Kyuhyun stared at his phone which keep blinking, indicates someone was trying to call him, he looked at the caller’s name and sighed, he ruffled his hair in frustration and instead of picked up the call, he put his phone away from his sight and just sat down on the floor, hug his knee, feeling depressed. It was a call from someone whom he wished never calls him on that day, no, it wasn’t because he hates the person, surprisingly it was because he loves the person too much. Not a lover but only a best friend, someone he always loves with all his heart, someone that always become his sunshine no matter how bad the day could become, that person he supposed not to love but eventually he trapped on it drove him to a great despair of life and now he stuck on it couldn’t move on even when he really had to, just like now instead of fight for it he had chosen to just step back for everyone’s goodness even it wasn’t for him. He trembled so much when after a few times he ignored his phone and finally picked it up, cleared his throat, took a deep breath, Kyuhyun answered the call

“Hel…” before he even could finish his word, other person in the line cut him off

“where the hell were you?!!!!” the caller shouted, yes, Kyuhyun really fell bad for the caller even when the caller shouted at him Kyuhyun still could smile and enjoyed the moment that wouldn’t last

“chill min… you know how busy I am lately” Kyuhyun tried his best to sounds normal and that was a huge success since the other person on the line didn’t catch how sad he was when the person called him

“Don’t tell me you go back to the club?!”

“I left with no choice lee sungmin… I’ve told you many times” Kyuhyun tried to relax himself and leaned his body to the wall

“You have, you just didn’t want to choose it, I swear Cho Kyuhyun if you really come back with your old job I will skin you alive!”

“that’s scary” Kyuhyun chuckled when Sungmin shouted that he was being serious about it “relax min, a few days later the contract end, after that I will be a free man and I’m going to look for a proper job to pay all this ” Kyuhyun looked at paper bills beside him sadly, he stared at the ceiling, reminiscing all the things that made him sat desperately inside his small room, his only place, he called it ‘home’

Kyuhyun was an ordinary guy, who thought he was the unluckiest person in the world, live with no parents on his side, abused by new ‘family’ who adopted him, chosen to live alone outside, met some gangster,  forced to work in a club, but all those thing changed when he saved a rich guy from a robbery outside his club 7 years ago, the guy was Lee Sungmin, an angel, Kyuhyun called him, as he saved Kyuhyun from the dark side of the world to a brighter side. After hearing all Kyuhyun’s stories, Sungmin asked Kyuhyun to stay with him, as his bodyguard, and that was when love started to grow inside Kyuhyun’s heart. There is a thick wall between Kyuhyun and Sungmin, Kyuhyun knew it and people around him always reminded him about it, he couldn’t love Sungmin, the guy deserves someone much better than him, Kyuhyun tried his best to break the wall by letting go the job he always love. 2 years ago he told Sungmin he couldn’t be his bodyguard anymore, he wanted to find other job, which Kyuhyun hoped someday would break the wall between Sungmin and him, with all his save, he tried to start a small business, but with his past history and lack of experience Kyuhyun fell hard, all the money he saved gone, and left him with all debt he had to pay, with a heavy feelings he knew he had no choice, he had to let go Sungmin, forever.

“Kyu….” Sungmin said, waken Kyuhyun up from his daydreaming, no, don’t… Kyuhyun knew what Sungmin was going to say and he wasn’t ready for it

“Listen to me first, you know that guy who always drink with me?” Kyuhyun randomly asked, escaped from the reality Sungmin was going to say

“Errr… you have tons of drunk friends fyi” Sungmin bit his lips tried his best not to laugh when Kyuhyun huffed

“That gay guy” Kyuhyun gave Sungmin a clue

“Well… you have a lot of gay friends too… which includes me” Sungmin chuckled when Kyuhyun sighed

“You’re right…. Ah… now when I say this thing you will know who I referred to! Anchovy!”

