A Fan's Heartbroken Confession + Update on Publication

I remember the pain I felt when I read the news – Yifan had left EXO in a very irresponsible way (left without telling anyone) and I cried out of disappointment for three days straight. Since then, I didn’t really follow his journey as a solo artist; even now, I don’t religiously follow his activities but he always has a place in my heart – maybe because he was my first EXO bias? I’m not sure.
And now this.
I read a post here and honestly I didn’t know what to feel. I know I’m not the only one disappointed right now, and some may even try to defend his actions. If you are defending him, please chant this over and over – “I am a woman first, then a viewer, then a fan.” I understand that until proven guilty, Yifan is innocent. Which is why I refused to pick sides.
But if it is true, if Yifan is proven guilty for all these accusations, then it’s time to say goodbye. As much as I love him, I will not condone nor defend him in any way. And before anyone comes at me for it, let me remind you that Wu Yifan (and any other public figures) created an image for themselves that may or may not be true, and we, as fans, are guilty of creating an even more perfect image of our biases which clouds our judgements most of the time.
