My head quickly shot up , recovering from the nightmare I had. Tears were rolling

Down my eyes. The lady’s voice still echo around in my head ‘Ms. Seo , The results

are divergent.’  My head was filled of those stories about having divergent blood ,

people being executed by the patrol guards. None of my family members had

divergent blood , My family was full of dauntless people.  I look at the clock on the

flat screen , 2:00 am.  A hour before the alarm rings for training for us trainees

and mentors. I groaned in pain , my legs and arms were full of bruises and

scratches.  I closed my eyes , but I was too scared about falling asleep. What if

patrol guards found out about my divergent blood and executed me? My family

need me , it’s one of the reason why I joined the dauntless faction. To follow

family traditions  , where dauntless blood is deeply engraved in . My mentor ,

kyuhyun was going to wake me up earlier for the fielding. He is very harsh as

a mentor but as a friend , he is soft and friendly. He isn’t much of a friend to me , I

kind of feel like he hates me a little. Is it because he protects me in case of trouble

and  stands up for me? There is one thing about him that makes him seem

familiar , He is higher in terms of ranking when it comes to mentor and I’m high in

ranking for trainees. Almost as we could relate , It even leads me into thinking

that he has divergent blood. Am I the only divergent one here? I’m very sure i am.

 

I could hear kyuhyun calling my name “ SeoHyun.”, I quickly wiped my tears as I

snuggle under the covers. “ Yes.” I reply , closing my eyes. “ It’s time to get up.”

He says , rubbing my shoulder.  I open my eyes and put my head down , not

wanting him to see how bloodshot and watery my eyes were. I don’t want to

seem weak because it isn’t what a dauntless trainee does. I get up from the

bed , “ SeoHyun.” He says , looking straight at me and lifts up my chin with his

index finger “ Are you okay?”  I  blush at his actions , “ Yes , There is no need to

check on me.” I say , putting down his index finger. “ Seo Joo Hyun , You should

have told me you were hurt.” He says as I try to walk , but I quickly trip and a tear

rolls down my cheek. I was hurt so badly , my legs were bruised and there were a

couple of wounds that were cause due to the wrestling and epipument. “ Seo Joo

Hyun , sit down.” He helps me get up and leads me to the bed.

 

Kyuhyun applies ointment and bandages on the area where it needs it. “ SeoHyun

 , I been noticing you waking up way more earlier than the other trainees. Are you

 having nightmares?-and I know it isn’t your internal alarm clock.” He asks me.

I gulped , feeling uneasy. “ SeoHyun , Is there something wrong?” Kyuhyun looks

at me with a worried face. “ I’m divergent.” I say , not realizing the words I let out.
