Maybe it’s a bad decision; after all, I don’t know how things have changed for you while I was gone.
But now I’m coming back.

Foreword
**Loosely based off the song “One Year Later” by Jessica featuring Onew**
P R O L O G U E
“May I have an iced tea, please?” the young blonde woman asked the bartender kindly as she took a seat on the stool in front of him.
“Sure thing,” the bartender said, smiling at her. He looked to be about her age—in his late teens—and was Asian with long black hair and a charming smile that brightened his dark brown eyes. He seemed to be really tall and he was totally the blonde’s type.
It made her heart swell as she thought of who this guy reminded her of.
“Here you go,” he said a few moments later, handing her the glass and giving her another bright smile as he did so.
“T-thank you,” she responded, taking the beverage. She stood up and walked out onto the deck of the ship, breathing in the fresh salty air of the Pacific Ocean.
That bartender’s smile will never live up to his.
She sat at one of the empty tables, feeling the wind whip through her hair as she sipped at her tea. It was a humid day, and she was thankful for the umbrella to protect her from the sun and for the cool drink.
“Attention all passengers, this is your captain speaking. We shall reach the coast of South Korea in approximately three hours. Thank you.”
The captain spoke in English and then repeated his message in Korean, and even though the blonde could speak both languages fluently, she felt that she needed it hear the message once again in order to believe that what the man had said was true.
I’m actually going back.
She held back a laugh, not wanting to freak out the other passengers around her by randomly laughing, but if they knew what she was thinking, they would understand how she was feeling hypocritical about herself.
The first time I travelled to this country, I wanted to do nothing but to leave as soon as possible, but now I, Jessica Sooyeon Jung, am going to Seoul without being forced to this time.
Actually, although no one’s forcing me, I do have a purpose that’s causing me to make this trip.
Lee Jinki, I’m coming back for you.
