- Writing mechanics: Was the detail of description and other elements effective in the story telling, in building the atmosphere, character, worldscape?
- Characterisation: Were the characters recognisable and engaging?
- Storytelling: Was the plot suitable and engaging, and the writer's decisions effective in making me interested?
