No choice: I will follow you

Forevermore: Sine qua non

“Lulu!”

Sehun shouted as he stepped into his house.

“Lu? Luhan?”

Nothing but silent. He ceased his brows.

Luhan, where are you?”

He dashed to the kitchen. It was empty. Only silence accompanied him.

He looked left and right searching for any figure, Luhan.

He then stomped through the stairs to his bedroom on the 2nd floor of their mansion. He twisted the doorknob. It was locked.

“Luhan? Are you in there?” He called out.

He was surrounded by silence as nothing could creep in the big mansion.

“Luhan, open the door!” He fisted the door.

He twisted the doorknob for a few times in trying, but ended up failing. He sighed.

He ran down the stairs toward the main entrance. There was a vintage table with drawers.  He opened one of the drawers and grabbed a key. It was the spare key for his bedroom.

He raced upstairs and pushed the key in and twisted to unlock the door. A click sound indicated that he succeeded to unlock the door. He promptly pushed the door in.

He disoriented at the surrounding, more to stun. All white and so clean as it hadn’t been touched for a long time. White paint coated the wall of the huge room; the white bed in king sized was neatly arranged with those white pillows. Also the white curtain shaded the windows.

He stepped into the room, right hand still on the knob. He subtly released his grasp on the knob and took another step.

A throbbing pain right on his heart. He wildly gazed at the surrounding. He stopped on a huge frame a bit far on top of the bed head.

A fairly white face was painted on a canvas paper, carved the sweetest smile on his face along the beaming eyes. The painting was likely alive, it was likely breathing.

“Luhan.”

Sehun lost to his weakened legs and dropped onto the cold white floor. His eyes shot-wide opened gaping the floor. He only blinked after a drop of pearl-like warm liquid flowed down and sodden his pallid cheek. Another tear was falling onto the floor.

He was wailing heavily along his loud breath, mouth agape wide.

“Luhan.”

He called out for the second time. Tears soaked the shoulder of his suit.

“Luhan, Luhan, Luhan.” He chanted likely one under a spell.

He arose and rushed out from the room. He almost tripped on his step, running toward another room on the same floor.

He entered into the room and again he was at a complete loss. A big contra than the earlier room, it was painted in blue and pink. Everything was in blue and pink. The feelings that should be filled with joy, instead filled with misery. Each item in the room brought such a pain and desolation. Started with the bright color of the wall, dented with the adorable fresco, a pair of crib in pink and blue with tons of bear and plush around it. A load of baby clothes, one-sies, mittens, boots and such were occupied the two huge racks. One was filled with pink and the other one was blue.

His hand was still on the doorknob. He hastily turned around and slammed the door as he stepped out.

He slumped onto his against the door. He sat tousling his hair in depression. Along with a loud groan, he cried. He cried his heart out, dropping the tears of quail from his dreary eyes. He sobbed even harder. But nothing would change; the gone would be gone forever. It was not a tiny seed, which can grow big as a tree. It was not as simple as that.

It had been a month since he lost Luhan in an accident. The most painful part to move on was he hadn’t only lost his lovely spouse; he lost their children too, unborn children. Luhan was pregnant and it was on his 8th month. Another month of waiting and he could see their children, their pair of twins of girl and boy. But fate was too cruel, those happiness were pulled away in a flash not even before he could open his eyes from a second blink.

If it was not bad luck befall on him, he probably was enjoying the beautiful days with Luhan and their newborn kids. He would probably listen to a cute giggle and whine from his babies, waking up at midnight to lull them and a warm welcome from his family after he returned from work. But unfortunately, the dream was merely a dream.

Since then, he was diagnosed with a high depression and anxiety. He constantly visited a counselor to let out his anger, but for what? For the vicious fate which had been determined for him? And also for letting out his sorrow. He turned into a taciturn instead of a cheery one like before. He also barely could hold his anger too.

He took pills every single night just to put him into the forty winks. Every night, he wished when he opened his eye, he could see Luhan. He was left with no choice. If Luhan couldn’t return alive, then he must die.

He harshly wiped the remaining tears beneath his eyes and stood up. He took a slow path between his steps into his bedroom.

Once he was in, he walked straight to a cabinet and opened the bottom drawer. He took a hidden wooden box out under a stack of files and clothes. He opened the box and took out a metallic gun.

Sehun continued his step and ended right in front of the bed. He gawked the painting of Luhan and leered. He put up the gun and pointed to his head. He moved his index finger along the trigger.

“Luhan, wait for me.”

Only a shrill blast from the gun echoed the whole mansion, either it was heard by the nearby or not, no one knew.

Bloods were spattering on the white bed and the floor. The heart beat stopped in a second. The soul was torn away, leaving the breathless body and butterflies flew up to the sky.
