" Seolhwa fought, "And these two are really stubborn. I don't even know why they wanted me to dress up." she said pointing at Chaeyoung and Ami who only laughed at her.

"You look pretty." TK commented, making Seolhwa look at him, surprised. He had a gentle smile and a pair of sincere eyes; The eyes that Seolhwa could stare at all day. TK's compliment gave Seolhwa's stomach butteflies. She doesn't really get that compliment everyday, especially not from the guy who she has a crush on.

"Thanks" Seolhwa thanked him for his compliment, not really wanting to be rude. She looked away, thinking that TK won't speak to her anymore, and not really wanting to speak so much to him either.

After a few minutes of chattering and just asking how everyone was, Rome stood up and took the mic the others looked through the song book. Seolhwa moved away from the song book, not really wanting to sing anymore. She felt shy all of the sudden when the boys arrived. It didn't feel right for her to go crazy in front of these guys, especially TK. She didn't mind though; She already had her fair share of craziness with her friends for the night. She knew she wasn't the only one who felt that way, seeing that her friends only sat on their seats and just watched their boyfriends look through the song book.

For a whole hour, all they did was sing and dance in the karaoke. There were times when Rome and Ray would sing and rap and stare at their girlfriends, as if they were dedicating the song to them. Seolhwa couldn't help but feel jealous and at the same time amused seeing her friends' shy faces and their boyfriends dedicating a song to them. But the jealousy would quickly disappear because whenever the two boys did that, TK would always call for Seolhwa's attention and talk to her, distracting her from what was happening.

"Seolhwa," TK called, making her look away from the cheesy couple in front of her, "Why aren't you singing?" he asked. "Everyone's singing except you." he pointed out. It was true. Although Chaeyoung and Ami felt shy for a while, they had no choice but to sing because of the other's request, or more specifically their boyfriends'. But it wasn't all true. Just like Seolhwa, TK hasn't sang too.

"I already sang a lot when you guys were still on your way here." Seolhwa said, "And besides, I don't want to ruin their moment." she said and pointed to Ray who was serenading Chaeyoung. TK nodded and chuckled, agreeing with Seolhwa making her chuckle as well.

"Why are you asking me, anyway?" Seolhwa asked him, "You haven't even sang yet." She pointed out. Just as she finished her sentence, she started to regret saying what she said. TK looked at her in the eyes and gave her a soft smile; The smile that could make time stop and her heart beat fast.

"I want to hear you sing." He said, making Seolhwa blush. Seolhwa isn't really the best singer. She wasn't really that good compared to her friends. But hearing TK say he wanted to hear her sing made her feel nice. Although it did make her wonder why he wanted to hear her sing when the others already sang nicely. Maybe because of his curiosity? Maybe.

"Do you want to hear me sing?" He asked. Seolhwa quickly nodded, making TK chuckle. She has heard quite great rumors about TK. They say that he had a really nice voice and that he was really good at rapping. She really wanted to hear him sing.

"Alright." He said as he stood up, "Since you asked." He walked to the front and took the mic from Ray. It was only then that Seolhwa realized that Ray was done with his song.

Ray entered the code to the karaoke, as if he was sure of what TK would sing, and gave TK a thumbs up. The music started playing and the others, as well as Seolhwa, cheered. Seolhwa's eyebrows met, unable to identify the song playing. The song was new to her. She hasn't heard it on the radio nor at the music shows on tv.

"Even today, I love the feeling your sweet smile brings me. How is it that I only see you?" TK's soft voice filled the karaoke room. The boys howled, as if their best friend was confessing to the girl he likes and they're teasing him. Seolhwa couldn't help but feel butterflies in her stomache. TK's voice was deep yet soft. His voice hit something in her heart and goosebumps started to show on her skin.

"Like a doll, I want to keep you and only you by my side." he sang as he looked around his friends, who was cheering for him, and stopped when his eyes found Seolhwa. And just like that, Seolhwa's heart started beating faster.

"Footsteps light like clouds. The lyrics I only hummed now become a confessional song. I think I’ll end up singing them to you."  he started rapping, still with the same gaze at her. Seolhwa's chest tighten, and she found it hard to breath. His voice was heaven to her. She wanted to focus on his voice, but couldn't because of his gaze. It was like he was dedicating the song to her, as if he was confessing to her. His gaze was soft and full of sincerity. She felt like she was floating with the clouds., not wanting to go back to the ground.

"I want you and me to live side by side. Saying these words makes me excited. Although you won’t be the first one to confess. I don’t want to see you being stolen away by someone else". Seolhwa felt light headed. It was as if all the oxygen in her body has been
