Chapter 10

“Yunnie Oppa, do you have a minute? Can I talk to you?” Yuri caught up with Yunho just as he was about to leave for work.

Yunho had been avoiding Yuri the whole morning. He was afraid to listen to what she might tell him after last night’s incident. For a split second, he was tempted to say that he had no time right now. Instead, he looked at his bulova chronograph stainless steel bracelet watch & said, “I have fifteen minutes to spare.”

Yuri nodded & said, “I’ve been doing a lot of thinking last night.” Then she approached Yunho & fixed his navy signature tartan tie.

Yunho stood there, afraid to say anything. He had been expecting the worse & the way Yuri started the conversation didn’t seem promising but she was standing close to him, fixing his tie, ‘What’s going on here?’ He thought.

Yuri took a step back & took a good look at Yunho’s impassive face, “I’m sorry, maybe this isn’t a good time. We can talk later.” She chickened out.

“Yul, wait. What is it?” Yunho asked, as he braced himself for the worse. There was no way he can get any work done today, wondering what Yuri wanted to talk about.

“Actually, I was wondering if...well, um...about what happened last night...well, um...you know, do you still want to...you know.” Yuri would’ve been staring at her feet if her stomach wasn’t in the way.

“What?!” A frustrated Yunho raked his long fingers through his hair, “I have no clue as to what you just said!” Here he was, scared to death & she expected him to decipher her meaning?

“You didn’t have to yell.” Yuri said, with a pout. Then she took a peek at him, “What I’m trying to say is...well...do I have to spell it out for you?” At this point, Yuri was blushing furiously.

“Yul, please, I’m trying to understand but you’re worrying me. Look, I’m sorry about what I almost did last night. I promise it won’t happen again.” Yunho was taken aback by the glare Yuri gave him.

“Are you trying to tell me that you’ve been playing with me all this time? That you really had no intention of making things work out between us? Well then, that’s it. I’m leaving.”

“Huh? Yul, I’m really very confused here. What are you talking about? What do you want me to do?” Yunho grabbed Yuri’s shoulder as she tried to walk away, “Yul, talk to me. Tell me what you’re thinking.”

“I’m just wasting my time. You are just too pigheaded to understand that I want things to change here. I want to start all over again. I want to get to know you better. I want things to change between us.” Yuri angrily wrenched her shoulder away & stomped off towards her bedroom.

Poor Yunho stood there in shock, his heart pounding crazily. Did she just say what he thought she did? He started trembling. What she said was the exact opposite of what he expected. He wasn’t dreaming, right? ‘I want to start all over again.’ Yes, she did say that, “Yul!” Yunho shouted, as he mobilized his limbs to move, ‘Hell, if I had known that she would react this way after almost kissing her, I would’ve done this a long time ago.’ He felt like he was going to fly with the elation he’s feeling right now.

“Yul.” Yunho finally caught up with her inside her bedroom. Without another wasted second, he pulled her into his arms & held her tightly. Everything else ceased to exist for the two of them. Yunho started to tenderly caress Yuri’s back. Then he stared deeply into her eyes, “Yul, I love you.” The gentle probing kisses soon escalated into a wildly passionate one as their long starved body & emotion demanded for more.

Yuri pulled back abruptly, ending the kiss. Yunho blinked in confusion, his passion-clouded mind refusing to accept the emptiness he was feeling, “Oppa, we still have a lot of things to discuss.” Finally, what Yuri had said hit Yunho like a bucket of cold water.

He had to sit down. His whole state-of-being was still spinning like a top, “Yul, I don’t understand. I thought you said you wanted to start all over again.”