“Ah! Eunhyuk!” Sungmin told Kyuhyun and giggled “I couldn’t be wrong about this, what happened to him?” Kyuhyun face turned red when he heard Sungmin’s laughing sound, his favorite sound and actually he had a record of Sungmin’s laugh sound

“He contacted me yesterday, saying he leaving Korea soon and he will stay in Japan”

“Don’t say…..” Sungmin’s eyes grew bigger once he heard it

“Yes, he decided to stay with Donghae there” Kyuhyun smiled as he imagined Sungmin’s eyes grew bigger

“OMG FINALLY!!!!!!!!” Sungmin literally screamed and Kyuhyun had to move his phone away from his ear because of that, Kyuhyun smiled and continued his story about how Eunhyuk finally made up his mind and keep distracting Sungmin from saying the important news

It had been 2 hours, everytime Sungmin told Kyuhyun he had something important to tell, Kyuhyun would cut him off and pretend he never heard anything about it

“Kyu…” Sungmin tried to get Kyuhyun attention again

“What? Oh yes and you know that guy…”

“Kyu listen to me first” Sungmin told Kyuhyun with serious tone and Kyuhyun told he ‘now is the time’, Kyuhyun cleared his throat, prepared his heart, and staring at a framed picture of Sungmin beside him

“Sorry… so what is it about?” Kyuhyun knew, he had known about it even before Sungmin called him, he just pretend he never knew about it, he knew he shouldn’t have escape from this, cause sooner or later eventually it would hit him, he just slowed down the process, he still wanted to spend some time thinking that Sungmin was still his, that’s it, nothing more than that. He had prepared for this kind of news since a month ago, but still it hurts like hell for him, but nothing he could do about it, nothing more than Sungmin’s happiness he always wanted in his life, and he’s not going to destroy it even it hurts him so bad. He took a deep breath and braced himself to be braver “Min?” now Kyuhyun turn to wake Sungmin up from his daydreaming ‘time to let him go’ Kyuhyun thought inwardly

“I’m going to marry Siwon and I hope you will come to my wedding” it hurts, it still hurts like when Sungmin said it by himself, all his way to postpone the announcement from Sungmin mouth for 2 hours were just a waste, in the end he still feel like someone stabbed him on his heart, he remained silent for a while, tried to make the pain away but it was just way too hard for him “you… will come right?” Sungmin asked Kyuhyun hesitantly, ‘let him go cho kyuhyun, he has a bright future with that guy, not like with you, let him go, let him go’ Kyuhyun told himself

“When?” finally a word escaped from his mouth after a while

“I know it’s too sudden but the wedding is next week” Sungmin quickly added up his words when Kyuhyun remained silent again “sorry if it’s too sudden, I’ve been trying to contact you since last month but you were nowhere to be found” Sungmin pouted, of course, a month ago a maid Kyuhyun knew told him about this ‘happy’ news and since then he had been ignoring Sungmin’s call, even hid whenever he saw Sungmin in the street, he also moved out from his ‘home’ just to make sure he would never heard about the news from Sungmin mouth, but after a month Kyuhyun realized, there was no more hide and seek between him and Sungmin, after Sungmin married with Siwon there would be a less chance for him to hang around Sungmin, so there was no point for him to keep hiding from the latter as he only had limited time to spend with Sungmin “I miss you, where have you been?” Sungmin asked Kyuhyun

“Looking for a proper job” Kyuhyun chuckled when Sungmin snorted “no, I don’t want you to give me a job, I want to challenge myself” Kyuhyun told Sungmin before the latter gave him a job

“Okay then, it’s your life, I can’t do anything about it, but just remember that I will always be your best friend, no matter what you are my superman, you saved my life, and I can’t be more thankful to you about it, attend my wedding okay? Maybe there you will see someone you love and get married like me too” Sungmin smiled, of course, of course Kyuhyun would find someone he love on his wedding, but the hardest part was that someone is the groom, bitter fact, indeed.

“So I guess… see you next week?” Sungmin said before hang up his call

“Well… see you” Kyuhyun smiled awkwardly, what can be more miserable than the fact that he needed to smile despite the wound on his heart?

“Bye”

“Bye”

Kyuhyun put away his phone without even bothered to press the end call, he knew Sungmin would hang up the call first, too bad secretly before Sungmin hang up, he whispered to his phone

“I love you kyu” and hang up the call
