Park Hoon was just leaving the surgery room when he bumped into Dr. Oh, whom looked incredibly upset. He watched her carefully, trying to guess what left her like that.
"Hey, quack", he said. "Are you okay?"
She looked up at him, like she just noticed he was there. "What? Oh, yes", she said, not looking into his eyes.
He made a strange face, because he knew she wasn't okay. She normally would've been pissed off by him bumping into her like that. He noticed that her left hand was holding the right one, like she was trying to hide something.
"What do you have in your hand?" he asked, taking her arm. She shivered, surprised.
"N-nothing", said Soo Hyun, scared that if he found out that her hand was hurt, he would bug her even more. She took her hand back in a rush. "I just scratched my hand with the scalpel."
Dr. Park's eyes widened for a moment, and then he took a deep breath. "Come", he said, taking her arm for the second time, "I'll take care of it."
She was ready to complain that she didn't need him to do anything, but she couldn't find the words. He would just be stubborn. Like he always is.
He took her to his room and told her to sit down. When she did, she started breathing really heavily - it wasn't really usual for her to be alone with Dr. Park.
"You should be more careful, quack", he said, sitting by her side, the two of them with their hands on the table. "You can't be a good doctor if you get hurt all the time."
She stared at his coconut-brown eyes, wondering why he was doing this. Was he worried about her? Or was he just being nice? Would he do the same with anyone else?
She didn't have time to think about it, though. He took her hand carefully and rubbed some medicine her wound.
"Ouch", she cried. He smiled at her. "You know, I might be a doctor, but I'm still human, Dr. Park."
"You're a quack, quack", he said, staring at her wound, still smiling. "But I still like you."
She felt like her heart skipped a beat. But she also felt stupid.
She looked down for what seemed like a long time, but when she looked up, he was staring at her.
"W-what?" She noticed that he still was with his hand on hers, with the medicine.
He was staring deeply into her eyes. "Would you be still for a moment, quack?" he said, suddendly souding really serious.
"What the heck? What for?", she asked, surprised.
"Just", he said, breathing, "stay still."
She did.
He got close to her.
Closer and closer.
Close enough for their lips to touch.
