Kim Misun:
An innocent girl that is very sweet and kind.
It was Halloween. A young high school girl and her best friend were killing time before a party by doing their homework. The girl’s friend glanced at the other when a question came to mind, “Are you still talking that boy that transferred last year?”
“Yes, I am,” the girl nodded nonchalantly, still focusing on her work, “He’s going to be at the party tonight, too.”
Her friend chuckled, “The over-achieving nerd and her bully lover. Sounds like a start of a good drama.”
“Or, a tragic love story,” the girl spoke the first thing that came to mind. She stopped working for a second, thinking about why she would say that.
“You said it, not me,” Her friend stated as her eyes were glued on the girl. Her eyes shined and the corners of slightly curved up in amusement. The girl had a weird feeling as she thought about what she said more, but quickly shook it off and continued working.
They two worked continuously for almost half an hour until the girl’s friend became slightly bored, but more interested in satisfying her hunger with an after school snack. “I am hungry,” the friend pouted.
“I think I may have some fruits,” the girl stopped working again, worried about her friend, “Will that do for a little while?” Her friend nodded eagerly. “Okay, I’ll get some,” the girl stood up and so did her friend.
“I need to use the bathroom too,” The friend informed then pranced off. Meanwhile, the girl headed off to the kitchen and quickly cut up some fruits. The girl headed back into the living room, where her and her friend were working, and set down the fruits on the coffee table. A tall dark figure came out from the shadows and stalked towards the girl, who was oblivious to what was going on.
An ear shattering shriek echoed throughout the house, and the girl whipped around.
She saw a quick gleam then felt a sharp pain in her stomach, then again in in her chest. She came to her knees and her hands to where the pain originated. Her hands felt wet and she looked at her hands, blood. She felt more immense pain coming from her back, and she coughed up blood.
The girl collapsed, finding the pain to be unbearable and the struggle to breathe. She tried crawling away. She felt eyes watching her be in agony. The girl made it to the steps to the kitchen, when she began to feel cold and extremely tired. She felt another pain behind her neck and she couldn’t move. She lay there, immobilized. The figure came up to her and covered her eyes until she took her last breath.
