Prologue

The Last Month

Toes rustled softly in the grass as Kim Jongin sat silently in the middle of a large flowery field. It was the first day of spring and Jongin hadn’t realized this until a lady bug flew over and landed gently on the back of his hand and a monarch butterfly danced gracefully above his head. The cool spring breeze brushed through his soft brown hair. A sigh left his lungs and he closed his dark brown eyes as the sun became too bright when a cloud moved from the way of its rays. His body began to get the perfect warm temperature as the sun showered onto his slightly tan skin.
A white V-neck T-shirt covered his upper body while dark blue jeans hugged his legs. He wore no jewelry or even socks and shoes, just what he needed to keep him from being . As the clouds moved he traced the shapes with his eyes scanning for anything he might recognize. There was nothing to pull him from his slow relaxed thoughts as he sat in this field of serenity.
He was silent. He was calm. He was at peace. He was alone. He was dead.
