Description

Single.

There's nothing wrong with being a free agent, right? Relationship status doesn't measure the kind of person you are, so why does it matter?

To everyone, you were the sweet, outgoing, bubbly, strong-willed, happy-go-lucky, girl-next door that was never afraid to speak her mind. That was-before you had met Nam Woohyun, the player that transformed you into a whole other person.

And then there was Lee Howon, but that's a whole other story. Let's get back to your first mistake.

Foreword

It started when you finally gave into your besties' pleas to go out clubbing. You, with your short, strapless, leg-exposing cocktail dress, and your friends with equally revealing attire, entered the bar turning heads. Music blared as lights bounced off the ceiling and walls, the bodies in the room crowing the floor. You shuffled in awkwardly behind your friends, their confident air telling you this wasn't their first time in an institution like this. They giggled, pulling you along across the dance floor towards the bar. Unconsciously you tugged at the hem of your dress, already uncomfortable with its short length, rethinking what your friends had told you earlier. Normally you weren't this shy, but the thought of looking so scandalous in public made the prude you feel incredibly selfconcious.
**
"Don't worry, ~~~, we're doing this for you. You need to get out more!  If you hate it this time, then we'll never take you again! Of course if you like it, then we'll be more than happy to take you back~"
**
"~~~!" One of your friends shook you, sending you back to reality. Looking up, you faced seven handsome faces staring straight at you. Some were smiling, others smirking, a couple expressionless.
"~~~, this is Infinite, they own this place," one of your friends introduced. You nodded, quickly bowing before realizing your dress was bound to ride up in the back. Blushing, you straightened yourself smoothing your dress down as everyone in your group stared at you in amusement. A hand was held out in front of you as its owner spoke,
"Nice to meet you,~~~. I'm Nam Woohyun. I think we'll get along just fine,"
Cue a wink and cheesy pick-up line, the old you resurfaced as you bluntly said,
"Seriously? Who are you trying to hit on, my mom?"
The others seemed taken back as well as the player himself, but before long everyone was laughing uncontrollably. Everyone except you, who was still confused by the matter. After their laughter died down, the others introduced themselves.
A drink or two later, you seemed to at least be able to familiarize with Sunggyu, Dongwoo, Sungjong, Myungsoo or L, and Sungyeol. However the quieter Ho-won or Hoya, as his friends insisted you call him, didn't utter a word to you that night.  Woohyun on the other-hand, whom you'd tried to distance yourself from altogether, continued to pester you. As if he had not been fazed by your first rejection(or 7th and 8th for that matter) he took as many chances to talk to you as possible.

"So, what university do you go to?"

"Do you come to clubs often?"

"How do you like your kimchi?"

    He must have been drunk.

"Do you have a boyfriend?"

-or maybe not, considering how smoothly the words seemed to flow out of his mouth. You frowned at his obnoxious behavior.
The metal bar stool screeched against the wooden floor, as you got up to leave. You were fed up with this nonsense but right as you turned for the exit, a hand grabbed yours.
"Hey, wait! ~~~, I'm sorry , please don't leave!"
You froze, caught off guard by the sudden apology. 'He's a player, ~~~! Don't let him fool you,' you screamed mentally as you turned around to face him.
"Huh?"
"Listen, ~~~. I know we got off on a rough start, but let me make it up to you! Let me buy you coffee sometime,"
Sure, his personality pissed you off, but the adorable pleading look he gave you, and the honesty that flashed in his eyes made you reluctantly sigh.
"Fine."

It was all his fault really.
