“Are you sure you and Taehyung has nothing going on?” Ai Mei, my Chinese friend asked me as she stares through my soul. Funny how her name suits her when translated; doubtful. Letting out a small laugh, I looked back at her and smirked. “I KNEW IT! You two looked good together! I mean---““Chill Ai! There’s nothing going on between us. We’re like noona and dongsaeng.” I said cutting of her little dream of me and Taehyung, my closest dongsaeng and guy friend, being a couple. “Awww… Seriously speaking, you two looked good together. You understand each other plus age is just a number Suji.” She said in a matter-of-factly tone. I really wish he feels the same way. I thought and stuck my tongue out. “No way in hell will I ever date someone like him!”

“Date who?”

“Oh hey Taetae!” Ai greeted at the young boy that’s now sitting beside me. Not that I am surprised. He’s always like this; popping out of nowhere like a mushroom. “Hey Ai!” He greeted back with that infamous toothy smile of his that always leave me off-guard. “So… who’s dating who? Is my Suji noona dating now? How could you?! Why didn’t you tell me?! I thought you love me?!” He said in the most adorable and annoying way possible; pouting in the process. “Wait what?! Suji’s dating? Is that the reason why you won’t like---””Who’s the smarty pants who said that I was dating?!” I once again cut Ai before she says something stupid. “Well, Taetae said so and--- to be honest, I will be the happiest person if I find out that your dating. You’re like single since birth! You’ve been rejecting people for like years now!”

“It’s because no one has caught my attention yet.” I said nonchalantly. No one except Taehyung has yet caught my attention. I mentally spoke as I started poking my food.

“At that age? Impossible. So who’s the lucky guy?”
“Me!” Taehyung said as he slung his arm around my shoulder, pulling me towards his chest. Feeling the heat creeping on my face, I quickly pushed him back and gathered my things.
“I’m going back.” I said in a cold tone. “And for you guys’ information, I have no one.” I said, stood up and left.

Class is finally done. I quietly gathered all of my things and walked outside. For the rest of the day, I didn’t talk to Taehyung nor Ai. I don’t actually know why but I just felt like not talking to anyone. I was surprisingly quiet. Well I am not the type to start the noise too but—you get it.

Silently walking towards the front gate, I heard someone calling my name. Turning around, I saw Ai running and struggling with her bag towards me. “Suji-ahh!” She shouted as she runs towards me. Immediately stopping on my tracks as she nears me, I looked at her with a confused expression. “Suji – ah.” She said, heavily breathing because of the unnecessary run. “I’m—I’m sorry about a while ago.” She then hugged me; almost choking me because of the bear hug. “I- I can’t breathe Ai.” I said successfully prying her off of me. Letting out a chuckle as she rubs her nape, she mumbled a ‘sorry’ before looking at me. “It’s fine, it’s fine. Chill Ai. I won’t get mad at the simplest of things.” I said smiling at her. She quickly regained her posture and hugged me once again. “I was so scared because you walked away, left me with Taetae and won’t talk in class.” She said pouting in the process. I guess I was too caught of my  feelings for me to notice what I have been doing. “I’m sorry. I guess I was a bit childish back then.” I mumbled but she was able to catch it. “Nah~ It’s fine. My fault too. I promise not to tease you to Taehyung once again.” She said raising her hands in the process. “Though you two really looked good together.”
”Ai Mei!”
“Sorry.” She said then laughed. “Anyway, see you on Monday!” She said, hugged me and ran away.

I just finished showering when I noticed that someone has messaged me. Throwing my towel back, I quickly went to my phone and checked the message.

From: Kim Taehyung

                Sorry if I may have said something that got you off the mood a while ago. :c

My eyes widened at his message. Did I really look like I was pissed? Looking back at the message, I quickly scribbled a reply before hitting send.

To: Kim Taehyung
                It’s fine. No biggy. I’m having moodswings I guess. Not your fault.

I was about to throw my phone on my bed when it beeped. Looking at it again, it was from Taehyung. Man! This kid replies fast.

From: Kim Taehyung
                But--- oh well. Yay! You’re not mad now right? Well I guess I can pick you up at 2 tomorrow. I need your help. C:

Help? Help on what? Typing back a reply, I went to my bed and made myself comfortable under the sheets.

                 Things… so see you tomorrow Suji! Good night. <3

Looking at the heart, I can’t help but to feel the heat creeping on my face once again for the second time this day. All because of that kid named Kim Taehyung. Locking my phone and putting it on my desk, I snuggled on my bed before mumbling a simple reply that I doubt will reach him.
